Victor’s scowl remained, but it was tinged with confusion. His claws flexed at his sides, his aura flickering like an unsteady flame. "What are you talking about?" he growled. "What king? What are you trying to prove here?"

Enel stepped closer, his golden eyes piercing, almost glowing in the dim light. He stared at Victor, his gaze steady, as though searching for something buried deep within the man’s soul.

"Are you really this dumb?" Enel asked, his voice calm but laced with a subtle bite. "Do you not yet realize who you’re talking to? Look at me, Victor. Look into my eyes and see."

Victor hesitated, his brow furrowing as Enel leaned in slightly, the distance between them growing smaller.

"Look into my eyes and remember," Enel continued, his tone gaining weight. "Remember the man who gave you the courage to fight for your freedom. The man who showed you how to stand against your brother. The man who made you believe in something greater—who made you stand for what you believed in. Look into my eyes and find the one who made you an Alpha."

Victor’s breath hitched as his gaze locked with Enel’s. He stared intently, his mind racing, the golden glow of Enel’s eyes pulling him into memories buried deep within him. The room seemed to fade away, the only thing that existed was that unyielding stare.

And then, it hit him.

Victor’s eyes widened, his lips parting in shock. "Big brother Lenny…" he whispered, the name barely audible.

The reaction was immediate. Gasps echoed around the room, the werewolf commanders exchanging stunned looks. Even Allison, still on her knees, raised her head, her face a mask of disbelief.

Enel was her mate, but even her knew that he was a mask of many secrets. And he kept them all to himself, allowing her only know parts of him that he allowed.

Victor staggered back a step, his claws retracting as he stared at Enel in something bordering on awe and terror. "The face… it’s different," he stammered, his voice shaking. "But the gaze… I remember the gaze."

Enel inclined his head slightly, a faint, knowing smile touching his lips.

Commander Kael’s voice broke the silence, his words trembling with shock. "Lenny… Tales? The Lenny? The man who shook the universe?"

Commander Marian added in a hushed tone, "The only human to challenge the norms and rise to become king of a Primary Earth…OUR KING!"

Victor swallowed hard, the name echoing in his mind, bringing with it a flood of memories. He clenched his fists, the emotions swirling inside him overwhelming.

Enel’s voice cut through the moment, calm yet unyielding. "Now that you know who I am," he said, his golden eyes locked on Victor, "won’t you give up? Won’t you stop this madness?"

Victor’s head hung low for a moment, his shoulders trembling. Then, to everyone’s surprise, tears began to fall from his eyes.

"I’m sorry," he whispered, his voice breaking. He looked back up at Enel, his expression a mixture of pain and determination. "But I can’t stop. Not now."

The room fell silent once more...

...

Tomato and Perseus burst out of the chambers, their movements swift and urgent. The moment they stepped outside, their eyes were drawn upward. High in the sky, the host of fallen angels hovered ominously, a sight that froze their breath for a moment.

Some of the angels had humanoid forms, their faces unnervingly perfect, radiating an otherworldly beauty that masked their deadly intent. Others were grotesque—giant spheres covered in countless eyes that darted in every direction, each eye glowing with cold intelligence.

Despite their varied forms, one thing tied them all together: wings white as untouched snow, stark against the darkened sky.

Far above, they floated like an ominous storm. But the majority had descended, moving toward the massive volcano that loomed beyond the city’s edge. That was where Vandora, the Hell Beast, reside. She was the guardian of treasures too powerful to fall into the wrong hands.

The earth trembled violently beneath them, shaking buildings and causing fissures to crack through the streets. Thick, black ash clouded the sky, and rivers of molten magma spilled from the volcano, surging toward the city like a fiery tide. Rocks rained down in chaotic showers, some no larger than a fist, others the size of entire boulders.

Screams filled the air.

The people of the city were in chaos, fleeing in every direction. Mothers clutched their children, desperate to find safety. A young woman, no more than twenty, ran with her toddler in her arms, her feet slipping on the uneven ground. She didn’t see the massive rock hurtling from above until it was too late. Both mother and child were crushed beneath it, their bodies reduced to nothing but blood and shattered bones.

Not far from them, an older man struggled to help his injured wife walk, his arm around her trembling shoulders. They had almost made it to the gates of a nearby shelter when a smaller fragment of rock hit the man squarely in the back of the head. He crumpled instantly, dragging his wife down with him. Her cries for help were lost in the chaos around them.

The werewolf guards fought valiantly to control the situation, but it was too much. Without the city’s defenses, there was nothing to hold back the devastation. Guards were helping people flee, others trying to intercept falling rocks or push back the rivers of molten lava that threatened to engulf the streets. But it wasn’t enough.

Perseus’s jaw clenched as he took in the carnage. He turned to Tomato, his voice tight with urgency. "Tomato! Go to the volcano. Vandora’s holding them back, but she can’t do it alone. If those fallen angels get what they’re after…"

Tomato hesitated for a fraction of a second, her sharp eyes scanning the destruction around her. "What about the city? It’s—"

"I’ll handle it!" Perseus cut her off, his voice firm despite the chaos. "These people need someone to protect them from the lava and falling debris. I’ll do everything I can to hold the line here."

Tomato looked at him, her usual smirk replaced by a grim determination. She placed a hand on his shoulder briefly. "Don’t you dare die, Perseus," she said, her voice softer than usual but laced with resolve. "I’ll punch your corpse if you do."

He gave her a faint smile, though it didn’t reach his eyes. "Same to you."

Without another word, Tomato turned and sprinted toward the volcano, her figure disappearing into the rising ash and smoke. Perseus watched her go for a moment before turning back to the chaos. His hands crackled with green lightning.

The screams of the dying filled his ears, and the weight of his responsibility bore down on him like the falling rocks above....
