Chapter 282: Chapter 251: Team Up

When Jeming finally returned to the enormous space rift connecting the "Ship Plane" and the "Aerial Plane," the scene before him had undergone a drastic change.

During his absence, the command had constructed a massive "Floating Camp" beneath the space rift, resembling a suspended island!

The entire camp is composed of solid black rocks, seemingly sourced directly from the Ship Plane.

Various wizard buildings have already been established, and the energy tower, alchemy workshop, and even the trade market have begun to take shape.

Numerous energy runes flicker around the edges of the camp, forming several solid defenses.

Jeming controlled his flight path and slowly landed in the Central Square of the Floating Camp.

He found it even more bustling than he had anticipated!

Besides the wizards returning from all directions, there were countless local creatures that these wizards had captured during their exploration.

Various oddly shaped creatures were being driven by powerful wizards using energy chains or soul contracts, continuously pouring in from all directions like cargo being delivered.

The camp then swallowed all the transported spoils, like an insatiable giant beast.

Upon landing, Jeming easily found the conspicuous "Affairs Center."

He stepped forward, registered on the terminal that he had accepted and would perform the mandatory task, and received a pile of signal markers the size of marbles, flickering with faint spatial fluctuations, from the nearby alchemy puppet.

After completing the preliminary steps of the mandatory task, Jeming didn’t leave immediately.

He planned to search in this newly established camp for something he urgently needed— an artifact that could stabilize the surrounding space or accurately mark his spatial position, to avoid the danger of "space turbulence."

As he wandered through the market, a familiar voice came from the side.

"Jeming junior? What a coincidence, you’re back too!"

Jeming turned to see that it was Jack senior.

"Jack senior, I didn’t expect to run into you, seems like I’m lucky..."

The two exchanged greetings happily.

After some small talk, noticing that Jeming seemed to be looking for something at various stalls, Jack couldn’t help but curiously ask:

"Jeming junior, it looks like you’ve been searching for something for a while now? If it’s not urgent, just tell me. I’ve helped with the construction here and am quite familiar with this place."

Jeming didn’t hide his intentions, frankly stating his purpose: "I’m looking for an artifact that can stabilize space or mark my spatial coordinates. This plane’s space is too unstable and quite dangerous."

When Jack heard Jeming’s request, he thought for a moment and then his eyes lit up: "Unfortunately, I don’t have an artifact, but Levin Mills—you might remember him, the only guy among us who has advanced to the Third Level—might be able to solve your problem."

"Levin Mills senior?" Jeming recalled the person he had seen before and was a bit puzzled, "If I’m not mistaken, that senior specializes in magic potions, right?"

"It seems you indeed remember him. Yes, he specializes in magic potions. Although Levin cannot create complex artifacts, he recently successfully created a very special magic potion using this world’s creatures."

"After using this potion, it greatly enhances the user’s perception power of wind elements and spatial power! While it won’t allow you to freely navigate through space turbulence and be completely immune to it, at least drinking the potion will enable the user to more easily sense those ’space distortions’ and thus avoid danger in advance."

"Moreover, according to Levin, the perception-enhancing effect of this potion is permanent! It will greatly aid you in your future studies and research in Spatial Studies!"

Jeming’s eyes lit up after hearing Jack’s introduction!

Is there such a good thing?

He eagerly inquired, "Jack senior, can this be sold to me?"

Jack laughed heartily: "That’s certainly not a problem. We originally planned to use it to exchange for some needed resources. However... not right now, as we’re out of raw materials. So you’ll have to wait for a while."

Seeing a hint of disappointment on Jeming’s face, Jack patiently explained to him: "The core material of this potion is something obtained from the high-pressure environment—highly condensed and extremely pure ’Wind Elemental Energy Body’. This thing is notoriously difficult to acquire, as you already know..."

Upon hearing this, Jeming sighed helplessly.

The Energy Body sounds common, but if it’s additionally tagged as highly condensed and extremely pure, then it means it will be difficult to find.

In this case, this magical potion might end up useless for him.

After all, the danger of spatial turbulence is ever-present.

Waiting for them to find new raw materials and configure them would take too long.

At this moment, Jack suddenly shifted the conversation, revealing his true purpose.

He looked at Jeming, his expression becoming slightly serious: "Jeming, would you like to join us on an urgent rescue mission?"

Before Jeming could ask, Jack quickly explained: "Our team previously took on a few urgent missions, one of which is ’rescuing lost wizards.’ We need to go to a marked area of ’spatial turbulence’ to rescue a few wizards lost within."

"But the twisted space inside that spatial turbulence is unexpectedly large, far beyond our initial estimates. So, we need more manpower to help in the search."

"Don’t worry, the task isn’t very dangerous. After entering, the main searchers are specifically modified reconnaissance cannon fodder. Wizards only need to control them from the outside. Moreover, our team has already found a stable entrance and exit to the spatial turbulence, and we can safely retreat at any time."

"If you’re willing to help us with this mission, besides the mission reward, I can also give you a bottle of that Magic Potion we’ve mentioned, which permanently enhances spatial perception!"

Jeming’s eyes lit up; this deal was quite tempting.

However, he was also a bit puzzled: "Is the space inside that twisted area really that large? If manpower is insufficient, can’t more reconnaissance cannon fodder be dispatched?"

Jack smiled wryly: "The range inside that twisted area is unimaginably large. Honestly, the number of cannon fodder each wizard in our team can control has already reached the limit of their Soul Contracts. That’s why we need to recruit more new wizards to deploy more cannon fodder, expanding the search area."

Jeming was instead more puzzled after hearing this. He had also seen that urgent task and felt that their input had exceeded the mission’s rewards.

"Are the wizards in there very important to you?"

Jack leaned mysteriously close to Jeming’s ear: "Those wizards aren’t important. What’s important are those spatial distortion nodes themselves. Although these ’spatial distortions’ are troublesome to handle, they generally contain a massive amount of high-value resources!"

"After all, forming such a stable ’spatial distortion’ means a large concentration of pure Elements. Over time, this massive Element gathering will surely give birth to various rare, high-value resources or creatures!"

"Including the Magic Potion’s raw materials, they were actually also obtained from another similar ’spatial distortion’ node."

After hearing Jack’s words, Jeming quickly weighed the pros and cons in his heart.

He didn’t hesitate much before agreeing to Jack’s proposal.

"Alright, if it’s really as you said, I might even have to thank you for giving me this opportunity."

After all, Jack’s proposal posed minimal risk to him but offered significant rewards.

Besides those resources and the Magic Potion, Jeming had another idea.

He wanted to follow these experienced "veterans" on their mission to learn.

See if he could accumulate some experience and knowledge on handling "spatial distortions" and such dangerous situations.

"Everyone gets what they need, and it’s always more reassuring to work with fellow academy wizards than outsiders." Jack smiled.

Thus, the two quickly finalized a time and place for their next meeting.

Afterward, Jack hurriedly bid farewell and left.

From his demeanor, he probably went to recruit more people.

After parting with the hurried Jack, Jeming didn’t immediately go back to rest; instead, he wandered around this bustling and vibrant temporary square.

After all, the Magic Potion only provided a passive "alert" method, which was at most an alternative.

If he could find a powerful Witchcraft Artifact capable of calming localized spatial turbulence during a crisis, that would be ideal.

On the square, there was a crowd, and the atmosphere was lively.

Apart from the various wizards selling their self-made Magic Potions, Witchcraft Artifacts, and other products at stalls, many others were selling various fresh biological materials or even rare living animals they obtained from this Plane.

After all, the official camp’s purchase price was a bit low, just a baseline.

If they could find suitable buyers here, selling to other wizards, they could earn a little more than the official purchase price.

While Jeming was weaving through the bizarre and colorful stalls, his gaze suddenly stopped on a creature caged at one stall.
