Everyone was speechless while Beldathiel poured a cup of tea and enjoyed seeing their shocked expressions. She then looked at Mykel who seemed to already know the answer a long time ago and just pretended like he didn't know.

"Funny isn't it? They made us the evil ones when the truth is they sacrificed all of you for a simple agreement between us and them. Gods that so greedy that they would rather kill all of you than sacrifice one of their own," Beldathiel said and slurped the tea as she started to like the taste of the tea.

"You're lying," Aston clenched his fists as he glared at Beldathiel. "If the Gods sacrificed us, then why would they bother to give us powers?" He asked.

"False hope is better than a devastating truth," Mykel answered as he looked at Beldathiel's hand, offering the cookie and wanting him to open his mouth. "They want you to think you have hope to survive, believing that you can either win or die trying," he added and then grabbed the cookie from Beldathiel's hand.

Everyone didn't want to believe it, but at the same time, they started to realize from the moment they relied on Mykel. Everything was rigged from the very beginning and it all made sense why those creatures and the demons invaded them.

While everyone was thinking about it, Beldathiel munched the cookie in Mykel's hand and chuckled. Mykel was looking at her with his eyebrows raised because of the way she acted in front of him.

"There's only one line of descendants that we don't want to kill. It's the Mother's descendants because we respected her and for she who made me alive right now," Beldathiel pointed out as she looked at Elestria. "In fact, she offered herself to be sacrificed. But, we didn't want that since she was the only one who protected us from behind," she continued.

"If that's the case, why don't you come down to our world and kill us all from the very beginning? This situation and your words don't make any sense. Like right now, rather than you kill us, you treated us like a guest," Javelin asked.

"Because it's an unfair agreement if we sacrificed our eldest sister, the strongest for mere mortals who have no value," Beldathiel answered as she walked back to the throne. "So we asked for something else that was equal to the bargain. We seal our eldest sister in exchange the seal can only be undone if all her sisters died in mortal's hands," she sat on her throne and leaned forward to hug her leg.

"It was a fair trade but at the same time, it's still your loss and the reason they agreed was because it would be impossible for us to kill all of you. But they didn't expect there's someone that can fulfill your wish, and right now you're treating that person like a savior," Elestria explained and realized why Beldathiel had been acting docile and showed interest toward Mykel.

"Those who can't see an opportunity are ignorant, those who can't take advantage of the opportunity are a fool," Beldathiel smiled as she rested her chin on her knee.

Everyone took their time to digest all the information that they received from Beldathiel. The empty square had been slowly being filled with puzzles, but they still couldn't get the big picture of the puzzle.

"You said you knew why we came here. If you know, does that mean you will reject what we are going to propose?" Elestria asked.

"No, it's quite the opposite. I will listen to your proposal of truce, but do you really want to do it?" Beldathiel answered and her tone turned serious and her eyes became as cold as ice.

The peaceful atmosphere and the chill breeze that made them feel at ease and sleepy turned cold that gave chills down their spines. The breeze and wind felt so cold that it struck right into their bones and made them shiver.

"I will give you two options before you decide to propose that truce. First, I will agree on the truce, but in exchange in a hundred years, I will massacre every living being in your world including your descendants," Beldathiel said with a serious expression. " Second, I will offer my life to you now and try to end this cycle once and for all. But, the moment I die, my eldest sister will regain all her power and she will try to kill not only the Gods but all of you as well," she continued.

At that moment, they were reminded that Beldathiel was an Erve and no different from those Gods. She was cunning and opportunist as was what she had just said earlier. She was being nice not because it was her true self but because she just wanted to, and she could be as evil as a demon because she got an opportunity that she couldn't miss.

Since Elestria was the only one who had the authority and the responsibility for humanity, she should be the one who could choose an answer. With that being said, everyone was looking at her and waiting to see which choice she would choose.

Elestria was thinking really hard about the decision she was going to make. The first option would only make her a murderer and it didn't solve the problem at all because it was basically accepting defeat. The second option on the other hand, if they decided to fight the eldest sister, death was imminent and nothing could stop it. It was basically fastening their deaths and didn't even give the people a chance to live, sabotaging their right to life.

She took her time and then glanced at Mykel as she thought if he was capable of defeating the eldest sister. But even though Mykel was strong, the eldest sister could win against all the Gods if it wasn't because they backstabbed her. In the first place, it wasn't about whether Mykel could do it or not, but the fact she made the decision based on passing the responsibility on to Mykel that would only make her look bad.

If Mykel was indeed capable of defeating the eldest sister, what would come after that? It was simple, and the answer was she would be looked down on and hated for the decision she made. Luck or not if they succeeded, it didn't change the fact she chose the risk of annihilation by releasing the eldest sister from the seal that weakened her.

"If I chose the latter, would your eldest sister spare my family and my descendants?" Elestria asked which shocked everyone.

At that moment everyone wanted to strangle her for asking such a question. In the end, she only cared for her own blood and chose to sacrifice everyone else around her.

"Of course! My eldest sister won't touch you or anyone with the Mother's blood running in their veins," Beldathiel answered and took a sip of the tea with her eyes squinted at Elestria. "Are you sure about this? This will be enough to make the other humans want to kill you before they will die in my sister's hands," she warned.

"It's quite the opposite," Elestria stood up and felt the stabbing gazes from everyone. "With the privilege that I'm given, I'm using it to bargain for a third option," she said.

"I don't think the privilege that you have is something that you can change as you please. This privilege of yours is the result of our respect for your ancestor, nothing else and it won't change," Beldathiel said and looked at Elestria with a disappointed expression.

"That's if I don't possess something worth the bargain," Elestria said with confidence as she walked to the throne. "The power inside me is worth more than the respect you have for the Mother. Not only that, she will understand me more than anyone else because I want to offer myself in exchange for the safety of humankind," she pointed out as she looked up at Beldathiel.

Beldathiel raised her eyebrows and noticed the power that Elestria possessed. At first, she thought it was some mediocre power but she was wrong and never thought the Mother would give Elestria that power. She then looked at others who were given quite powerful abilities that could make themselves a God.

"Those emotions that your sister has. Resentment, anger, hatred, rage, despise, disgust, or even thirst, if she possesses what I possess, wouldn't that make her invincible?" Elestria asked as she put her hand on her chest. "I have done so many bad things that might take days to confess them all. With that, I would like to offer my life and my power in exchange for the safety of humanity," she stared at Beldathiel with a serious expression and determination. "Wouldn't that be enough because your eldest sister will be able to overwhelm the Gods with the power I possess?" she furrowed her eyebrows in desperation.

Beldathiel sat straight and looked at Elestria with curiosity because she could see Elestria's past with her power. She could see the deeds Elestria had done and how she manipulated her way up until she became the most respected and loved by her people while at the same time feared by other nations.

"That's an interesting offer you have there," Beldathiel stood up and then walked down the stairs. "I can take that offer, but what makes you think that I would keep my word?" she raised her eyebrows.

"We are at war, sometimes both sides can have an agreement that we hold up high to respect each other. I don't know if you would do it or not, but I know that you will respect the agreement," Elestria answered.

"Fair enough," Beldathiel smiled. "But, unfortunately, someone in here doesn't want you to die," she glanced at Mykel. "He's been staring at me coldly that he would kill me the moment I accept that offer," she pointed out.
