CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 306: [Bonus - ] I’ll Be Your Man

The day for Henry’s proposal to be presented has arrived and the Welsh couple, even though on vacation worked side by side to make sure that Ash will agree this time around. More often Henry and Rei are the ones drafting the proposal while Amy spends most of her time with Jayson and Jena.

"Auntie Amy, can I ask you a question?" Jayson inquired while holding his basketball, heading towards Amy who was seating on the garden bench.

Amy gestured for Jayson to sit beside her, it was right after breakfast and she accompanied the children in the garden before starting Jena’s homeschool and Jayson’s home therapy.

"What is it, sweetheart?" Amy asked softly, wrapping one of her arms around Jayson’s waist.

"I heard from one of the maids that you and Uncle Henry are married already. I thought Uncle Henry said I will go with you on your wedding day?" Jayson asked while pouting.

Amy smiled almost giggling at how perceptive Jayson can be, "It is really not a wedding, darling. We just signed some papers so we can get back Grandpa’s land. The wedding will happen once we get back to our country with you and Jena."

Amy intentionally made her explanation short and simple to make sure Jayson will not be confused anymore, they already expected something like this will happen since everybody knows that they are already married and there was no stopping people from talking about it even if they told the workers to keep quiet about it.

Jayson looked at Amy and tilted his head before asking, "Are you sure?"

Amy chuckled at how Jayson squinted his eyes while he was asking her. She just can’t get enough of the cuteness of her nephew and niece. "Yes, I am sure. In fact, I would like to ask you if you can walk me down the aisle since you are the man in Bell’s household now."

Jayson immediately grin and hugged Amy, "Okay, I’ll be your man. I will walk you," Jayson said before storming off to go to Jena who was playing on the swing with their Grandma Alice.

Afterward, Amy returned to the mansion and headed to the study room where Henry was located, as today marked their scheduled video call meeting with Ash. To her surprise, she found Henry and Rei immersed in their work, meticulously reviewing document after document.

"Why are you still busy reviewing that? I thought we had finalized it last night?" Amy asked Henry.

Henry shifted his gaze at her and smiled, "We did, love. I just want to double-check if we did not miss something. Come, sit with me, he will be online soon," Henry then gestured to where he wanted her to sit.

And in no time Henry’s laptop rang and Ash’s profile appeared. And to Amy’s delight, it was not only Ash’s face that popped up on the screen but Ava’s as well.

"Ava! Sorry to disturb you, during lunchtime," Amy said.

"No, no, it’s nothing really, he went here to the office to meet me at lunch and also do to the video call here so that we are sure that no one is spying," Ava said while waving both hands.

"Wait! What’s that?!" Amy uttered in a very loud high-pitched voice almost shouting.

It was Ash who answered her question, "There were people spying–" but he was not able to finish for Amy immediately cut him off.

"Nooo! That..." Amy pointed to Ava’s hand that was on Ash’s shoulder since she was standing and Ash was sitting on the office chair. Ava was only there because she set up the video call on the company’s laptop and will accompany Ash until he gets connected to the Welsh couple.

"Oh!" Ava panicked a bit she forgot to remove it since she has no plan to wear it in the office and whenever she is not with Ash. And Ash agreed with her decision just until she get used to the idea.

"Ava! Are you not telling me something? Are my congratulations required?" Amy teased.

Ava hid her hand that Amy pointed out on her back while her other hand tucked her tresses behind her ear, "Oh, well. You see–"

Amy was getting impatient, Ava is not answering her questions clearly so she butted in again, "Are you two..."

Last Sunday night in Ash’s penthouse...

"I think I am in love with you already... I love you, Ava," Ash said while they were hugging and still connected to each other.

Ava straightened up her back and looked at Ash, "What are you saying? I know that you are trying your best to move on from Amy, but you are now saying that you love me. Isn’t that too fast, don’t you think?"

Ash smirked and put his hand on her cheek, "I knew you would say that. And I can’t believe myself too. But this is real, Ava. My feelings for you are real. I don’t know how to explain it but whenever I am not with you at night, I can’t sleep. And at work, it is you that I am always thinking of. And when I finally get to be with you, I am at my happiest.

Everything you do is funny to me and makes me laugh. I always want to make you happy and give you everything that have and everything that I can. And when we part ways again at the end of the day, my heart aches, it never wants to say goodbye. If that is not love Ava, I don’t know what it is." Ash said while intensely looking straight into her eyes.

Ash’s piercing gaze made Ava gulp. Her heart skipped a beat with what she had heard and she can feel how sincere each of his words are. She knows because it is the same feeling that is flowing throughout her body ever since the day she met Ash.

She liked him the first time she saw him but because of his involvement with Amy, she tried very hard to forget him. It was definitely love at first sight but she doesn’t believe in such things so for the longest time she tried to deny what she feels for him and thought that it was just an infatuation.

But now that Ash voiced out the same feeling that she felt before and up to now, she can no longer deny that she loves him as well. Her eyes welled up but she blinked that away and hugged him instead.

"I believe you, Ash. I believe you..." she said.

"Really? You changed your mind that fast huh?" Ash jested trying to make her laugh for he saw how her eyes glistened for a while before she hugged him.

"Yes, because I feel the same Ash, I just don’t like you. I love you," Ava said with teary eyes.

"I know, Hon. I can feel it," Ash smiled before reaching for his suit jacket and taking something from his pocket.

Ava covered his mouth with both hands after seeing what he took.

"You might see this as impulsive but it is not. I have thought hard about it and I am not going to let you go anymore. I am not going to make the same mistake again in my life. That mistake was meant to happen because I am destined to meet you.

So if you will allow me, Ms. Ava Lopez, will you marry me?" Ash opened the small box and offered it to Ava.

Ava’s tears could no longer stay where she want them to be, she handed her hand to him and said, "Yes, Mr. Asher Brighton, I will marry you."

Ash wasted no time and swiftly put the diamond ring on Ava’s finger and to his surprise, the crying Ava suddenly laugh, making him frown.

"Oh my God, I can’t believe you propose to me while still being inside me, you are such a pervert Ash!"

"Pervert? Me?" Ash quipped before he wrapped both his arms around Ava’s waist and added, "Let me show you, what is a pervert."

Ava squealed when Ash stood up while carrying her to his bedroom, and he was surely not kidding. Ash did not let her sleep until it was almost dawn, and she noted to herself to not call him a pervert ever again if she doesn’t want to get fucked all night long.

"Oh my Gosh! Congratulations Ava!"

Ava suddenly pulled back to reality, when she heard Amy’s super excited voice.

Apparently, Ash had answered Amy’s question since she was lost in dreamland, and fortunately, her now fiance, Ash, id there to save him from embarrassment and Amy’s teasing.

When everyone was done congratulating the two, Henry briskly went back to business, "Ash, earlier you said someone was spying on you? Did I hear it right?" Henry asked.

Ash nodded, "Yes, and that is the sign that I need to make this decision. I am going to accept your proposal."

Amy’s smiled so wide before jumping to Henry to hug him due to so much happiness, "Yes! Thank you so much, Ash! You will not regret this."

"Before you celebrate, Amy, I still have some conditions," Ash uttered, effacing Amy’s smile.
