DESTINY GAMES-Chapter 292: The 100-year Deal.
So he wanted to ask when the first god king said, "They is a way to enslave her and your plan has some merit. But that mark on your arm won’t do to enslave the Will of your world even if you manage to possess it. You will need something more powerful. You will need a seed of Yggdrasil. But what can you give in exchange for it?"
Another god king interrupted, "Don’t ask him what he can exchange for it. He has nothing to give us."
Another one said, "Even if he does, it will take forever before we can find out. His mind is too slow, and we have other things to do than watch this mortal flounder about."
The first god king said, "Fine. Let him give us a world. It should be a world with a pantheon and a god king?"
"What? That’s too much."
"It is not too much. He will be a god king if he succeeds, so he should be capable of giving us a world with a god king."
"I think it is too much work for a new god king to invade and subjugate a world with an older god king and ancient pantheon. Let him give us two small worlds. Something like Lignum can do."
"Two worlds is still too much. One world is fine. After all, he will be one of us, not some outsider. There is no need to fleece him. We should just ask for the cost of the raw material needed to create the seed."
They argued about the matter of compensation for a while. None of them asked him for his opinion on the matter. They didn’t even behave as if he was present with them.
He couldn’t see them. He was too weak, and his mind was too slow to speak with them at their pace. So he was ignored.
Eventually they came to an agreement.
The first God king said, "All in favor?"
Everyone was in favor of the deal. So the first God king passed the judgment to Kelvin.
"It has been decided. You will receive a seed of Yggdrasil. In exchange, you will deliver any world of your choice to the Yggdrasil civilization within a hundred years."
"You’re free to go."
Then he was expelled from the white world.
When he was gone, one of the god kings said, "You know that that deal is not binding, right? He didn’t give his consent."
The first god king said, "I know. But I would rather argue with him about the forced deal when he can talk than listen to him slur his words right now."
That made the god kings chuckle.
One of them said, "There is also the fact that we can destroy Icon’s plan for Earth-11."
The first god king admitted to it. "There is also that. I have always hated that ignorant mortal. We were doing him and Earth-11 a favor, but he thought we were the enemy."
Another one said, "He thinks so, because he has never participated in the foreign battlefield and seen what we do to worlds we invade."
"He is just ignorant and full of himself. If not for us, he wouldn’t ever become a demigod."
"He lacks the fortitude to be a leader. He is too spineless."
The god kings had a lot of bad things to say about Icon. They said all of these in less than one second. Then they turned their attention to something else. Discover hidden tales at novelbuddy
Only a few of them were interested in Icon and Kelvin enough to keep paying attention to what Kelvin was doing. They wanted to see how his plan would turn out.
They all want a new god king from another version of Earth to appear so that Yggdrasil will become stronger. But they were not anxious enough about it to keep track of what’s going on.
They have already given an ultimatum of which there are still a few months and 12 years remaining. It means that no matter what happens, they will get one in 12 years.
That god king doesn’t have to be Kelvin, so most of them are not concerned about his situation.
----
Kelvin’s mind was returned to his body. But it was still burdened by the information he had received, so he remained frozen.
It took a few seconds for him to recover. When he did, his eyes lit. After all, he had just processed the fact they had given him something to enslave Wrath and force her to let him bind his existence to hers.
He briefly thought about what they said about him being slow. He doesn’t think he was that slow. His mind had taken the same amount of time he usually uses to understand things.
It was normal conversational speed for him. But it was just too slow for them.
He thought to himself, "The problem is with them. They were too fast."
He didn’t feel insulted that they thought he was slow. He didn’t even care that they hadn’t asked for his opinion about the deal. All he felt was excitement and expectations for the so-called seed that they sold to him.
His anticipation peaked when the seed was delivered two seconds after his mind recovered. A young man with wings on his sandals popped into existence in front of him with a green ball in his hand.
The young man dropped the green ball and left immediately. He said, "Sorry, can’t talk. Very busy. Good luck on your endeavors, though. I’m rooting for you."

"Also, extend my greetings to Wrath. I guess this is the last time I will see her. Such a shame. She was quite fun."
The true god appeared for an instant but left words that would have taken him a few seconds to say. It made Kelvin say, "No wonder they thought I was retarded."
Wrath didn’t know what had happened. So she was shocked to see Hermes. She was further shocked when she heard what he said and saw the green ball.
She became deathly afraid. She was so scared that she began to plead.
"Don’t do this, Kelvin. I’m sure we can work through this. I’m sure we can come to some sort of arrangement."
He wanted to gloat and reject her. But he didn’t want her to distract him. For all he knows, she might be putting up effective resistance while delaying him.
He couldn’t let that happen. So he just snorted at her words and grabbed the green ball.
The ball was floating in the air, but it was very heavy. It refused to budge when he grabbed onto it.
He didn’t mind that. He went ahead with his plan by activating his new Poltergeist ability. He targeted the green ball with the ability.
Multicolored light appeared in his hand holding the green ball. It sank into the ball without resistance.
The ball was bigger than it appeared. There was no resistance to the possession, but it was too big for him to possess. It felt as if he was trying to move a mountain.
The multicolored light sank into the green ball for hours. It was a deep well that he was slowly filling up with water one drop at a time.
It was tiresome work. It didn’t help that Wrath was discouraging him throughout the process.
"You can’t do it. It is too powerful for you. You are way in over your head."
He didn’t listen to her. He let himself be encouraged to continue when he saw the green color of the ball be eroded by various colors a little at a time.
It took him 45 hours before the green ball finally changed into a multicolored ball. When it did, it sank into his body completely.
He sighed in relief and sank to the ground to rest.
Wrath saw that he had succeeded, so she began to warn him. "Don’t force me, or I will make sure you gain nothing."
As she was speaking, she felt an external influence begin to act on her. The golden tattoos on Kelvin’s body also began to flash. A multicolored light began to erode them a little by little.
She felt dread while Kelvin felt joy. He sighed in relief and said, "Finally."
The green ball was actually a machine. It is also a miniature factory.
It is both of those things because it is made of nanobots coming together to form a factory for creating nanobots. So it is a machine for creating more of itself.
It is not the tree of Yggdrasil. It is just a seed that can grow into a tree of Yggdrasil. It has the potential but lacks the direction.
Most of the direction was removed by the god kings to prevent the secrets of Yggdrasil from falling into his hands and to make the seed easy for him to possess.
All that is left in the seed is the ability to replicate things. If, for example, he copies something that can enslave others, the seed will grow up to be able to enslave others.
