The huge amount of the Chaos was pulled out of the squid wraith and went inside Selina. It was much more than she could handle, but with the help of Mater, her Psycho Force stabilized.

The grueling five minutes passed and the Chaos returned to the squid wraith. Its body shrunk and became a small jagged jewel.

An Emotional Gemstone was created. It was a red Fury Gemstone.

"An offensive gemstone, huh..." The leopard held the Gemstone up high.

Page of Imprisonment’s main effect was to capture a specter or undead. It could be considered a controlling type of spell. Logically speaking, Mater would need a Despair Gemstone instead of creating a Rank-2 version of it.

’You’re alright, Selina?’ Mater communicated with the goth girl telepathically.

In the dorm, Selina breathed heavily. Her entire body was filled with sweat.

’I’m alright...’

’Can you keep going?’ Mater’s voice echoed again.

Converting a Rank-2 wraith into Gemstone should be impossible for Selina. It’d kill her. But Mater was there to prevent that.

The process brought even more madness to Selina’s Psycho Force. But it had also reinforced her mind. She was slowly becoming more powerful simply by being a vessel for Mater to convert Emotional Gemstone.

Back in the Void Gate, the rectangular device roared. The black portal became smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely. The spinning sphere disintegrated.

Along with it was the church and the unfamiliar scenery. Mater and Crow found themselves back in the deserted town, now with one less Void Gate.

"We did it." Crow looked around. The Chaos in the air was visibly lowered. "Maybe we could have kept it a little bit longer."

"Maybe. But we don’t really know what would happen if we prolong it. A stronger wraith could’ve come." The leopard growled.

"Even a Rank-3?" Crow said.

"Possibly. It’s best to not be too greedy."

Crow picked up the rectangular device. The leopard and the Abomination left the area to find another Void Gate to seal.

They repeated the same actions they took with the previous Gate.

Crow set down the closing device and dealt with the minor wraiths while Mater watched from the side and helped when Crow needed.

Mater summoned another Shadow Spider to help Crow in his fight.

The Abomination and the two Shadow Spiders wrecked the minor wraiths. Crow was level 10 and the Spiders also had the same prowess. They powered through the wraiths like a scythe chopping down weeds.

Then the portal shook.

"It’s coming, Master!" Crow said.

The leopard nodded and flew closer to the portal, "Take care of the minor wraiths, Crow. Leave this to me."

Crow and the spiders lured the other wraiths away to leave a spacious battlefield for Mater to play.

The guardian appeared once more. The last gate was a tank guardian that had squid as its second form.

This guardian was a smaller wraith. The wraith had a green color instead of the usual white porcelain. There were many spikes around its neck. Its head was an egg with one single black eye.

"Black eye? What do you do this time? Shooting black beam?" The leopard grinned widely.

It attacked first by opening its mouth. A thick Nether Beam shot out and slammed on the green guardian.

The guardian immediately split in two, right where the spikes in the middle of its neck.

Then the two bodies landed on the ground. They regrew body parts and became two identical green wraiths with the same size as the original.

"Multiply?" The leopard frowned. It flicked its paw and summoned the Glacial Death Plates.

The white armor enveloped the leopard as it turned into a spike ball.

The spike ball turned into a blur in the air and slammed onto one of the wraith, its body crushed into a puddle. The gray color of Death Ice took over its body and turned it to ash.

But it didn’t die. Instead, the line of spikes on the wraith jumped out of its body and split in two. Another two wraiths appeared. They’re also identical.

"There must be some limitations to you guys."

The leopard gave up on using Death Ice power. It was obvious that Death Ice was useless against it.

Mater spammed Nether Beam toward the green wraiths. He immediately killed all of them.

But they continued to multiply. Now there were six wraiths on the ground.

"Heh. Nice trick. But I can do this all day. And you can’t hurt me."

As soon as Mater said that, the six green wraiths joined hands. They fused together and became a giant egg with green spikes on its body. There were six eyeballs running on the egg.

"What the..." Crow took a glance over and saw the giant egg. Then he returned to the deal with the minor wraiths.

The six eyeballs all looked at Mater. Suddenly, its Chaos penetrated into Mater’s mind.

The leopard grinned, "Mental attack? You’re so stupid."

The leopard spat out the Abyssal Helmet and put it on. The white armor disappeared and in its place, a dark sleek armor enveloped the leopard.

Immediately, the power of the giant egg was neutralized.

The armored leopard opened its mouth. A giant Nether Sword appeared in its mouth.

"Taste the full pressure of my power."

Nether from the helmet and Chaos from Mater reached out and went inside the Eternal Sword, charging its power.

The giant egg felt the danger right away. Its six eyes focused on Mater and attacked him mentally. But he was immune to mental attack while wearing the Abyssal Helmet.

The Eternal Sword shined brighter and brighter. Chaos flew around the sword like orbiting stars. Nether glowed on the spine of the blade.

’Watch out, Crow.’ Mater gave a heads up.

’I hear you, Master.’

Crow flicked his finger and summoned the spiders back to him. They changed back to regular sized spiders and jumped on Crow.

The Abomination transformed into a shadow and seeped under the floor.

The armored leopard bit down on the handle of the Eternal Sword.

The giant egg bounced up and flew away, trying to escape.

"Eternal Slash!"

The leopard swung the sword with its mouth.
