Chapter 226: The breakfast - I

Eventually, their breathing turned normal and they just stared at each other. Evelyn expected Salvatore to say something, anything at this point but he kept on staring at her. Was waiting for her to say something?

She opened her mouth—

"I will sleep in some other room." He declared and stepped back. "Excuse me."

"Why?" She blurted out in shock. It was his room and it was his house so there was no reason for him to sleep outside of the room that but then again he could sleep in any room because everything belonged to him.

Not forgetting to mention that he was the one who had brought her here to night. She had been perfectly content to sleep somewhere else.

Salvatore exhaled a long breath before he replied, "because I will hurt you."

Her small smile vanished. "What?"

He nodded. "I am still pissed that you left me I have never taken Revenge about their and that is in my bones, Evelyn."

Salvatore leaned in and stopped only an inch away from her face before he grabbed her throat. "I want to ruin you for running away from me."

He tightened his hold over her neck, "do you understand what is that is going to give it to you?"

She nodded her head as much as she could in the given predicament she was in. Having his hand over her throat is not care for any kind of security especially after he said that he wanted to ruin her, hurt her.

"Good," he didn’t leave her neck, "Remenber that. You are walking on eggshells near me."

Without giving her a chance to say anything, sab tightened around and left the room, closing the door on his way out and leaving her alone.

For moments, Evelyn kept on staring at the door hoping that he would come back even though she did not know why. She just did.

But he did not come back.

"Mummy!"

"Ma’am?" A knock came on her door, "please open the door. It’s an em—’

Her eyes snapped open at the intrusion and she jumped out of the bed and ran towards the door.

The word emergency was enough to get her mother instincts go haywire.

Evelyn ripped open the door only to come face to face with her crying daughter. "Arabella?"

She took in the sight of last tears coming out of her bright Blue eyes and snot running down her lips that has clearly been wiped away numerous Times.

"Mummy..’ she cried and sniffed loudly before she reached out with her hands towards Evelyn, who immediately to the little body in her arms and hugged her close.

Instead of asking immediately what happened, she patted her daughter’s back lightly and bounced her up and down very likely.

She did not have to ask arabella why she was behaving like this. It was obvious that the child was not secure which is why she had seeked her mother first.

"It’s alright baby," she kissed her baby’s head, "mama is right here."

"But you went away.." Arabella complaint in between of crying, "you were not there.."

Of course, she was not.

Arabella had gotten used to the fact that her mother and she slept in the same room. So whenever she would wake up or look over, Evelyn would be there.

However, it was not the same case here.

Evelyn was in a different room and probably in a different whole way as well. She would have to take to Salvatore about sharing a room with her daughter or at least have in her next door.

"I am sorry baba," Evelyn kissed her again. "I will take care of it, I promise."

After sometime, with some constantly reassurances and bouncing, arabella had finally comes down enough that they could go down to breakfast.

"What do you want?’ she settled arabella on the counter. "Since mamma was not present today and it scared you, we could do choco chip pancakes?"

She was replied with eager nod of the head and they both set out doing it.

Once again there was flour all over the counter, utensils more dirty than used and chocolate chips consumed more than they were put on the pancakes.

At the end, they had a whole plate ready with uneven looking pancakes filled with extra choco chips because they prefer it that way.

"Mummy, who is going to eat that much?"

Evelyn grinned and pointed to her—

"I suppose we could help!’ Dante entered the room with a bright smile on his face and Michelle trailed behind him.

"Have I ever told you that I love eating chocolate chip pancakes made by the most wonderful chefs?"

Evelyn smiled at his compliment but it not let go of a daughter who immediately shied away at the entrance of a strange man.

She inched closer towards her daughter and pointed at Dante, "he is your uncle. His name is Dante."

"Dante?" Arabella frowned. "What kind of name is that?"

"A beautiful name for a beautiful man." Dante answered as he flickered his non-existent long hair over his shoulder.

Her daughter giggled but did not remove her eyes away from the man. She was intrigued but she was careful.

"Let me help," Michelle stepped forward and kept his stare at arabella. He moved slowly as a fun or trying to alarm the child and took a hold of the plate before leaving the kitchen with it.

"Mummy," Arabella whispered and gestured for her mother to lean down, "he just stole our pancakes."

"Hah!" Dante cackled lovely making the two ladies in the room jump. "Don’t you worry, kid. I’ll bring your pancakes and keep them safe for you." He winked before he followed the same way out as Michelle did.

Only after he was gone did she look at her daughter with again. "Do you want to eat with them?"

Arabelle pursued her lips forward before she looked up, "you?"

"I’ll be there."

Arabella smiled, "okay then. Up?" She raised her hands up and made grabby hands only to be picked up by her mother.

They were going to have breakfast with two more people.
