Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 47: The dinner - I
Evelyn had never gotten dressed in such a hurry. She hurriedly wiped her face with the wet towel and then washed her hands. With wet hands she patted her hair trying to tame away the flyaways before walking out of the room and sleeping on good sandals.
She walked downstairs and sat on the opposite side to the glass wall overlooking the city. It was obvious that the don would take a seat at the head of the table so she sat to his left.
The silverware was laid out for two people, which meant that the don was definitely coming, so Evelyn kept her elbows on the table, entangled her fingers and placed her chin over them. She waited.

Salvatore clicked his tongue in annoyance to renew the shipment that had been brought. He often came around the shipment warehouses and tried on random products and this shit has turned out to be faulty.
That was not something he paid for. He did not pay for faulty shit and he was not tolerating any deceit.
Having the guns tested was the best thing that Salvatore had come up with as he realised what could have happened with his own men. That fuckery was something he never tolerated. His men were never to be hurted without a cause.
He huffed and walked out of the room. Theo, the man in charge of the shipment, stood there with a stony face understanding what happened and the consequences of it. "Shall I call them?"
Salvatore did not even look at him but nodded before walking out of the room.
He was angry here. He was fucking furious.
He did not like to be cheated on and these people had an exactly that.
He stopped in the middle of the way before turning around and walking back to Theo.
Theo straightened up when he saw the boss and Salvatore gritted out the words, "Now, you call them now."
"Now?" Theo repeated, slightly surprised. "It’s almost time for—’
"I don’t care what it’s time for!" He spat. "They come when I want them to come."
And they arrived as the young Don wanted. No one could say no to the Don if they were conducting business with him and especially if the don had called them after receiving shipment.
"Don," Dario nodded in respect, "what can we help you with?"
Salvatore stared at him with a clench of his jaw. His eyes never left the man. He was angry.
"Come along," he said as he stood up and walked out of the door. Dario followed closely behind. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Salvatore opened the familiar door for Dario and just told him to go inside first. After Dario went in, Salvatore stepped inside the room and switched on the lights. The shipment was started around the room but the box is very close. Only one box was opened that Salvatore has chosen at random and he pointed to the same gun that one of Dario’s men had used.
"Use it," Salvatore said as he pointed at the gun.
Dario picked it up and aimed at the glass bottle inside the room that was kept on a table. His finger brushed over the trigger and within a second he pulled it but rather than having a bullet escape it, the gun exploded.
"Ah, fuck!" The gun exploded in Dario’s hands making him yell in pain. His hand was in no better shape certainly not the one that had come into the room with.
"Fuck!" Dario roared, clutching his raised as his hand bled. Two fingers had gone completely. One finger was blown half a way and from when he could actually see the bone.
Salvatore chuckled as the family feeling of nothingness washed over him. The man deserved it. After all, the man had tried to cheat the don.
"Dario," Salvatore draw out the name as he neared the crying man, "I don’t care if it was just one faulty shit in the whole shipment but next time test every shit you send my way otherwise that," he glanced at Dario’s hand, "is how your family is going to be."
Salvatore slapped his back family and walked out of the room. Many guards came in his way but he did not bothered to tell any of them to tend to the man inside. He could die for all he cared.
By the time he walked out of the warehouse his driver had already pulled up the car and his door was opened by one of the soldiers.
The moment his door close to the car drove off into the city where is penthouse was. Salvatore silently watched as numerous cars and people passed by. He sighed and closed his eyes. "Evelyn?" He asked.
"She has been given the passcode to the penthouse, sir. Her bags have been dropped off and madam was shifting her clothes into the closet." Julian who was sitting in the passenger seat answered dutifully.
"The maid?" He wanted the maid to help Evelyn.
Julian replied, "the madam wanted to do it herself. She refused to have the maid help her."
Salvatore’s eyes opened slightly and he looked at the rear view mirror. Julian’s eyes met his. "You will be Evelyn’s driver and bodyguard. I do not care where she goes you keep an eye on her. Understand?"
Juilan nodded. "Yes, sir."
Salvatore turned his eyes to the world outside and soon the familiar penthouse buildings arrived. Once the car stop he did not wait for the driver to open his door. Slamming the door shut, he moved inside as The Watchmen order to him.
The worker in the left press the penthouse suite for him and Salvatore feeded in the passcode before moving inside and what he so slightly surprised him. He checked the time and it was ten minutes past eight. Surely this was the time that his parents had dinner at their house. So Evelyn should have been there, then why was just the cutlery laid out for just one?
