Mu Yuze’s cheek was pressed to the dusty ground, forced into the most humiliating position in his life. The passive heat was starting to cloud his senses, but he bit the inside of his cheek and used the pain to sober himself up.

Not now... he couldn’t give up here. Not until Juan-gege arrives!

But alas, he had no idea how long he could hold on for, as the situation had now turned for the worst.

"I’ve never been with a male omega before," the first Alpha remarked with excitement, almost salivating at the mere thought of possessing the omega beneath him. "Surely you must taste divine, right? I heard that male omegas are tighter than any females can ever be."

"Seriously?" the second one chimed in, panting heavily like a dog in heat. "Fuck, let’s try it out and see for ourselves!"

"We’re gonna fuck you now." The hand around his neck tightened, rendering Mu Yuze unable to breathe. "Are you happy? Your hole must be thirsty for our cocks."

Sinister laughter and cackles surrounded Mu Yuze like a curse. The repulsive sensation of rough hands exploring his body was akin to the chilling touch of a poisonous snake, disgusting him to no end. They tore at his shirt and tried to remove his trousers, while the pheromones in the air reached their peak at this critical moment.

With bloodshot eyes, Mu Yuze growled and struggled desperately, though his efforts were for naught. Right now, he had become a fish on a chopping board, just waiting for the knife to fall and cut his body to pieces.

Amidst the jostles and struggles, the clear sound of clinking metal reached Mu Yuze’s ears, and he subconsciously looked down to see the platinum pendant that had hit the ground, its edges still gleaming with luster.

Without warning, tears fell from Mu Yuze’s eyes like the ceaseless raindrops pouring from the sky.

No... not like this...

No— NO!!! He hated this!

He hated the rough and forceful hands on his body. He hated these foul and sickening pheromones, so much that he almost puked his guts out. He couldn’t imagine himself being filled with this kind of scent. He’d rather die than to let it happen. Everything was a stark contrast to his heart’s desire— the gentle hands holding him like he was a fragile porcelain, the warm embrace that offered him a boundless sense of security, and the intoxicating pheromones that made him want to drown in their allure forever...

Gege... he grieved inside his heart. Gege, sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m still too weak. In the end, I can’t do anything without you.

Following the source of the commotion, He Juan ascended a few flights of stairs until he almost reached the rooftop. Kicking open the door, he was met by a spacious yet bare floor adorned with a few large pillars to support the structure. The windows were shattered, allowing the howling rain and chilling wind to invade the air.

But He Juan didn’t even notice the cold, for his eyes immediately focused on the person who was swinging a metal bat and breaking the glass windows one after another— it was the commotion he’d heard on the first floor.

"Hmm?" Sensing his arrival, the person turned, revealing an inconspicuous and unfamiliar face. Yet there was no mistaking whom the voice belonged to.

A low pressure emanated from He Juan’s body from head to toe, yet Ku Jin seemed unfazed at all. "You’re fast," he greeted with a cheerful tone, stepping away from the window. "I thought you’d take longer. Not bad, XIU."

He Juan’s knuckles cracked from how hard he was clenching his fists. He had no time to play along with Ku Jin’s schemes. "Where is my mate?" he demanded in a low voice.

"Your mate?" Ku Jin rubbed his chin as he pretended to wrack his brain, then a look of enlightenment crossed his face. "Ah, are you talking about that police officer? Tsk, you’ve taken the wrong way, XIU. He’s in another building."

...Indeed, He Juan couldn’t sense Mu Yuze’s presence here. He turned around, ready to run straight to the next building, but Ku Jin’s next words successfully halted him on his tracks. "Though I have to break the bad news to you. Seems like you’re a tad too late."

He Juan turned his neck so slowly that he could almost hear the creaking of his bones. "...What?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Let’s see..." Ku Jin knocked his metal bat on the ground, creating a rhythmic sound. "What did I hear from the Boss again? Aha! He mentioned something about making a bunch of Alphas bed your omega and mark him. You know how he can be quite extreme when it comes to revenge. Oh, how pitiful!" he pressed a hand against his forehead as if extremely troubled, though the malicious grin on his face contradicted his act. "Such a pure and beautiful omega, forcibly taken by not only one but a few Alphas. I wonder how many times he’s been used by now. Twice? Thrice?"

With each word he said, colors drained from He Juan’s face until it became as white as a sheet. "You’re lying," he spat out, though the tremor in his voice made it sound like he was trying to convince himself instead.

The ground beneath his feet felt shaky, or it could also be him. His chest tightened so hard that he couldn’t breathe. Nausea churned in the pit of his stomach, while an intense headache pounded at the base of his skull. Yes, that must be a lie, He Juan told himself. Ku Jin was doing this on purpose to provoke him. Nothing could have happened to Mu Yuze. He was so strong, surely he must be able to hold his ground until He Juan found him.

Alas, the next thing Ku Jin did completely pushed him over the edge, plunging him into the depths of despair.

"Don’t believe me?" Ku Jin huffed. "Fine, then listen to this."

He pressed a device in his hand, and in the next second, a recording played. At first, only the chaotic sounds of fighting and curses filled the air, yet that was enough to make He Juan’s heart hang in his throat.

"What are you waiting for?! Grab him and hold his legs! Don’t let him escape!"

"Where do you think you’re running off to? Hmm? Surrender yourself, and we will make you feel good."

And then, an extremely familiar voice echoed, filled with rage and humiliation. "I will kill you...!"

He Juan’s world ground to a halt at that moment. He could feel his blood running cold as extreme dread gripped his heart. There was no way he could have mistaken it— that was Mu Yuze’s voice!

But things did not end there. As the Alphas humiliated him with vulgar words and forced themselves on him, Mu Yuze growled and struggled with all of his might. However, it was apparent that he was no match for them. As the situation reached its critical point, a faint sob escaped him, the sound shattering He Juan’s heart into millions of pieces.

"Gege..."
