"Psycho-Slave is the most difficult class amongst the three main classes." Professor Brookes said. "What makes it difficult? There are two things.

Psycho-Cast is complex. And Psycho-Blade is challenging. Psycho-Slave is both complex and challenging. There is a reason why Psycho-Slave has the least amount of Psychics out there.

The second thing is Psycho Pact. Miss Isles here already has a familiar so she should already know about it."

Professor Brookes still had to mention Selina in some way.

"Keep my girl name out of your mouth!" The black cat growled.

Professor Brookes glanced at Mater and continued.

"What was that?" Selina whispered to the black cat.

"I saw some guy said that on television." The black cat shrugged.

"Psycho Pact also has two things you all need to concern about. Brand and Bond."

Professor Brookes rolled his left sleeve up and revealed the countless tattoos on his arm. "As you may already saw from my fight with Miss Isles. These are the Brands. They are a Psycho Matrix that I used to store my familiars."

The Black Professor flicked his finger. A small wraith jumped out from his tattoo. It was a little vicious monkey with no fur.

"Bond is the invisible link between you and the NCE. The stronger the link, the more you will be able to control the NCE. Powerful NCE requires strong links. Otherwise... You may end up like some poor bastard that got killed in their sleep by their own familiars."

Some student gulped involuntarily. Aside from Selina and Mater, there were also a few students that had animal companions. Cats and dogs were the popular choices. Some had birds and other rarer species.

There weren’t that many yesterday. The fight with Solomon had really made an impact on the school. Many other students wanted to have a ’Spirit Beast’ just like Selina and they started to adopt a pet. They thought that maybe they could be lucky and got a Spirit Beast also.

Mater lay lazily on the table when a cat near him turned over.

"Psst! Where is your collar?" A white cat meowed at Mater.

The black cat glanced at it and waved its paw dismissively, "Don’t bother me, undeveloped creature."

"Who are you calling ’undeveloped’?" The white cat growled.

Its owner, a small girl, quickly snatched the cat and bowed to Selina, "I’m sorry, Big Sister."

Then she turned to her cat and smacked its white paw, "That is not nice, Milky! You can’t keep fighting other cats!"

Mater rolled on the table laughing, "His name is Milky?! BHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Mater’s laugh was extremely loud and drew Solomon’s attention.

"Miss Isles... Control your cat." Solomon said slowly.

Selina didn’t answer him. But she did tap Mater lightly.

"Alright. Alright." The cat meowed softly.

Both him and Selina disliked this goth professor, but they weren’t the unreasonable type. It was his class anyway.

"I have sent the Integrator Program for the Psycho Pact to your Institution Account. All the information is on there. Today, we will focus at your familiar instead.

Unless you have a Spirit Beast like Miss Isles. Your animal companion won’t be able to use any type of Psychic Skill. But you can train it to accept your NES. The more familiar your familiar is to your NES, the better you can channel your power through it.

I, myself, have no animal companion because realistically speaking, making a pact with a NCE is a much better bet than hoping your pet will become a spirit beast. Remember, the odds for an animal to become a spirit beast is one in a million.

Miss Isles here is the daughter of a PHANTOM. She has her training and resources that all of you do not have. If you know what is best for yourself, I suggest you stop dreaming of getting a spirit beast and aim to make a pact with a NCE as soon as possible."

"This guy is really fond of you, huh?" The black cat meowed.

"He probably has some issues with my parents." Selina whispered.

"Aren’t you going to say something?" The black cat meowed.

"Say what? I do have special training and resources that normal people don’t have." Selina smiled and petted the cat slowly.

People thought that Iris and Thomas trained her but the one that trained her was the spicy black cat. The inheritance that she had also came from Mater.

Professor Brookes was partially correct.

"But having an animal companion is not entirely useless. Because of their stable state of mind, you can practice forming a Bond with them. This will help you create a Bond with an NCE later. For those that already had an animal, you can try forming a Bond. The rest can use the rodents that the lab provided."

Solomon flicked his hand as many glass boxes raised up from beneath the ground. Inside were a group of mice enough for the entire class to use.

"I have already sent the manual on how to create a Bond. Just follow the instructions."

Each student desk had a computer built into it. The black cat raised the screen up and revealed the keyboard underneath.

"Let me see what kind of Chaos Ritual is this." The black cat typed on the keyboard.

A few students glanced over and widened their eyes in surprise. They knew Mater was a ’Spirit Beast’ but they didn’t anticipate that he could also use the computer.

"I bet Selina makes him do her taxes or something like that." A student mumbled to themselves.

"Psycho Pact. Brand and Bond. Hmmm... There are some similarities between this Psycho Skill with Warlock Artifacts." The black cat meowed.

The three classes of a Psychic mirrored the three Warlock Artifacts. Mater had his suspicions. But now, he was sure that whoever designed these classes was a Warlock or had deep knowledge about Warlock’s powers.

"This skill made use of the difference between Psychic and Warlock. Psycho Pact has less control and power amplification than a Submission Seal. But it does have one unique power that is very nice."

The Brand could hold the wraith and acted like a pocket dimension. This was only possible because wraith did not have a physical body or that they could switch to a spiritual form. Submission Seal dealt with all kinds of life forms and couldn’t create a pocket dimension like Psycho Pact.
