Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil-Chapter 320: That Was...
"Dilinger!"
Everyone shouted.
The skeleton could belong to anyone and even the black uniform could belong to any Abyssal Butcher as well, but considering what Kony said to Fozier that Dilinger had gone to meet the General and now that they found a dead body in the General's mansion, no detective was needed to know that the skeleton belonged to none other than Dilinger.
The soldiers came towards the skeleton and they picked it up. It had no hands and legs.
Fozier looked around the room and his eyes fell on the bones of hands and legs lying separately from the body. They also came from inside the container though.
Fozier then looked at the dead body of the General.
"Why is he naked?" He asked.
"I am sure you know what happens in this room, Marshal. So it's not surprising to see him naked." One soldier answered.
"Examine every inch of his body. I don't think this man could kill Dilinger. He was an Abyssal Butcher. He won't die by the hands of some General."
Fozier ordered and a soldier began to examine the General's body.
"You made sure to do everything I told you, right?" Pablo asked.
Draxus nodded. "You told me to put the match box inside General's pocket but he was naked so I placed it near his hands."
"Let's hope Fozier moves on with this death."
Pablo and Draxus watched the next scenes and the soldier also finished examining everything.
"He has oil on his hands, his genitals are cut off, his stomach has a clean cut, he is covered with his own insides, his finger tips have some wood engraved on them and this match box was beside him."
The soldier finished telling everything.
Fozier stayed silent for a while. He stared at the match box.
"This is just too convenient. The matchbox was placed there, oil in his hands, wood in his fingertips. It's like someone wanted us to think this General killed Dilinger."
"He is smart." Pablo remarked.
All the soldiers agreed with their Marshal's theory as well.
Fozier looked at the floor.
"This big container must be heavy. But there are no marks of it being dragged to this room. Was it here in this room from the start? But what use does this container have in this room where only sex happens?"
"They both have some fetishes of their own. Maybe they wanted to boil a girl?" One soldier said.
"Or this General must be having fun with a woman whom only Dilinger wanted for himself so Dilinger cut the General's organ and in return the general threw Dilinger inside the oil." One more soldier speculated.
Fozier heard more soldiers and all of them have different theories. But the conclusion of all their theories came to Dilinger and General killing each other.
"Hmm. What if.." Fozier stared at the cut on the General's stomach. "A third party was involved altogether. And they left this crime scene like this so that we arrive at a conclusion that they wanted."
"But who would dare to attack an Abyssal Butcher much less kill them?" Kony asked.
Fozier looked at him. "Another Abyssal Butcher."
One more soldier added : "Or a Marshal."
Fozier nodded. "Yes. It could be a Marshal too. But who? There are ten Marshals including me. I didn't kill Dilinger. So that only leaves nine. And those who are a Marshal for a long time had no problem with any soldiers. So that leaves the three new Marshals who joined recently."
"He is getting there." Pablo said.
"I have nothing to say, czar."
Pablo's heart picked up pace. He didn't want to fight these people. He would manage even if a fight came up but he would certainly like to avoid that.
"The three new Marshals. Graham, Diablo and Pablo. Who could do such a thing?" Kony asked out loud.
"Anyone. But if I have to think," Fozier spoke. "Diablo and Graham have been a part of the military for years now. But Pablo.. he just joined recently. What if.."
STEP!
STEP!
Steps rang in the mansion.
Everyone stopped talking and looked at the door of the red room.
A few seconds later, a person arrived.
He was clad in a red robe and everyone knew who he was.
"What's the King doing here?" Fozier asked.
It was the King of Forza. Damascus Maverick for the world but Jamal Fuhrer for Pablo.
"Great timing." Pablo commented.
The King stepped inside the room. He looked serious as he shot a glare at Fozier.
"What do you think you all are doing?"
Fozier frowned. "What happened?"
"I am planning to wage a war and you are playing detective here?"
Fozier smiled. "One of my soldiers died, your highness. I have the right to play detective. But what are you doing here?"
"I got the news of what happened. The death of an Abyssal Butcher is not a meager thing. I came to see here personally. But I didn't expect it to be one of your soldiers."
"Yes. Can you believe it? Someone had the guts to go after my kids." Fozier laughed. He was serious a few moments ago but now he was smiling and laughing.
"Don't be ridiculous. Can't you see what happened here? I know what this room is all about. Two lustful men killed each other over a woman. That's what happened here. Now forget his death and move on." The King ordered.
"I think this is not the case here. Someone else killed these two people. I will make sure to find who did this, your highness. You can go back to your castle and rest."
The King stepped forward. He stood just in front of Fozier's face.
"I am the King and a war is near. I can't have you doing all this. Find a new soldier, and go back to training. I won't say it again."
"What if I refuse?" Fozier wasn't giving up.
The Abyssal Butchers were answerable to the King but the division was filled with outcasts and degenerates. No way they would succumb to any orders right away.
The King sighed.
"Boulder!"
THUMP!
The roof broke.
The red room trembled as from nowhere, a bulking man arrived.
"Called me, my lord?"
It was none other than the High Duke Boulder.
Fozier was now between the King and Boulder but there wasn't any ounce of fear on the Marshal's face.
"Is this your way of threatening me?" Fozier asked the King.
The King smiled. He glanced at Boulder.
"If this Marshal doesn't listen to me, kill."
"Sure." Boulder cracked his fists. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
Fozier laughed. "You believe in your bodyguards too much, your highness. I am capable of even killing a full fledged Demon. What can this guy do to me?"
Hearing that, Draxus jerked his head at Pablo. "He can kill a Demon?"
"Yes. The Admiral said it herself." Pablo replied.
Draxus gave an appreciative nod and watched Fozier with a new outlook.
Fozier was confident in defeating Boulder but the King only smiled.
"You didn't hear my order properly."
Fozier raised one of his brows. "What?"
"My words to Boulder were, 'if he doesn't listen to my orders then kill.' I never ordered my high duke to kill you, Marshal."
"Then…" Fozier instantly looked at Boulder.
Boulder smirked and waved his hands.
That's all it took for Boulder to grab three soldiers on his either hand.
The high duke captured six soldiers of Fozier by their neck like it was nothing.
The Marshal flared his nose. "Let them go, bodyguard. I will kill you."
Boulder smiled wider. "Attack me and you will lose six more soldiers today."
Fozier glared at the King.
"Since when did you become like this? You were so restrained before."
The King shrugged. "Maybe I changed my company."
Pablo smiled hearing that.
"Did you come up with this idea, czar? Threatening Fozier with the use of his soldiers?"
"No. That old man thought of this himself. I only told him to handle it. And he came up with something good."
"He is learning your ways, I think."
"He is still far from that. But it's a good start."
Fozier gritted his teeth.
"Fine. I am going. But I won't give up on this case. Let's go."
Fozier ordered his soldiers.
The King also told Boulder to let go of the six Abyssal Butchers.
Fozier made a soldier carry the skeleton of Dilinger and with one last glare at the King, he finally left the red room.
The soldiers also went with him and now only the King and Boulder were in the room.
"You go back, Boulder. I will manage from here." The King said.
Boulder tried to stay but the King argued and in the end, the bodyguard had to give up.
He jumped out of the roof, from the same hole he created just a few seconds ago and like that, only the King was left inside.
"Um, Pablo, are you here?" The King asked, looking around the room.
Draxus' shadow came inside the room and from the spot in front of the King, Pablo made his appearance.
The King jolted by the sudden manifestation.
Pablo smiled. "That was go-"
But the King interrupted him and said something that Pablo didn't expect to hear from the old man.
"That was fucking awesome."
