Days as a Spiritual Mentor in American Comics-Chapter 4355 - 3449: Midnight Sons (11)
Chapter 4355 - 3449: Midnight Sons (11)
```html
The long wand struck someone once, causing both Ghost Riders to fall to the ground. Their energy seemed exhausted, and the flames on their bodies extinguished, reverting them to their ordinary appearances.
Johnny was the first to get up, looking slightly bewildered as he stood holding his forehead, trying to recall what had happened.
When Danny stood up, he shoved Johnny and yelled at him, "Look at the mess you've made!"
Johnny glanced at him but said nothing, limping towards his motorcycle, seemingly intending to leave.
Danny rushed over again, blocking his path, saying, "You ruined everything, and now you just want to walk away?!"
"What the hell are you talking about?!" Johnny said impatiently, "I'm just doing my job. Can't you stop bothering me?"
"Who are you working for? Is it Mephisto?! That damned demon who ruined the Cage Family and destroyed everything we had!"
"Who I work for is none of your business! I..."
"Hold on a second." Stark flew over, slowly landing, and looked at both of them, saying, "Don't you think you need to explain what's going on here?"
"It must be Mephisto's doing!" Danny said, "He sent Johnny here to spread curses, that damned devil!"
Stark turned his gaze to Johnny. Johnny appeared somewhat weary, shaking his head and saying, "I'm only here to complete the Ghost Rider's job."
"What job?"
"To judge sinners," Johnny sighed, continuing, "I followed the scent of sin here. There are two souls here that I should take away."
"Then what about the monsters? What's going on with them?"
"I don't know, it has nothing to do with me."
"He's lying!" Danny emphasized, "Devils are always excellent at deception. Mephisto couldn't not know what's going on. He must have guided you here to fulfill his evil plot."
Stark turned his head. Miles jumped down from the rooftop and said, "There's some new discovery. Let's find a place to discuss further."
"Go to Stark Building..." Stark started to say but then recalled that during the day, Jarvis had informed him that representatives from the Roxon Corporation wanted to visit, indicating that the Stark Group had already caught their attention.
The other party probably had some mysterious magical means. Returning to the Stark Group so flagrantly would surely alert them.
Stark looked at Miles. Miles seemed a little troubled too. He didn't want to bring these two Ghost Riders of unknown origin to his base. If Peter was there and the two started fighting at the base, it would spell big trouble.
Miles' gaze landed on the figure standing behind the two of them.
At this moment, Danny also seemed to remember something and turned to look at the person behind him, clutching at a lifeline saying, "Moon Knight, you must have discovered Mephisto's plot. You're here to expose him, right?"
"Follow me," Danny only heard Moon Knight say.
With a sweep of his cape, he turned into a moonlight beam, flying in one direction.
Stark was the first to follow; the magic core on his chest flickered with brilliant light. He continued to accelerate, chasing that moonbeam.
Then he spun and sprinted, feeling the light envelop his vision, he asked, "Who are you?"
"Take a guess."
The voice was very familiar, but Stark couldn't confidently say the name. He felt unconsciously tense, as if he had entirely forgotten how to operate his mecha.
"Are you alright, sir? I'm back." Jarvis' voice startled Stark as it sounded in his ear.
"Oh, God!" Stark exclaimed, then said, "You came back at just the right time."
"I think so too," Jarvis said with a chuckle, "You don't know how adorable Little Billy is, drinking milk from a bottle and smiling at me."
Unable to hold back, Stark rolled his eyes and said, "You and Wanda are truly a match made in heaven."
"Oh, regarding that issue," Jarvis said, "I just reviewed the footage of the mecha and discovered that this suddenly appeared superhero should be Moon Knight, and his real identity is..."
"Wait!" Stark suddenly interrupted, saying, "We shouldn't excessively pry into the real identities of superheroes. Just like when I put on the mecha, you should call me Iron Man, not Tony Stark."
"Sir, have you heard of Schrödinger's cat? Simply put, if you never open a box, you don't know if there's a cat inside. To you, Moon Knight is that box, is that right?"
"No!" Stark denied, looking ahead as if focusing on flying, then said, "The cat promised me it's inside the box. To show my trust in it, I can't open the box."
"Alright, if that's how you think, then I'll cease analyzing Moon Knight's actions."
"No! Wait!" Stark said again, "You can analyze; there's no harm, right? As long as you don't tell me."
"Alright, sir, I will analyze, but I won't tell you."
"You really won't tell me?"
"Yes, sir, if that's what you want. There's no one in the world who can keep secrets better than a robot."
"You're not a robot," Stark hurriedly said, but quickly realizing something, coughed twice before saying, "What I mean is, from a scientific rigor perspective, you can't lump advanced electronic life entirely into robots, the term is inaccurate."
"I see," Jarvis said, his tone still steady, "How do you regard the confidentiality capabilities of advanced electronic life?"
"Of course... of course very good. But advanced doesn't mean flawless; anything mechanical is subject to error."
"Even your creations?"
Stark gritted his teeth, saying, "It's a scientific rule. Even the cosmos can go wrong, otherwise why are there so many universe administrators?"
"I see," Jarvis said.
After speaking, he remained silent. Stark also fell silent. They both stayed quiet for some time before Stark was the first to speak, saying, "Don't you have anything to say to that?"
"What? I was singing lullabies to Little Billy," Jarvis said, "He just fell asleep, but has woken up now, and I'm coaxing him."
Stark took a deep breath.
"But I also took the opportunity to conduct behavior analysis on Moon Knight from the combat footage," Jarvis continued, "Based on his battle performance, the match with Doctor Schiller is 0%."
"What?"
"Because Doctor Schiller generally doesn't fight," Jarvis said, "To be precise, he'd never personally be on the battlefield, so just by this action alone, the similarity is very low."
"But he said he wanted to be a superhero for a while," Stark said, "What if we take that as a precondition?"
"Even with that, the conformity is at most 60%."
"Why?"
"Firstly, jumping off the rooftop is not consistent with Doctor Schiller's behavioral habits. Generally, he wouldn't use an entrance that increases danger and spectacle simultaneously."
"Secondly, he wouldn't choose to discard his weapon, especially when it looks rare and expensive at a glance, he definitely wouldn't rashly increase the risk of losing it."
"Lastly, he wouldn't generously share his base with two ticking time bombs that could explode at any moment, especially if that base might have been newly renovated."
Stark's heart grew heavier.
The light finally stopped, and Stark found himself back in the Manhattan area. He followed the figure into an alley.
When he turned around, he found that no one was behind him.
Meanwhile, Miles and the two Ghost Riders, who could only keep up using physical means, were cursing.
Iron Man, what are you up to?! You two were flying faster and faster, did you not consider if we could keep up?!
After waiting for a while, the other few finally caught up.
The Moon Knight in front beckoned, and the end of the alley changed in appearance. A towering castle gate shimmered with cool light under the moon, looking magnificent.
Miles couldn't help but gasp in amazement. After pushing the door open, he was once again captivated by the giant fountain and the moon hovering above it. Moonlight filtered through the intricately patterned Gothic pointed arched windows, making the tall dome seem unreachable.
Stark glanced around and thought Jarvis was right. This beautiful house, how could Schiller allow two Ghost Riders in to cause trouble?
The moonlight had a calming and relaxing power, which drew Danny and Johnny's eyes to the spacious yet desolate palace, momentarily making them forget their quarrel.
Moon Knight walked up the central staircase in the hall, stopped by the window, and turned back to look at them.
Stark was the first to follow, with Miles trailing behind. Johnny and Danny lingered for a moment before climbing the stairs.
Stark saw Moon Knight's long cape cascading down the stairs in front of him and changed the words he was about to say.
"Do you know something, Moon Knight?"
"Yes, sir, you should ask him more questions. Language is an essential standard in behaviorism, and enough language samples can reveal ample information."
"I didn't ask you to analyze," Stark said, "I have great trust in Schiller; even if you arrive at analysis results, don't tell me."
"Understood, I got it."
"Do you really understand?"
"This conversation was repeated already ten minutes ago, sir. Please don't act more like a robot than I do."
Stark remained silently speechless. Without hearing a response from Moon Knight, he was about to pursue the question when Danny quickened his steps and said, "You surely know something, right? Moon Knight?"
Stark suddenly realized that Danny and Schiller had been together before, so they must know each other. Yet, now Danny seemed unaware that Schiller was Moon Knight. What was going on here?
"Most superheroes in this world have hidden identities," Jarvis said, "Those like you with public identities are the minority."
"Captain America's identity is also public."
"But Doctor Schiller certainly wouldn't choose to go public. He wouldn't want to be more of a hot topic online."
Stark paused in his steps and said, "Do you think it's possible that to prevent his identity from being exposed, he intentionally does things differently from usual? Like those you mentioned?"
"It's possible, sir. And if he's disguising himself, no one could figure it out. The box is completely closed, and unless you actively open it, you'll never know if there's a cat inside."
"But he can't be Moon Knight forever; if he continues to operate as a doctor, he'll have no reason to disguise himself."
"What if someone else is pretending to be Doctor Schiller?... Heart rate abnormal, initiating life support. Calm down, sir. Think positively; at least... at least you won't have to pay three hundred million every quarter in consultancy fees anymore."
