Captured By The Cold Detective (BL)-Chapter 708: A Lively Crowd
As soon as the double doors were unlocked, a surge of fresh air blasted Mu Yuze on the face, a testament to how humid and potent the scent within had been.
He Juan was dressed in a navy blue sweater and black sweatpants, with his long braid resting over one shoulder, courtesy of Mu Yuze who took immense pleasure in helping him do it. Mu Yuze, on the other hand, had no choice but to wear He Juan’s clothes as well, for the room had no attire in his size. The borrowed sweater draped loosely over his slender form, exposing the clusters of bruises around his neck and the fresh mating bite.
The two of them bumped right into Chen Youzhi, who was cooking soup in a large pot.
Upon seeing them coming out of the room, Chen Youzhi was taken aback a bit before offering a nod, a subtle relieved smile tugging on his lips. "Congratulations."
He Juan loosened his arm around Mu Yuze and stepped forward to clasp Chen Youzhi’s shoulder, squeezing it warmly. "Thank you," he expressed, his voice laden with emotions. There were so many things he was thankful for that he did not know where to start. Whether it was seven years ago or now, Chen Youzhi had steadfastly stood by his side and offered him unwavering support in everything he planned to do. In the end, he even managed to rescue Mu Yuze in time before anything horrible could happen to him.
"Don’t mention it, Boss," Chen Youzhi replied, almost carelessly. "You’ve done so much for me. You covered my mother’s hospital bill, took care of her a lot, and even arranged a funeral for her. What I did is nothing." Before the topic could divert anywhere, he gestured at the refrigerator. "There are some side dishes you can heat up if you want to pad your stomach. The rice and soup will be ready soon. We have quite a lot of guests right now."
"Guests?" He Juan wondered, exchanging puzzled glances with Mu Yuze. However, his little mate’s well-being took precedence in his mind, so he led Mu Yuze to the refrigerator first, pulling it open. "Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"
Mu Yuze swept his gaze over the containers full of side dishes and shook his head. After consuming nothing but energy bars for these past few days, he was feeling a little sick on the stomach; Chen Youzhi’s soup had never sounded as tempting.
"Let’s go out and see the guests first?" he offered.
"Alright," He Juan agreed, closing the refrigerator. His arm once again returned to its rightful place around Mu Yuze’s waist, a gesture that was as natural as breathing.
Mu Yuze’s heart fluttered and he almost couldn’t suppress a smile. As they moved towards the door, he suddenly recalled something and asked Chen Youzhi, "That’s right, how many days has it been?"
Chen Youzhi told him the date, and Mu Yuze counted with his fingers, a little shocked.
Five days!
It had been five days since they locked themselves inside the room! Usually, his heat lasted for two or three days at most, so the fact that he had rolled around in the sheets with He Juan for five whole days came as a huge surprise for him.
He Juan, on the other hand, mused, "Five days, huh? Not bad."
N–Not bad?! Mu Yuze gaped at him, shell-shocked, to which He Juan responded with an arched brow and an innocent inquiry. "What is it?"
Mu Yuze puffed up his cheeks and turned his head away with a harrumph, feeling a little sullen.
Why was there such a huge difference between an Alpha and an Omega?!

Even before reaching the living room, a loud ruckus had already reached the ears of the newly mated pair. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"There, there— there’s a monster in front of you! Damn, are you blind?! Or is there something wrong with your hands? Why are you so clumsy?!"
"It–It’s all because you’re too noisy!"
"I’m noisy? Ha!"
"G–Guys, please don’t fight. We almost died..."
Three heads crowded in front of the television with the game controller in hands, engrossed in the thrilling RPG. Nearby, three more people sat on the couch, discussing something with a hushed voice. Mu Yuze recognized four out of the six people— the ones playing the video game were none other than Wu Yuan, and the blue-eyed teenager... he must be Sirius Morningstar. Ye Qiu and Jia Molei were on the couch, accompanied by a young man with a refined temperament. He and the last man, who was being smacked and scolded by Sirius for being clumsy, must be Ye Qiu’s two brothers he had heard about – Ye Hu and Ye Gu.
Almost simultaneously, Ye Qiu, Ye Hu and Ye Gu turned toward them, their sharper senses enabling them to detect the lingering pheromones on He Juan and Mu Yuze’s bodies.
"Oh," Ye Qiu smiled. "They’re finally out."
Ye Hu immediately threw down his game controller, put two fingers into his mouth and whistled, "Congratulations, here comes the love—owww! Why did you hit me?!"
Sirius glared daggers at him. "I’m doing you a favor to fix that silly brain of yours!"
"T–Teacher He!" Wu Yuan scrambled to get on his feet, looking so awkward and nervous that he did not know where to put his hands.
"Congratulations on being a bonded pair," Ye Gu expressed sincerely.
It was really quite a lively crowd.
Mu Yuze glanced at the Alpha beside him, who stood frozen in place, seemingly having no idea where to start. Granted, all of his acquaintances had gathered here in one place – both the ones he had failed to protect, and the ones whom he hadn’t seen since seven years ago.
"Alright," Ye Gu stood up, approached the trio in front of the television, and looped his arms around Ye Hu and Wu Yuan each. "I’m sure they have a lot to catch up on, so let’s go to the kitchen and see if Mr. Chen needs some help, shall we?"
"Wait, wait— I can walk on my own! No need to drag me!"
After the three of them disappeared from sight, Sirius switched off the television and plopped himself down on the couch, occupying the space Ye Gu had just vacated. "What are you two standing there for?" He harrumphed haughtily with his arms crossed over his chest. "Sit."
