The tips of Summer Lancaster’s ears turned red. Of course, she knew what Kenneth Yates was implying. She wanted to have a child, too, but they were both still so young. Besides, she didn’t want to just stay at home with nothing to do at her age.

"What did Mom say? Oh, my head hurts so much!" Summer Lancaster feigned a headache, pressing a hand to her forehead and putting on a pained expression.

Kenneth Yates saw right through her terrible acting—it wasn’t the least bit convincing—but he decided to play along. "Here, here, lie down. I’ll go get a doctor. Maybe you’re having some side effects!" As he spoke, Kenneth Yates got out of bed, ready to go find a doctor.

"Kenneth Yates, come back! I... I was just kidding, hehe!" Summer Lancaster was still feeling a little smug, thinking she had actually fooled him.

Hearing this, Kenneth Yates raised an eyebrow and turned back to face Summer Lancaster. "Honey, I won’t force you. How about we enjoy our time together, just the two of us, for a while?"
