Devil Slave (Satan system)-Chapter 1285: Ten thousand struggle of lost souls.
Scholar Zobo and Prince calcium suddenly turned to Enel and both of them chuckled.
"Only a drop from the Bowl of forgiveness and you are already shaking like a toddler." Prince Calcium added.
The Bowl of forgiveness had fate imbued water that had the ability to temporarily shut down a person’s powers. Of course, a sip from it would shut down a person’s powers for twenty four hours. But this drop on the crown of their heads will make them lose their magic for a about an hour, which would be the duration for this competition.
Both Scholar Zobo and Prince Calcium had long trained for the use of the Vowl of forgiveness. After all, this was resources that they had access to.
the criteria for one to meet the prophet was too harsh for such men of pompous caliber. There would rather take the easy way out which involved the temporary loss of their magic. For this reason, the moment the drop had been placed on their foreheads, they had instantly known what to do or expect.
Enel on the other hand did not know what to expect. Besides, his body was very very unique. they had been none like him in all the world. He was a living, breathing abomination. After all, Enel carried a body that was Demonic, Angelic, human and Werewolf hybrid in nature.
How magic even flowed in his body would make the most knowledgably scholars of the universe wonder their minds out for thousands of year if they had the opportunity to dissect him open for a bit.
The ltemporary loss of magic had hit him differently. just then, they was a side comment from Scholar Zobo. "After Truth Trash. Only words you have. No might to back it up. Everyone knows that it is the quality capability of one’s soul that determines true strength. After all, there is a reason that it is known that the Before truth which is the spirit or otherwise called the soul realm guides the affairs of the physical."
Those words sparked memories in Enel’s head. He could not help but recall what had happened when Uriel had been teaching him about the Before truth.
He had indeed spoken those words. He had told Enel that all that happens in the After truth has first happened in the Before truth. And to truly master the After Truth, one must have conquered the Before truth.
On remembering this, Enel took a sharp breath in and out and then he focused his soul in his body. Then again, the satan system had already displayed advice on this.
He gave a side smile as he slowly stood to his feet. Of course, it seemed like it was with much difficulty. Then again, it was. If one were to describe the feeling right now, it was like his body was not his own. Meaning that he was not controlling it based on nerves, muscle and bones alone, but like a puppet using strings from the Before truth to Control the Body in the After truth which was the puppet.
It was an intriguing feeling. One that Enel would obviously need some time to get used to.
"Hahaha!!! Who could have thought that i would really be getting a new coat of skin." Prince Calcium commented casually.
Even the scholar chuckled at this.
The environment suddenly transformed, instantly, becoming an arena as huge walls suddenly grew from the ground. the people backed away as fast as they could, running out of the arena.
The rest of the city even adjusted itself, such that the activities of other pilgrims was not disturbed. One look at the walls and Enel could tell that they were all runed. But it was the kind that could disintegrate itself and then form into new things.

Enel remembered the tatse of the red sand after kissing it. It was just as he had thought it was.
This made him frown a bit, but he actually expected this much. After all, what was an Holy city without the illusion of miracles.
It was not long that rumors of what was happening had spread to all parts of the city. All of a sudden, everyone’s interest had been pulled to this place.
Even the guards were no exception. After all, this was a bet for the Bowl of forgiveness and those participating were of great importance in the outside world.
Unknown to no one, this distraction created for the oppotune time, that a certain fellow rushed through the city gates undetected. Then again, since most of the universe operated by magic, the gates sensed people by their magic print, which was likre a unique finger print of each person.
Unknown to them, this person did not have magic.
.....
Back a the suddenly made arena, the priest that would officiaet this competition stepped forward. As he explained the rules. "A beast will be allowed into the Arena. The first of any of you that will tame it will win. Understand this. Any ability one has concerning the soul is allowed. Meaning that you are allowed to use soul runes. Other than that, even touching it is not allowed and if you disobey, you will be immediately disqualified."
On saying that the need of specialization for this competition was going to be the use of runes, Scholar Zobo pumped up his chest. his pride was evident. After all, he was a person that was born in the Before Truth. His Plane literally existed there.
There was practically no one in this place that knew more about that realm than he did. As Far as he was concerned, he had bagged this. There was also the fact that because of his origins, soul runes came easy for him.
Meanwhile, prince calcium frowned a little.
Just then, as the crowd who now sat in stands leaned forward to observe, a loud rumbling was heard as a Beast of the void forced upon the land burst through a gate on one of the sides.
This beast was like nothing Enel had ever seen.
Firstly, it was like a giant worm. However, careful observation and one could see that they were like a million arms and legs on his body, all wriggling about in a very disgusting to watch manner.
The sight of which made Allison frown. However, at such a time, Commander Marian leaned over. "Do you think he will actually make it?"
Allison, having knowledge about the creature that had just entered the Arena could not help but shake her head. After all, she knew certain characteristics about this creature.
It was called The Ten thousand struggle of lost souls. That was literally its name. the reason for this was that this creature was a very unique parasite. It needed other creatures to survive, but how it did this was not like the usual.
A lot of parasites will find away to grab unto their host’s body and live there, feeding off the host, not minding until there eventually kill the host.
However, it was entirely different here.
This Creature did not larch unto its host, but instead made them larch unto it. Because it existed, lacking a soul of its own, it needed to survive in a world were the before truth ruled the After truth, it would lock unto an unsupecting individual and absorb them into itself.
its body secreted substances that preserved the person’s body while the soul is eternally consumed slowly and forever. however, as it grows, the more souls it needs to survive, and thus its body made out of so many limbs and hence its name as a beast as the Ten Thousand struggles of lost souls.
These things were said to infinitely grow. They had no end. As long as they could eat more people, there would be able to survive.
Luckily, mother nature was fair enough such that its reproduction rate was quite low, and since it was a parasite that relied heavily on other creatures to survive, as long as it was isolated, one was safe.
Also, since it did not have a soul of its own, it literally did not exist at its core in the Before truth. Meaning that one could not control it from the Before Truth.
Even Prince Calcium and the confident Scholar Zobo had to admit that this was a hurdle.
The only criteria for subduing the beast was to use soul runes, but the object of their larch did not posses a soul of its own. If they tried to simply take control of it, there would only be coming in contact with a thousand tortured souls.
One had to be very pragmatic in such a situation.
The mass of disjointed flesh approached. Its head was a constant shift and change of faces. All of whom had been its victims. Each one of them was in pain, some tearing down, crying for freedom, some to be killed. Some even complained saying that they had families, a daughter, a son, a wife and a husband.
They had cried these same words for a very long time, but none will hear their plea. This torture was just as worse as Hell.
The Creature slowly advanced forward.
