After Laura Quincy’s plane landed, she checked her watch. There was still half an hour before Little Kim’s arrival, so she sat down and re-read her emails. Among them were quite a few chat records with Little Kim.

It wasn’t hard to tell from the chats that Little Kim was a lively and cheerful girl, a year younger than Laura, hence she called her Ms. Quincy.

Laura immediately understood, "Looks like Xavier has become a well-known lawyer now!"

Jonah Xavier became more certain of his suspicion. What was going on with Laura? Why did she seem to have forgotten many things...

Another female voice, but this time Laura didn’t have to guess. It must be her colleague, Little Kim. She turned around cheerfully to greet her, "You’re here!"

Laura coughed lightly, "Just a high school classmate."

Little Kim immediately said, "Wow! Ms. Quincy, I find that you’re surrounded by many quality guys, introduce them to me!"

Laura was just about to tactfully decline when Mr. King said, "Miss Quincy, are you going to turn me down? Though it’s a bikini party tomorrow afternoon, our real aim is to discuss business. I’ve invited many friends from Port Sovereign’s political and business circles. I’m sure your company will be interested."

Laura was momentarily speechless. Mr. King really was good at reading people’s thoughts. By specifying that the real purpose was business, he made it clear they had to go.

"Thank you, Mr. King, for the kind invitation. We’ll definitely attend tomorrow evening."

"See you tomorrow evening then."

After seeing Mr. King off, Laura took a deep breath. She thought this business trip to Port Sovereign would be relaxing, yet now she had to attend a bikini party.

Little Kim pouted, "Ms. Quincy, Mr. King really is a pain. He initially agreed but then threw this dilemma at us."

Laura sighed, "Well, he’s our major client after all. Offending him is not an option, so we have no choice."

Laura brushed her bangs aside, "If I use that as an excuse, I’m afraid the deal won’t go through."

Little Kim got it instantly. Since Laura had already been out working without a fuss, saying she didn’t want to face too many people now would be contradicting herself.

The bikini party tomorrow night was inevitable indeed!

The King Family is one of the prestigious families in Port Sovereign. Their villa covers a vast area. The front yard has many exotic flowers and plants, and the backyard is equipped with a large swimming pool where the party would be held tonight.
