Chapter 283: Chapter 252: Purchase and Lease

Jeming discovered a group of familiar creatures!

A multi-segmented body like a spider, and a suddenly elongated, snake-like flexible abdomen and tail.

Aside from their slightly smaller offensive appendages at the front, and the extra fine hairs covering their dark shells.

The overall appearance of these creatures is exactly a replica of the "Spider-Snake Monster" Jeming previously captured in the wild that could use Spatial Ability!

Most importantly, the number of Spider Snakes caught by this Wizard at the stall is huge!

Apart from the few living samples used for display at the front of the stall, there were at least hundreds of these creatures locked in several large metal cages behind him.

"What is this?" Jeming forcefully suppressed his inner surprise and asked the stall owner, pointing at the creatures in the cage.

He didn’t hide his interest in this creature, after all, Wizards aren’t fools; there must be a reason for suddenly making an inquiry.

This Wizard seemed somewhat shabby.

He glanced at Jeming and immediately put on an enthusiastic smile, beginning to introduce the information related to these creatures:

"This Wizard really has an eye for things! This is a little creature I temporarily named ’Sound Wave Spider Snake.’ They are a low-end species in the food chain living under the clouds. Their most distinctive feature is colonizing and using ’Sound Wave Class’ skills."

"If an entire group attacks together, the mixed sound wave power is quite impressive, affecting even Second Level Wizards’ minds. But their personal power is too weak, even weaker than First Level Wizard Apprentices, so they’re easy to catch."

"As for the other specifics of these creatures, due to the short capture time, I haven’t had the chance to study them closely..."

Listening to his introduction, Jeming unassumingly picked up a "Spider-Snake Monster" locked as a living sample in front of the stall and fiddled with it.

Upon careful examination using the "All-Purpose Eye," Jeming could basically confirm that this thing should be of the same species as the powerful "Spider-Snake Monster" he caught.

However, the Spider Snake Monster he captured is likely a one-in-a million "mutant species."

"But, it’s quite unexpected that this seemingly weak, almost ’harmless to humans and animals’ creature becomes so powerful after mutation, even capable of threatening me!" Jeming mused internally.

However, this also indirectly highlighted the terrifying strength of "space" ability.

Given the all-encompassing research he plans to conduct on the mutated Spider Snake Monster, having numerous ordinary individuals as reference points becomes particularly important.

Moreover, if raised correctly, perhaps more mutants might be cultivated.

Having decided, Jeming asked for the price.

After a round of negotiation akin to a war of words, Jeming eventually purchased all the "Spider-Snake Monster" at the Wizard’s stall and his stock, totaling over ten thousand, for five thousand military merits.

The Wizard was elated after completing the transaction.

After all, not many Wizards are willing to purchase large quantities of low-level creatures that lack powerful combat capabilities or special resource output.

To express his gratitude, he even gifted Jeming a few cages equipped with basic Sealing Ability.

Jeming also felt he’d made a profit.

Thus, this transaction was a win-win for both parties.

However, he soon encountered a new problem. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Where should I put these things..." Looking at the cages continuously being transported over, Jeming pinched the bridge of his nose in slight distress.

He bought them all in a moment of excitement, but only realized after taking possession that over ten thousand Spider-Snake Monsters was indeed too many.

Even in cages, they took up substantial space.

His internal space simply couldn’t accommodate this large quantity of "goods."

The Wizard seemed to notice Jeming’s predicament and kindly informed him:

"If you have any trouble with storage, you can rent a large warehouse specialized for raising creatures at the camp’s Affairs Center. However, such warehouse rental isn’t cheap."

"If the rental period is too long, the cost might exceed the value of the loot itself. At that point, it might be better to sell the loot directly to the camp."

"I see, thank you for the information." Jeming expressed his gratitude.

Then, Jeming utilized Alchemy to lift all the heavy iron cages on the ground, suspending them behind him.

And with this pile of iron cages, he headed grandiosely towards the "Affairs Center."

Fortunately, in this camp full of strong individuals and monsters, there were plenty of Wizards with bigger presences than his.

Returning with large quantities of loot like him wasn’t uncommon, so it didn’t attract much attention.

Jeming soon found the Alchemy Puppet at the Affairs Center’s front desk.

"I’m here to rent a warehouse."

"Alright, please select the type of warehouse you wish to rent."

After a slight selection, Jeming immediately rented a "High-level Warehouse" theoretically capable of housing millions of small and medium-sized creatures.

Following the puppet through the camp, he arrived at the internal area in the camp’s depth.

Opening a seemingly ordinary, inconspicuous door, Jeming saw the appearance of the warehouse he rented.

Behind the door wasn’t the expected room but a spacious, independent, life-filled nurturing space!

It is fully equipped with various environment simulation facilities.

Temperature control system, nutritional supply system, Energy Cycle system... capable of raising different sizes and fulfilling various special living needs for creatures.

Jeming was amazed by this vast space, almost akin to an "artificial ecosystem":

"In just a short month, the camp has mastered the spatial rules of this nearby area? Such technological prowess is terrifying."

As for why Jeming assumed it was merely "nearby" spatial rules, it’s because this "Aerial Plane’s" inherent characteristics are placed here.

In such a vast Plane abundant in Wind Element, lacking a unified "Gravity source" as the core, the subtle spatial rules in different areas likely exhibit various differing disparities.

Placing all these chattering "Spider-Snake Monsters" here, then activating the internal array of the warehouse and those specialized Alchemy Puppets.

Jeming allocated a portion of his military merits to supplement with a large batch of high-concentration, high-energy nutritional feed.

This finally settled the "Spider-Snake Monsters" crucial for his future research.

After completing everything, Jeming couldn’t help but glance at the military merits on his terminal: "Renting this warehouse costs one hundred thousand merits for ten years, much more than buying the Spider-Snake Monsters themselves!"

"However... considering the mutated Spider Snake that uses Spatial Power, the upfront expenses are deemed worthwhile."

Jeming walked around the plaza several times but unfortunately couldn’t find the Witchcraft Artifact he needed.

Until the time drew near for the previously agreed meeting time with Jack, only then Jeming ceased from lingering and headed to the meeting place.
