Celestial Speed: Legacy-Chapter 75: Strict Mum

"The odds don’t play in my favor at all, but fuck it!" Henry sighed inwardly, before letting another sigh escape his lips

"I plead guilty," he muttered, staring at Felicity, who stood all mighty and powerful, on the atmosphere.

"Hm, such boldness. I’m glad you decided not to lie to me this time, so, i won’t punish you," she began to make her verdict. "But, if you must go out for a jog, then someone would have to go with you, to keep an eye on you," Felicity stated

Henry was not happy with the verdict at all, he isn’t just refrained from going hunting, but also now have a babysitter watching his every move, if he were to go out at all.

"Well, that sucks," he said inwardly, but was all smiles on the outside. "Thank you mother, you’re too kind," he voiced out with gratitude

Felicity nodded. "Alright, i have to go freshen up, Emily, be a dear and follow your brother on his little exercise. I believe you were going for a run as well?" she said 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Yes mother, gladly," Emily replied, staring at Henry with a victorious smirk, one that clearly stated "I win this time, punk"

"1-1 sister, game on," Henry thought, while smiling widely

"Good, i see you both at breakfast," Felicity yawned slightly before flying away. She was obviously tired after flying. kilometres to the sun and back.

Emily also continued walking towards the gates. "Come on, punk," she called out to Henry, who was busy pouting

"Don’t call me that," he said

Emily paused and looked at him. "Okay, whatever you say, Romeo," she snickered

"That’s even worse!" Henry retorted with displeasure, causing Emily to burst into laughter. She was enjoying herself

Henry just sighed and followed closely behind her, he knew there was nothing he could do to her, not strength-wise atleast. But there were many other things a boy could use to get back at his older sister, and Henry was already smiling mischievously at the thought of it.

"Hey Romeo!" Emily called out, snapping Henry out of his evil thoughts. "Catch me, and i’ll let you have my ship for a week,"she chuckled and immediately disappeared from the area.

Henry smiled and dashed away from the mansion’s premises as well, but he knew winning would be impossible. Emily was a natural in running even though she didn’t have speed abilities, and was recognised as one of the fastest students in the world, even faster than actual speedsters. It was due to her terrifying stamina, which was probably because she was the daughter of a speedster.

Henry was back in his room, and it was already noon. After losing the race to Emily, while managing to receive his daily reward speed, now putting him in 1500km/hr. He returned and had breakfast with his mother, before deciding to explore the glacial palace. He visited every building and area, every garden and pond, but he was more impressed with the garage. It was filled with tons of vehicles; cars, ships along with other kinds of aircrafts. Now he was lying on the bed in his room, tired and bored.

He was staring deeply at an information being displayed by the system, one that was more of an option

[You have called out to the inter-planet portal]

[Would you like to open portal]

[Yes] [No]

Henry had thought about using the portal to travel to whatever planet it led to, so he could explore it. But when the option appeared, he began to have second thoughts.

"What if i arrive on the planet and i can’t return back to earth? What if i enter straight into the hands of a Galactic beast, one i can’t fight? I have to think this through and also prepare well for it," he pondered inwardly for a long time, before finally making a decision. One he always made at the end of every long thought

"Fuck it! Let’s do this," he voiced out before standing to his feet, ready to open a portal to another planet, what a glorious day for mankind.

But before he could utter a response to the system, he suddenly felt a severe headache hit him, coupled by a sharp voice in his head.

"What do you think you’re doing, young man?" Felicity’s asked, her tone filled with discontent and sternness

"Ahh," Henry grunted in pain. "I... i," he stammered, but the ache was too unbearable that he couldn’t think straight.

"I made myself clear, Henry. You are to remain here, where it’s safe and under my protection. You can’t just leave anyhow you want, not yet atleast, and that includes the planet," she said with a strict voice, one Henry hadn’t seen her use before. He had really forced her hands.

"Do i make myself clear?" Felicity asked, still in Henry’s head.

"Yes ma’am," Henry gritted his teeth to bear with the pain and managed to mutter

"Good, now get some more rest and think about what you’ve done," she stated, and immediately, Henry felt the headache disappear completely, like as if it was never there.

Henry panted like he had just escaped hell, his heart was beating rapidly and he was sweating profusely. He sat on the bed and after a few minutes, he managed to recover and his vitals returned back to normal.

Then he heard Felicity’s voice in his head again, but this time, it was much more tender and nicer

"Oh darling, i’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you, i’m just trying to protect you, and keep you under a strict schedule. I promise that after the exams, you can go wherever you want, okay," she said with a caring but apologetic expression

Henry smiled wryly. "Sure mum, i understand, and i’m sorry for not listening as well," he said

"That’s a good boy. Mummy knows you’re bored but it’s better than being sorry, besides today was supposed to be your only day of rest, and that’s what you should be doing," Felicity stated with a caring and soothing voice

"Okay mum, i’ll do just that," Henry replied. After getting a taste of Felicity’s power, he now understood that she was not the type to be disobeyed.

"Great, i’ll have some special treats sent to you. Just try and endure, and why don’t you also do some research on weapons. The Academy allows display of abilities using weapons so if you can find a suitable weapon you like, i’ll get it for you," she added

Henry nodded, he was feeling very lucky to have gotten a mother like Felicity. She was just too caring, a bit stern but caring. "Okay mum, i’ll do that," he replied, and Felicity said some more motherly words before ending the psychic transmission.

He heaved a sigh of both releif and joy, even after punishing him, Felicity came back to apologize and even give him treats. It reminded him of his mother in his past life, one he never really got to know.
