Cursed Bloodline: Awakened a Hidden Class in a Game World-Chapter 47: Rage Mode
Filled with pain and rage, the goblin lifted its hands into the air, both daggers pointed at Zane. Zane pulled out his dagger and retreated fast, escaping just before the goblin slashed down.
The goblin general suddenly started breathing heavily; every breath was loud and sounded rough. A black aura started spilling from its body.
[Goblin general has entered rage mode. All stats are doubled for the next 60 seconds.]
"Oh shit, I forgot about rage mode," Zane said.
The rage mode was a state that most monsters could enter when they were close to death, to give their all to finally bring down their opponent.
It collected their life force and used it as fuel to power them a very dark skill, yet powerful.
Boom
The goblin launched forward. Its speed had doubled, crossing the distance in only a second. He slashed at full speed. Zane knew there was no way he was taking that hit head-on, so he backed away, and the dagger passed right in front of his face.
He thought he escaped the attack, but the air passed by the slash cut into his nose and spilled blood all around.
Zane was stunned, but he didn’t allow that to slow him down. He retreated faster and managed to dodge the next attack perfectly.
Roarrrrrrr
The goblin charged at him recklessly, swinging both blades one after the other. Zane dodged from left to right, if one managed to touch him, he would be split in two.
Suddenly, the goblin lifted its feet and stomped the ground, causing another shockwave that made Zane struggle to stand, then it lunged forward at him, slashing with both blades.
There was no way for Zane to dodge, so he blocked. He raised both his drain claw and his dagger and blocked the attack.
The bones in his hands shattered immediately upon impact they stabbed out of his hands and protruded like spikes.
Pain shot up his body; it was immense and soul-crushing. The blood dripped down from his hands he couldn’t even hold his dagger, and it fell to the ground.
’Stay awake, don’t allow your eyes to close, Zane. Don’t pass out, you’ll heal up,’ Zane thought to himself, fighting against the pain.
While he was struggling with the pain, the goblin raised its hands to end it all, but Grey rushed forward. He leaped into the air, pulled his hands back for a Superman punch.
He punched with everything he had. His fist slammed into the ear of the goblin, splitting the skin, cracking the bones, and sending the goblin stumbling forward in pain.
His hands broke after that punch, but he didn’t care. He landed on the ground and rushed to Zane.
"Master, are you alright?" he asked, his face filled with worry. Zane simply raised one leg and kicked Grey in the stomach, sending Grey flying.
The moment Grey was sent flying, the dagger of the goblin tore through the air, passing just where Grey had been. The dagger stuck into the wall.
Grey was stunned—he didn’t even sense that the goblin had thrown anything. If not for Zane’s reaction, he would have died.
"Stay back, Grey. I’ll handle it," Zane spoke. He turned to look at the goblin, who had the cleaver in its hands now.
Zane’s hands had finished healing up at this point. He raised his arms to be sure the healing was complete, and then he spoke.
"Seems like I’m patched up. Let’s go again," he said, picking up his dagger and lunging forward again.
The goblin, seeing that the injuries it had valued were healing fast, became panicked. Just about thirty seconds remained for it. It had risked its life to finally kill Zane, so it wasn’t taking a loss.
It roared and rushed forward again. It started swinging its blade frantically, but Zane dodged quickly while waiting for the right moment.
Time was slowly ticking by, and the goblin knew this. So in the final ten seconds, it suddenly stopped attacking and then, through some means, channeled all that black aura into the blade of the cleaver, and then it attacked.
It slashed, and the aura it had collected at the top of the blade exploded outwards, slamming into Zane and throwing him into the wall.
It left a massive gash that would kill any normal person on his chest. Blood poured out like a fountain, but rather than stay down, Zane got back up.
The gash on his chest healed up in seconds.
[Floor boss rage mode has ended.]
When Zane saw that message, he smiled and looked at the goblin. Its life bar was on the final point. While it was in that rage mode, the life bar had been reducing rapidly—the effect of rage mode.
The goblin collapsed to its knees and coughed blood. It tried to move, but it was far too late for anything right now.
Zane swaggered toward it. He raised his dagger up, and without hesitation, he stabbed through it.

Zane saw several messages come in. Before he could even check them, a bright light shined in the room and they were teleported out.
He turned around to see the boss room, but it was already gone.
"Master, you did it," Grey said in happiness, but then his expression morphed into one of sadness.
"I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to help you, Master. I failed you," Grey said.
"Failed me? You didn’t. If it wasn’t for you interfering at that moment, I would’ve been done for. I was zoned out that moment, trying to keep the pain away. You saved me," Zane said and stretched his hand to shake Grey’s.
Grey was surprised and a little hesitant, but he took the hand and shook it.
"Alright, let’s go find the stairs that lead to the second floor," Zane said.
