Chapter 236: Sexually frustrated - III

At the moment she might agree on the fact that she had taken it too far. The furious expression with which she had stormed inside her room died down eventually and came back the emotionless salvatore who stared at her with his arms folded in front of his chest. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Uh.." she hesistated, "I.. Uh—"

"Mummy!" The scream froze the couple for a moment before they snapped into action. Salvatore darted across the room and outside only to be met by a small body that around itself into his legs and then hug them close.

Evelyn followed him out quickly after she had gotten dressed badly and was still scrambling to get the buttons done.

"Arabella?" Evelyn questioned before bending down to her daughter’s height. "What is the matter, darling?"

Arabella, Who had found her hiding spot in her father’s knee’s , looked away and towards her mother before she squeezed her cheek against his leg. "I’m scared." She revealed in a small voice. "I think I heard loud thunder."

"but it’s not raining," Salvatore noticed and hushed into the direction of Evelyn.

"The door slamming," Evelyn answered in the same voice, "she was afraid of that."

In the midst to have the best time of her life, she had scared her daughter.

"Come here, baby," Evelyn held her daughter close before picking her up and holding her close to her chest. "I’ll put you to bed and make sure that no noise disturbs you, okay?"

Still sleepy, Arabella leaned against her mother’s shoulder and nodded into it before she cuddled close. Evelyn gave a small nod to Salvatore and then walked away with her daughter and her arms.

Since her little baby was already sleepy, Arabella returned to sleep The moment Evelyn put her to bed. She snuggled into the blanket finding the source of warmth, taking in the comfort as her mother slowly caressed her hair.

Looking at her child and the wait eyelashes, evelyn realised how scared Arabella must’ve felt.

The guilt weighed heavier knowing that she had been responsible for this reaction from her daughter. She had caused fear in the mind of a little child.

Slowly she stood up and walked out of the room of a child but not before leaving

the door opened an inch.

Salvatore was right where she had left him and she could see the concern in his eyes for the little baby that had come crying to them.

"She’s asleep now." Evelyn informed him before she lowered her eyes and they caught the sight of the broken door on the ground.

"Sleep in the room you were previously given tonight." He clicked his tongue in irritation. " I will make sure to open the doors first thing in the morning. Until then I do not want you sleeping without a door."

That was all he said before he sidestepped her and walked away.

Not in the way to turn around and watch him leave once More, Evelyn stayed at the broken door before she walked inside the room to pick up her phone and charger only to go back to the one she had been previously assigned.

Making sure that the door was locked shut, Evelyn made her way to the bed it was about to put the phone on charge but it Pinged and her attention was on it.

’Hey! I hope you remember me. I had your number from someone we know.’

That was all that was written in the message and this person could not be anymore vague.

Evelyn thought of typing a reply but this could be a scammer or anyone she did not know which is why she left it alone. Evelyn was about to put her phone on charge once again and when it again pinged.

’This is Matt. Remember?’

Matt, yes, she remembered matt.

A small smile came to her face and she replied, ’I do remember you but who gave you my number?’

She would need to have a serious talk with whoever forwarded her number without her permission.

’Yes, Sarah did, but do not take it out on her. I might have bothered her a little too much for it.’

Evelyn would but it was fine for now. She could not really call Sarah in the middle of the night and yell at her.

Her phone pinged again.

’So, I was wondering if you want to catch up. I heard about your father’s death. Are you alright?’

She read over the contents of the message again to make sure that she was with them right. How long has it been since her father’s death?

His death was going to reach the three year anniversary soon and fortunately it had been the last thing on her mind especially since she had been in a different continent but now that she was here, Evelyn knew she would have to honour her father by going to his grave.

Which was going to be tough, extremely tough.

For a moment she went it is she should open up to a man she once considered a friend years ago but was sent away by her father. But her father was no longer there and Matt was. He was one friend that could serve as a link between the past and the present. He could service a shoulder that she could lean on.

’Good but not exactly,’ she typed, ’I have moved forward with life but in the back of my mind is the guilt of doing so. His death anniversary is coming soon too.’

Her finger hovered over the word send and she thought for a quick second before hitting it.

Matt could judge her all he wanted and since she was most probably never going to meet him again it was fine.

’I am still in shock too. I would have never thought of your father dying so soon. I am here if you want to talk about anything.’

The offer was tempting. Too tempting if she was honest.

This might be the only person she could talk to. Someone that she could share the memories of her father who was more professional than loving and who could possibly he tell anything to?

If he did, then Salvatore would take care of it.

Evelyn smiled before her hands began to type an answer. Finally, she could talk to someone.
