Demon CEO's Hidden Love: Mr Grayson Stole Me From My Abusive Husband-Chapter 330: A Somewhat Decent Father
"Judging by the look in your eye, it’s clear you remember what you did to her." Thane pointed out.
Luther shook his head, "She fell by herself-"
"There is no use lying, I don’t acre for your useless excuses. You’re a smart man, so you should know I have some use for you, if not, I would have killed you already." He told him, his voice still and stoic.
’He’s threatening my life as casually as one ordered coffee, he can’t be an ordinary person.’ Luther thought, trying to connect the dots.
"What is it you want from me?" he decided to ask, stalling would be detrimental to him. He was hungry, and standing on his last legs.
"You know something about Ethan, don’t you?" he asked, finally laying out his intentions.
"Mr Halton?" he echoed.
"He stabbed you during your meet up, it’s obvious you have some knowledge he wants to keep away from the public eye. Tell me what it is you know, and I’ll spare your life." Thane announced.
Luther shook his head, "I made a mistake, I thought I could use Ethan, but that man is insane, I am willing to help you, but I don’t know anything about him-" he was saying, only for Thane to cut him off.
"Lie to me again, and I will make Cassie suffer dearly for it." he interjected.
Luther’s breath hitched. How did he know? Was he bluffing?
He bit his cheeks, his heart racing.
Just how much did he know?
Thane fed his curiosity, "You wouldn’t meet Ethan if you didn’t want something from him. You escaped-" he corrected himself, "no, I let you escape so you could lead me to your main ally. However, you didn’t anticipate him stabbing you and leaving you to die. If my people did not swoop in, perhaps the police would’ve found your corpse by the shore."
Luther frowned, "Just what are you after? What is your relationship with Brooke? Did she hire you to do this?"
"Luther, in your condition, the only thing you should be concerned over is how you’re going to curry favor with me." he shifted Luther’s attention to his legs.
"Escape is impossible in your condition, your business is finished and you’re a wanted criminal, without me, you’re finished." he alerted him, drawing a more vivid picture of his situation.
But Thane did not stop there, "Oddly enough, you’re not a completely horrible father to Cassie. Even now, I’m confident, that the only gamb ling chip I have against you is that brat, Cassie. You may be the only person in the world who loves her."
His words scared Luther, not because of his situation, but because he knew deep down that his captor was right. He couldn’t trust a money grubber like Serena not to throw Cassie under the bus. And when it came down to Ethan, he was the last person he wanted around Cassie.
"Please, don’t harm my daughter, we can make a deal, any deal, but as long as she can continue shining on screen, I will do anything for her." he swore.
"Then my offer still stands. Tell me what it is you know about Ethan, and I will protect Cassie from Ethan, I promise you." Thane told him, his coaxing tone sounding no different from an imposing threat.

Mallory’s eyes went round, as she stared at the photos laid out on Matthew’s table, photos of William, in the company of a blonde woman, in what looked to be a strip club.
"What is this?" she asked, picking up a photo.
Matthew cracked a wide grin, "What does it look like to you?"
She gasped, "A stripper? William?" she could not believe that Edward’s straight laced son would be involved with someone that could cause a messy scandal.
"How did you even get these?"
He reached into his drawer and pulled out a red invite letter, "One of my friends was throwing a birthday party, and from I heard the club was invite only. So, you could imagine my shock when I ran into my upright cousin, in the arms of a stripper."
Mallory pulled herself a chair, her eyes glued to the photos, "It seems he’s a regular customer for this lady." she pointed at the blonde woman hooked under his shoulder.
"Here, here, and even there," she reached for a photo of William entering the VIP lounge, a waiter holding a tray behind him, and the blonde stripper beside him.
Matthew nodded, he reached into his drawer and took out a black folder, "Her name, Vanessa Stones." he passed the folder containing her information to Mallory. "She’s a single mother, with a deep tie to loan sharks. Or rather, she was swimming in debt."
"Was?" she raised her brow, flipping through the background check information.
"From what I gathered, ever since meeting William, not only did she pay back her mortgage on her house, she won custody of her daughter, and paid back ever single one of her debts. There’s talk going around that she’s set to resign in a few months." he briefed her.
"That’s very...generous of William, I don’t reckon any one would go that far for someone who’s just a stripper." she immediately caught what he was throwing down. "So, this was the leverage you had against William? How fortunate." she closed the folder.
"But, you can’t leverage this forever, if you want to take Edward’s side down for good, you need something more incriminating." Mallory stated. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
He rolled his eyes, "You don’t get it, do you? Grandfather hates low class people, he would never accept this kind of relationship. He would rather die than allow tainted blood enter the family." he explained.
"But that’s only on the assumption that William is that serious about this woman. He’s not like Thane who would fight against the family for his love, which is why we need something much more incriminating." she suggested.
"And, I think we’re barking up the wrong tree." she added.
"What do you mean?" Matthew inquired.
"I mean, that we need to take out their ace." in plainer words she said, "We need to take out Edward, and then the rest will follow."
