Cultivating Through The Game-Chapter 652 - 350: One Person, Two Worlds, Three Times Confused_3
Lu Yu stared closely at the black wall, and was instantly bewildered. The snail shells plastered on the black wall were wriggling and creeping upward.
It seemed as if the snails hadn't crashed and died but had instead become one with the black wall.
Upon careful observation, Lu Yu noticed that this black wall was likely made from snail shells.
Which meant the wall was crafted using the black earth.
Boom! A loud noise rang out, and Lu Yu turned his head to look, disappearing from his original spot in the next instant.
He appeared at the source of the sound, and before him, a complete snail shell was climbing upward on the black wall.
The transparent snail inside the shell had vanished, leaving only the empty shell crawling toward the top of the black wall.
Perhaps the snail had entered the black wall, making it invisible to Lu Yu, so all he could see was a shell climbing upward.
After a moment of hesitation, Lu Yu decided to climb up this high wall made of snail shells.
Before climbing, Lu Yu reached out to try and create dents on the high wall; if he couldn't, he wouldn't be able to scale this unknown height of the wall.
After trying, Lu Yu found that only his right hand, charged with the power of annihilation, could damage the black wall and create a leverage point.
Here in the Netherworld, Spiritual Qi doesn't exist, so Lu Yu couldn't release the Spiritual Qi within him.
Not to mention, the Spiritual Qi would be neutralized by the massive presence of death energy here, potentially causing a colossal explosion from the neutralization of these energies, or perhaps an imperceptible obliteration.
Merely releasing Spiritual Qi, exposing himself as a living being, is already extremely dangerous.
Therefore, he could only rely on his physical strength, climbing step by step upward.
Glancing around to ensure there was no danger, Lu Yu crouched slightly, gathering his strength.
Boom~ Jumping with all his might, his upward speed instantly broke the sound barrier and continued to accelerate.
Until the upward momentum dissipated and his body began to fall, Lu Yu reached out with his right hand, digging into the high wall, pushing hard for leverage, continuing his ascent.
He could no longer see the ground beneath; besides the high wall, there was only mist all around, and he could only rely on the descent to judge if his direction was correct.
Climbing incessantly upward, Lu Yu still couldn't see the end, and solely relying on his right hand's force to climb posed a significant burden to his right arm.
His climbing speed gradually slowed down, and finally, he paused, gripping a hole he'd scratched out, hanging on the wall.
"What the hell is this wall? Why is it so high?" Lu Yu complained, thinking if this were on Earth, he'd probably have climbed into outer space by now, yet here, the end of the high wall was still elusive.
After resting for a while, just as Lu Yu was about to continue climbing, he suddenly heard a whooshing sound from below as if something was rapidly ascending.
In Lu Yu's mind, a picture appeared: a snail shell climbing the wall.
Slap~ Patting his forehead with his left hand, Lu Yu smiled, "How did I not think of such a simple thing? I've been relying too much on brute force, and my brain stopped working."
He moved toward the sound's direction, and shortly after, he spotted a complete black snail shell rising.
Lu Yu quickly approached the ascending snail shell, timing his move, swung his right arm, and leapt onto the snail shell.
Using the power of annihilation, he melted a pit into the snail shell, sat inside the pit, and watched the surrounding mist rapidly descend.
Not knowing how high he had climbed, the mist grew thinner until finally, the sky of the Netherworld came into clear view.
It turned out that the sky of the Netherworld was similar to the Divine Martial Realm's, with a moon hanging in the night sky, only this moon seemed eerie, as if emitting a chilling aura.
A thick cloud drifted by, covering the moon, and distant stars appeared in the night sky, glittering and resplendent.
After gazing at the moon, then at the stars, the snail elevator finally reached its end.
Lu Yu stood up, leaping onto the top of the high wall and looking around. Without the mist blocking his sight, he could see snail shells occasionally climbing up, which then melted into the high wall, making it continue to rise.
He walked toward the other side of the high wall, stood at the edge, and looked downward; below was a brightly lit city… a city?
Lu Yu was befuddled for the third time, looking back towards the other side of the high wall, which was a highland of desolate black soil mired in mist.
But this side was akin to viewing Earth from high above at night, gazing at the night scene of its most prosperous city, with pinpoints of light illuminating the land.
"What kind of world is the Netherworld, really?" Lu Yu pondered deeply, once again filled with immense curiosity.
