The Lust Lord Librarian-Chapter 81: Adal’s Speech
[You Have Reached Level 15!]
After reaching level 15, Adal selected the skill that he had previously decided on from before: Elemental Defence.
With this, he took a look at his system. It had been a while since he had seen all of his skills laid out in front of him.

...
The system is becoming awfully crowded. If I was not a man with perfect memory, it would be impossible to remember every skill I have.
...
With Adal’s surplus of lustful skills, it was clear to him that there should not be a woman who exists that he could not pleasure. After all, Princess Opal was lying right beside him, naked and pleasured, whilst he himself was still yet to be fully satisfied.
Adal took out his phone and glanced at his current quests. There was only one, and it was to sleep with a woman of a different race. A difficult quest for sure.
With his credits still so low, there was no need for him to even think about trying to purchase anything from the store. Still, he had a look to see if there was anything worth rushing for.
Only one item caught his eye, which was a ring that could block any physical attack once a day, costing 1500 credits. The other two options were weapons that seemed weaker than the sabre he had taken from Musa Desertsword.
He decided to ignore them and wait until the store had reset...
...
With one of his future wives already pleasured, Adal made his way back towards the Antarctica Library and headed back through the Outer Realm Gate.
It was still daytime, which meant that Penelope and Juliette were still running the library.
He expected things to be quite unsettled when he arrived, and he was right.
...
Adal found the library packed with worried visitors. Penelope and Juliette hurried around the place, trying their best to ease the worries of them all.
"The king is dead!"
"Not just the King. Even his children and wife have been killed too. They have left the Torn Kingdom with no heir!"
"What will happen to our nation!"
"Have you seen the riots?!"
Adal walked from the second floor and listened to the stresses of the people.
Through the window, he could see that outside, on the city streets, it was in a similar state. Riots were an overstatement, but there was clearly a large amount of unrest spreading throughout Fairwhite City.
"Everybody calm down. I’m sure everything will be alright. We must be patient." Penelope said, trying her best to ease everybody’s nerves. It hardly worked.
Juliette stood beside her, trying to help, but Adal could see the worry in her eyes.
After examining the crowd, and gauging how they were feeling, he finally cleared his voice and spoke.
"Visitors, you are making a lot of noise in my library."
His voice cut through the chatter, and suddenly, everyone’s head turned towards the second floor, where the tall man with white-blonde hair stood over them.
Adal saw Juliette and Penelope’s eyes light up at the sight of him. They were pleased to hear that he was safe. Only then did Adal realise that his two other women were also somewhere in the crowd; Willow and Colette. The two older women seemed to be huddled close to each other, as though they had kindled some sort of friendship.
Their eyes also lit up as they spotted Adal. It was why they came to the library, after all.
Anything else to add to the pressure?
"As we all know, the royal family have met their tragic end at the hands of... who knows. It is horrible news. Perhaps the worst we have ever heard in the history of the kingdom... But we have not heard of worse in literature?"
The visitors looked around at each other, confused, shrugging their shoulders.
Adal continued.
"Perhaps not you all, but I most certainly have. I have read tales of empires rising and falling. I have read tales of great betrayals and revenge. I have read tales of... everything. There is not a scenario that I have not read, and so when I am faced with these situations here in Boen, the shock might be lessened."
As his words continued, Adal noticed a few of the listeners nodding in agreement. They saw the wisdom in Adal’s words.
He was not suggesting that reading had made him numb to the events that were taking place that day, but rather, they had helped him understand that they were a possibility in life.
"Who can say what will happen to the future of the Torn Kingdom? I certainly can not. But what I do know, is that regardless of what happens, there is one thing that can always take me away from the struggles of the world if needed."
He reached towards a shelf and withdrew a random book. One he had rewritten himself, like many others.
He thrust the book up into the air.
"I will lose myself in the world of literature, when the real world becomes unbearable!"
Grunts of approval now spread throughout the crowd, as the readers of the library held their books closer to their chests. The words of the librarian had started to touch them.
"Mister Librarian is right. The number of times I have come to this library to escape from my troubles."
"So have I."
"Yes, and myself."
Everyone found themselves agreeing with Adal.
His words did not erase the terrible events that had happened that day, but they most certainly eased the minds of many.
Once he was done, he smiled at the visitors to his library.
"Now, until we hear word from the council, you are welcome to stay here and read, if you do not have families to return to. The library will stay open overnight to help those who need it."
