CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 147: Unimportant
Princess Cassandra rubbed her eyes as she looked around. The room was quiet. There was no sound coming out.
Princess Cassandra got up as she searched for Amy or Duke Salvador but she could not find them. The fifth Princess was confused. Where might the two go?
Princess Cassandra was about to get out of the bed when the wind element started talking to her. Cassandra’s movement stopped as she settled down on the bed again listening to the element.
[You need to practice the elements. It is the only way that you could survive after absorbing everything.] The wind element’s voice came.
[I know that but it is difficult here. I cannot leave the room and if I practice here then everyone will notice.] Princess Cassandra said as she sighed. Her eyes looked outside as she saw some movement. [They are still keeping an eye on me. They will know once I make any move. Maybe the royals have already been informed that I am awake.]
[But practice is important. I can help the Princess with it if she wants.] The wind element said as it continued. [After all, I am the one who could guide you properly.]
[Is it?] Princess Cassandra smiled. [So tell me how I can practice? Where is a place that is safe enough that can protect me?]
[The Princess knows it too. The space is filled with crystals.] The wind element smiled. [No one will disturb you there. No one will know that you have powers.]
Princess Cassandra’s eyes widened. She was in deep thoughts. [But are the powers inside the crystals? Can I really use it in space?]
[Yes Princess.] The wind element giggled. [Although the elements are inside the crystals, they are a part of you. You can use it however and wherever you want. Why don’t you try?]
Princess Cassandra’s curiosity increased. Her eyes were sharp as they glittered a little. [Yes, let’s do that.]
Princess Cassandra slept on the bed as she closed her eyes. Her breathing turned shallow as she entered the space.
The initial dark space was now brightened by the crystals. The different colours of crystals glow beautifully like fireflies at night. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Princess Cassandra’s lips curled up as she looked down at a cat-like wind element who was looking at her with big eyes.
[Should we start, Princess?] The wind element asked as it sat beside the fifth Princess’s legs. Her tail moved as the cat licked its palm.
Princess Cassandra was confused by the behaviour of the element. She could not understand why the wind element would behave like that.
[I think I am actually turning into a cat now.] The element complained as it put its palm down. [It’s all because you made me a cat.]
Princess Cassandra was guilty. She looked down as she said in a soft voice. [I am sorry. It was the only thing I could think of.]
The wind element shook its head as it looked at the fifth Princess with narrowed eyes. [Let it be. Should we start?]
—------
[Not like this, concentrate on your breathing.]
[No it’s too fast. Not like that ... It’s too deep. Take some normal breaths.]
[No the hand movement is wrong, move your wrist a little to the left ... yes .... Now feel the power.]
The element was getting irritated as it taught the fifth Princess. Although all the people usually get a little training now to move their hands in a particular direction, the fifth Princess’s condition was different. Because the fifth Princess had lost her mother she was neglected in the palace and afterward when she showed no signs of having any element, the Princess did not exist for the teachers.
The wind element could blame no one. He felt like it was his duty now to teach the fifth Princess the proper technique in a short amount of time.
Princess Cassandra’s body was sweating. Although she tried to maintain the position she could hardly stand. Her body was shivering slightly as her eyes started to blur.
[Now move your hand from the start. Remember. A full circle of your hands as you move your leg to the side. Move your wrist and concentrate on the element you want to use and push.] The element said in a stiff tone. [Start.]
Princess Cassandra could only sigh. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. Cassandra did not know how much time had passed but she knew that her body was aching. The training was not simple at all. At Least not as simple as it looked.
Princess Cassandra opened her eyes as she focused. She followed the instructions that the wind element was giving her. At the last stage, Princess Cassandra thought about the water and a splash of water came out and then she thought about the wind and strong winds started to flow. As Princess Cassandra thought, the water took the form of a small cyclone that increased but soon she cleared her mind and everything stopped.
Princess Cassandra’s eyes were tired as she sat down on the ground.
[You are tired.] The wind element said as it walked towards the fifth Princess. [Nourish your body well. The little act that you put will make the people give you more healthy supplements. Take them and enrich your body. And don’t forget to practice. It is the only thing that will help you become stronger and unbeatable.]
Princess Cassandra nodded but she could not reply. Her throat was dry and her head was paining. All she wanted to do was sleep. Her body soon lost its power as if understanding her thoughts and she fainted.
[She needs sleep to recover.] The wind element said as he saw the fifth Princess’s body disappear from the space. It was evident that she will return to her consciousness soon.
[I hope the Princess gets healthy soon.] The wind element looked at the crystals where water and fire elements were captured. [The time is coming near. I too need to focus.]
—------
Amy walked inside as Duke Salvador followed. Once the fifth Princess was given the medicine, Amy was soon called in by the royal family. Duke Salvador had to follow Amy as he too was specifically called.
The talk with the royals was nothing special. It started with knowing what the Princess’s life was like in the Elvira Empire. Was she sick? Was she allergic to anything?
Amy told everything with a sad expression. After all, she could see the doctor writing the things down from the corner of her eyes. And soon a chef was called in.
Amy was asked what the fifth Princess liked to eat. How was she eating in the Vivere Kingdom? What was she liking here?
When Amy showed that she was confused they only said "We feel responsible for Princess Cassandra’s condition and want to treat her well."
Amy could only nod her head even though she knew what the truth was. And soon the people moved toward the guard that the fifth Princess always kept at her side.
Though Duke Salvador was not asked anything in particular as it was a well-known fact that the people from black eagle did not talk much to anyone, they themselves had witnessed that Ed was not a very expressive person.
The fifth Princess guard was told to look after the Princess as she had a weak body and if anything happened they should be immediately informed.
Duke Salvador was silent during the whole thing as he simply nodded. As they walked back, Amy and Aiden could feel the eyes of the royal siblings at them. The guards stationed at some distance were also looking at them as if observing their every moment.
Amy sighed as she entered the room and closed it suddenly. "They are suspicious of us," Amy murmured as she looked at Duke Salvador who closed the window and removed his mask.
"That means our plan is working." Aiden moved towards the fifth Princess who was still sleeping. He sat beside her and he held her hands and touched her face slightly. "They will treat her well, at least till the time we make a move to the Kir mountain."
Amy nodded as she whispered. "Lord Bentham helped us a lot. It was because of him that the fifth Princess will be treated better."
Aiden’s eyes narrowed as his voice turned sharp. "What did Achard Bentham do? It was your plan to act and it was the Princess who executed the plan well. All Achard did was say a few words. What makes you give him such a high evaluation?"
Amy’s body froze as she looked at the Duke. Her eyes shivered for a brief moment but she still managed to ask. "Is the Duke jealous of the Lord?"
"Me? Jealous? And that too of Achard?" Duke Salvador laughed as he raised his eyebrows. "Why should I be jealous of a man that is unimportant?"
"But Princess Cassandra feels he is important," Amy whispered but soon she could feel danger coming her way so she hurriedly added. "Lord is important for the plan."
