Chapter 609: Chapter 318: Still Not Pregnant 1

Rebecca Quentin shook her head.

"Your face looked bad after talking with him. I don’t believe he was just catching up with you."

"He didn’t say much, just reminded me that there might be other factors allowing me to be with Howard Geoffrey."

Christine Quinn frowned in confusion, "What does he mean by that?"

"He said that in Howard Geoffrey’s world, it’s all about winning or losing, and for that, he would sacrifice his own feelings."

Christine Quinn was furious, "This guy is trying to stir up trouble between you and Howard Geoffrey, that’s too much!"

Rebecca Quentin remained silent.

"If I’d known he was talking to you about this, I would have never let you continue the conversation."

Rebecca Quentin turned to look at Christine Quinn’s angry face, and smiled softly, "Why such a big reaction? He reminded me, whether or not it’s out of goodwill as he claims, if I don’t take it to heart, then it holds no influence."

"Hey, how come you seem to have reservations about Chester Robinson’s character all of a sudden? You weren’t like this before; you always trusted him."

Rebecca Quentin sighed lightly, "I only recently discovered that Chester Robinson has a very unfamiliar identity for me. Of course, I discovered this inadvertently, but it’s not impossible that he intended for me to see it. After all, revealing this identity would make me realize he has silently done a lot for me... But, it also makes me feel that I don’t know him as well as I thought. My understanding of him is only as a doctor, but maybe he has other identities beyond what I knew. I feel quite fearful."

Christine Quinn said, "I’m used to seeing Chester Robinson in his usual white doctor’s attire. Today, seeing him in a suit was shocking. The feeling I got every time I looked at him was like the first time I saw Howard Geoffrey. There was intense arrogance and conceit in his eyes. I feel that he is not ordinary... Rebecca, perhaps you should indeed be careful."

Rebecca Quentin nodded, "I won’t meet him alone again. Of course, I will always remember everything he has done to help me. If one day I can confirm that he is still the ’Doctor Robinson’ I knew, I will continue to consider him my best friend."

"Hmm, you and Howard Geoffrey have come this far with difficulty. You must trust Howard Geoffrey."

"I will."

Christine Quinn patted Rebecca Quentin on the head, "So should I hide from Howard Geoffrey that you met Chester Robinson?"

Rebecca Quentin smiled and said, "Considering that last time Howard Geoffrey was a bit upset because I met Chester Robinson, do you think I can hide my whereabouts from him now?"

Christine Quinn pursed her lips and let out a laugh, "That does seem like something your husband would do."

When Rebecca Quentin and Christine Quinn had just returned home, Isabella Joanna came up to them.

"Where did you go?"

Isabella Joanna asked, pretending to be stern.

Rebecca Quentin replied while linking arms with Isabella Joanna, "I told you, we went downtown to shop."

Isabella Joanna pouted, "Didn’t even take me."

Rebecca Quentin teased, "You and General Leonard were so lovey-dovey in the room, I didn’t want to disturb you."

Isabella Joanna pretended to roll up her sleeves, "Oh, you dare tease me. Don’t forget that year when you married Howard Geoffrey as a pure bride, I was the one who taught you how to please him... Do you think with your little tricks you can make me blush? Looking for a fight..."

Christine Quinn stepped in between them, amused by their banter, and pretended to mediate, "Stop it... If you hurt Rebecca, what if Howard Geoffrey seeks you out to settle the score?"

Isabella Joanna burst into laughter.

Rebecca Quentin, however, blushed from Christine Quinn’s teasing.

After laughing, Christine Quinn seriously asked Isabella Joanna, "By the way, has Howard Geoffrey returned?"

Isabella Joanna nodded, "He has."

Christine Quinn curiously asked, "He didn’t look for Rebecca?"

"No, once he got back, Andrew clung to him. I was curious why he didn’t immediately look for Rebecca like he usually does!"

Christine Quinn admired and looked at Rebecca Quentin, "It seems you truly understand him!"

Rebecca Quentin bashfully said, "Alright, I’ll go find him. You two chat."

After asking the maid, she learned that Howard Geoffrey was playing with Andrew in the children’s room, so Rebecca Quentin headed there.

She gently knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside, so she turned the door handle.

As soon as she entered, she heard a "shh" sound by her ear.

Rebecca Quentin immediately moved quietly and saw Howard Geoffrey leaning against the headboard of Andrew’s narrow child’s bed, seemingly lulling Andrew to sleep.
