Crushing flags and claiming the Villainess-Chapter 165 - 164- Miracle
"Sir Austin, are these the comrades of the same demon who attacked back in Drenovar?"
Hearing the question from the butler, Austin was surprised, as he asked, "How did you know?"
"The amount of Demonic Beast was more that day as well, just like today." Sebastian made a wild guess.
Austin was impressed, as he said, "You are right. It was the same Demon. Well, the Demon General is dead so we just need to take down the remaining troops." With his tone dimming a little, he added, "Hopefully, without a leader, they must have turned disarray."
Sebastian asked, "Did Lady Valerie put down the General?"
Austin thought for a moment, before nodding, "Yeah." There was no point in saying something here that could even turn the most faithful, suspicious towards you.
Neither of them was unaware that the Demon General was an S-rank and someone who held years of experience. Even Valerie was having a hard time dealing with him the last time they fought.
And it was a fact that a battle head-on with that demon without any assistance would have been impossibly difficult. Despite his advancement to B-rank, the difference was still quite profound.
So in a way, Austin did the best thing in that situation by shooting him down.
"Why aren't you taking that potion?" Now that Austin noticed it, the butler hadn't taken the potion until now.
"It looks expensive and wasting it on someone like-"
"Again, with you belittling yourself. I already told you that you are my family member, Sebas. So stop thinking and gulp it down."
Those words made Sebastian stunned for a moment, and if not for the emergency, he might have frozen at his place.
The man behind the two, the King of Eryndor, smiled warmly upon hearing those words.
He glanced at his wife and found the edges of her lips slightly arched as well.
'Despite our negligence, you have grown up as a fine young man,' Cedric felt his chest swelling in pride.
Soon, the four of them reached the venue.
Austin wasn't surprised to see that the number of demonic beasts had dropped significantly.
They just needed someone who could be their pillar of hope. Someone who can lead them.
And looking at those huge ice glaciers, and hundreds of frozen bodies, Austin knew his woman became their hope.
"Sebastian, wait here with them. I will go and check on others."
Sebastian nodded and before Cedric could have said something, the blond Prince disappeared.
"In the past, I could have easily won a race against him..." The smiling King voiced.
....
Inside the venue, things were getting under control.
Austin came across several demonic humans who were killed or frozen.
It was apparent that Austin failed to realize when Zevarath penetrated the defenses and started influencing students.
The number of Demonic beasts he found dead was simply overwhelming. The horde he fought previously was like ten percent of this.

"Rudolph!" Austin shouted as he found the familiar black-haired guy huffing while standing over a dead wyvern.
His armour did nothing to protect or even cover his upper body and the boy seemed wounded from several spots.
Rudolph jumped from the beast before landing before him, "It's chaotic." He said. And when someone as chaos-loving as Rudolph seemed so tired and stressed, then that means that the situation was indeed quite overwhelming.
Austin patted his soldier, "But we survived."
Rudolph heaved a sigh, "Yeah...but not everyone was lucky." As he said, he looked at those students who fought rather than trying to run away but, unfortunately, couldn't survive.
Austin also felt sorrow seeing those many young ones meeting unfortunate and premature ends.
"Austin!" Suddenly, Rhea came rushing in their way, her face smeared with tears.
"What happened?" Austin asked as he held her arm, and stopped the girl before she could tripped with the momentum.
"President...she....please come with me."
The duo didn't delay a moment before dashing in the direction she led them.
Thankfully, all the monsters were dead, or they fled; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to reach their destination this quickly.
"Shit..." Austin muttered, uncharacteristically cursing despite his noble background as he took in the scene.
Rudolph's eyes widened, too, as they saw a gaping hole open in the President's stomach, and her belly completely caved in.
Her face was pale and the person was evidently in a bad condition.
"Please stay with me..." Sheldon, who usually retains his calm demeanor, sobbed as he held his lover's hand.
Any potion, any bandage they applied...nothing worked. It was impossible to save her now.
The demon that attacked her, injected a lethal poison and tore a huge chunk of her body.
If not for her status as an Awakened she would have died long ago.
Austin could feel her fading soul energy.
Every person has a tense expression on their face.
Austin looked at Valerie and found a frown of concern on her face.
...how can he forget that in the whole academy, the only friend Valerie made and someone who understands Valerie despite the latter's conservative nature, is the president.
Austin heaved a sigh, before telling them, "Form a ring around me and block me from plain sight." As he said he approached the President and knelt beside her.
Sheldon looked at the blond Prince, a very faint and flickering spark of hope ignited within him.
The others glanced at each other, unsure what this was about, when suddenly, Valerie commanded, "Just do what he says!"
They stiffened and instantly formed a ring.
Austin looked at Sheldon, who was still unmoving, before he said, "Trust me, Vice-president, I will save her."
The silver haired took a deep breath and gave a firm nod before he also stood up and covered Austin.
The blond Prince acted to insert his hand inside his jacket before he pulled out a vial from his [Inventory] which was filled with red potion.
"We tried every grade of pot-" Elara, who was about to roll her eyes at the fruitless attempt, stiffened when she felt killing intent from across her.
She took a strong gulp and decided to remain silent.
Austin took a deep breath and uncapped the vial before tilting Annabelle's head slightly.
"Drink this, prez." He faintly whispered before he began to pour the content into her mouth.
It was the same elixir he used to save the former king of Drenovar.
He still had five, so he decided to use it to save his wife's friend.
Nothing was allowed to make his Valerie sad.
Annabelle had enough strength to only move her throat and intake the potion.
Just as the first gulp passed down, the wound on her belly glowed with bright red illumination.
The darkness from her veins slowly receded and her complexion slowly improved.
Before everyone's eyes, Austin pulled a miracle that day.
