CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 2006 - 2014: Not Fast at All
During the application of the ointment, Jane Sampson woke up, suppressing her voice and crying out in pain several times. Eventually, she even wanted to avoid it and didn’t want the ointment anymore. "Hold on a bit longer." James Black pressed her wrist without wounds with his knee to prevent her from dodging, making his movements gentler and coaxing softly, "It’ll be over soon, just hold on a bit longer. Once it’s done, it won’t hurt anymore. The medicine will help the wound heal faster."
Jane Sampson’s pain brought her to tears, and she looked at James Black, teary-eyed and pitiful, pouting, not believing at all in James Black’s words that it would be over soon.
She knew how many cuts were on her arm, so how could it possibly heal so quickly?
James Black is just a liar.
A big liar.
After applying the ointment, James Black’s forehead was covered in sweat.
It would still take more than twenty minutes before it was done.
He knew Jane Sampson had glared at him several times with a "woo woo," but he could only pretend he hadn’t seen.
"It’s really done." James Black put the half-used ointment to the side, "Every morning and evening, so I’ll apply it again for you before sleep tonight."
"Not fast at all." Jane Sampson’s voice was muffled as she retorted to James Black, and then suddenly followed up with a sentence, "That mute has a wicked heart."
"Hmm." James Black responded, if someone’s heart weren’t wicked, they wouldn’t be living in this villa.
"She deserves to be mute." Jane Sampson could only distract herself in this way, trying as much as possible to ignore the burning pain that came with the application of the medicine on her wound.
Sometimes, pain can really make a person’s temper flare and become very agitated and anxious.
"Uh." James Black was dressing her; Jane Sampson found her own way to divert her attention, and he was happy to echo her venting with curses.
Jane Sampson muttered in a small voice for a long time, cursing that mute woman and that young man until James Black helped her change clothes and covered her with the quilt again before she stopped.
She then sighed, reached out to tug on James Black’s hem, and looked at him with a somewhat pitiful tone, saying, "I’m thirsty and hungry~"
Since being kidnapped until now, the most she had eaten was water with additives. Besides water, in her few awake moments, she had only gotten a steamed bun or an egg, which was like having eaten nothing at all.
It was because she had been sleeping continuously, these few days, that she wasn’t tormented by hunger.
"By the way, what’s that man’s name? He impersonated a security guard at the film set and pretended to be a hotel staff member. I wonder how Mr. Carter and the others are doing, and as for Grid, he’s one of the two bodyguards sent by auntie, his foot was run over by a car."
While rubbing her belly, Jane Sampson asked James Black about the situation outside, "Before I fainted, he wanted to shoot Mr. Carter, I don’t know what happened later."
"If there’s no news of anything happening to James Carter, then there shouldn’t be any issues." James Black said, "As for that bodyguard, he probably didn’t die either."
With that, James Black stood up, "I’ll call for the mute aunt to make you some easily digestible porridge and pour you a cup of warm boiled water." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Jane Sampson nodded, and as James Black got up, her gaze closely followed him, watching as he stood at the house entrance calling for someone, and she breathed a sigh of relief. She couldn’t restrain the anxiety and panic that surged in her heart as soon as James Black was out of sight.
The mute aunt couldn’t speak, so Jane Sampson had no idea how she responded to James Black, but seeing that James Black didn’t intend to go downstairs, Jane Sampson thought to herself, as long as he doesn’t go downstairs, she’s willing to endure hunger and thirst.
