Campus Cultivation Master-Chapter 696 - 0698: Immortal Tea [Part 2]
Chapter 696: Chapter 0698: Immortal Tea [Part 2]
As implied by the name Immortal Tea, it was intended for Immortals to drink. Such mortals as they were not at all fit to taste it.
According to the Qi Family’s records, even the Emperor, should he desire a cup, needed to plead.
Everyone held their breath, fearing their breath might disperse the green mist.
Yet, eventually, the green mist still dissipated, but everyone still dared not breathe heavily.
Now everyone looked at the three judges, no longer with envy. Everyone’s eyes had turned red.
They swore that if any judge dared to even touch the teacup, they would make sure to tear those three apart.
The three judges’ eyes were also red. They swore that even if it meant tasting just a sip of the Immortal Tea, dying now would be worth it.
Only Chu Feng was very calm, and very collected.
Chu Feng did not treat the matter as anything particularly special. Mainly because Chu Feng did not know what kind of tea he had brewed.
If Chu Feng knew, perhaps he would have paid it more attention.
"Hey, you three, aren’t you going to score?" Li Xiaoran was not very aware of the preciousness of the tea, she was more concerned about how much money she could win.
Did it even need judgment?
One was Mountain and Water Tea, the other was Immortal Tea.
The first type of tea was very precious and very rare. But the second type simply should not exist.
"Immortal Tea wins, Young Master Chu wins!"
The three rushed to say, their eyes fixated on Chu Feng in the hope that he would hand them the teacup.
But Li Xiaoran clearly had no intention of letting them have a drink.
Li Xiaoran took the teacup directly, saying, "Brother Feng, you really are amazing. I’m nearly dying of thirst, but thankfully, they were all so cooperative."
Then, under everyone’s envious gazes, Li Xiaoran drank the Immortal Tea.
Upon tasting the Immortal Tea, Li Xiaoran immediately felt as if she were undergoing the sensation of Immortal Ascension.
This made Li Xiaoran immediately close her eyes to carefully experience it.
"Look, her body is glowing, could this really be Immortal Tea?" someone with sharp eyes saw the glowing light from Li Xiaoran’s body and exclaimed.
Indeed, Li Xiaoran’s body was glowing. But that wasn’t simply light, it was Spiritual Energy erupting from within her body causing it.
Li Xiaoran was not a cultivator, and her body couldn’t retain the Spiritual Energy. Although it helped to adjust her body, more of it was bursting from her pores and acupoints.
The release of Spiritual Energy, coupled with the air, was what caused the glowing effect from Li Xiaoran’s body.
However, no one deeply investigated this. They only saw Li Xiaoran’s body glowing.
Everyone held their breath again, closely observing, but more than that, they felt envy and jealousy.
This process did not last long. Soon, the glow from Li Xiaoran’s body completely faded away.
"Do you feel anything?" The three judges crowded around her, asking excitedly.
Li Xiaoran thought seriously for a moment and said, "It’s very delicious, better than any tea I’ve had before. I think, I probably won’t drink any other tea in the future. It’s all Brother Feng’s fault, this big bully."
"Alas!"
Hearing Li Xiaoran’s words, the three judges sighed in unison. Their expressions looked as though they had lost some incredible treasure.
Of course they were distressed. After all, this was the legendary Immortal Tea. It’s not that it couldn’t be afforded, but to drink it as if it were a common daisy was too much.
This was simply an outrageous waste of heaven’s gifts. If not for Li Xiaoran’s special identity, these three old men, with over two hundred years among them, might have fought her desperately.
"Young Master Chu, could you please brew another cup? Just one more cup, this old man is willing to trade all my possessions for it," someone finally reacted after regretting.
The master who brewed the Immortal Tea was right here; they could ask Chu Feng.
Having heard this, Chu Feng somewhat understood that the tea he brewed was very precious.
However, since it was so precious, Chu Feng obviously could not agree.
Although as of now, brewing Immortal Tea was as easy as flipping his hand for Chu Feng.
But if he brewed it again, it would make the Immortal Tea seem too commonplace. Chu Feng still hoped to use this item in the future to trick a couple of old men. Deceiving them wouldn’t bring him any real benefit.
Chu Feng apologetically said, "I’m sorry, senior, but I’m afraid I can’t help. This was just a fluke for me, and I probably won’t succeed if I try to brew it again."
"Right, right! It was just my greedy old self, being able to witness the birth of Immortal Tea. I’m content even to die, yet here I was foolishly longing to have a cup," the old man said as he sat in the chair, lamenting miserably.
However, all of this was completely unnoticed by Li Xiaoran.
Li Xiaoran just felt that the tea was very delicious, extremely delicious. As for anything else, she really didn’t feel it.
Of course, she now had another more important task to do – she was calculating how many people had bet against Chu Feng and how much money she had won.
Watching the rapidly rising numbers, Li Xiaoran’s eyes were about to turn into slits from smiling.
"You heard that, now can we announce the winner? If you delay another five minutes, they are going to say I ran out of time," Chu Feng reminded the host.
The host herself was deeply shaken by the scene she had just witnessed.
She felt that her trip was not in vain; even without pay, she had benefited.
Now that Chu Feng reminded her, she finally caught on. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
But as she caught on, she felt somewhat distressed.
She was paid by the Qi Family, and now she had to announce that the Qi Family had lost, which made it difficult for her to speak.
Yet the three judges had said Chu Feng had won, and everyone had heard it.
Did she really have to stall for time? But with so many people watching, if she did that, she probably wouldn’t be able to continue in her career.
After much hesitation, she toughened up and spoke up, "The Tea Battle was truly splendid, Young Master Chu excelled with superior skill, leaving a lasting impression. However, Young Master Qi also made a remarkable move. Both young masters’ Tea Ceremony skills left the three judges unable to score. They could only verbally declare, Young Master Chu won by a slight advantage."
A skilled host, indeed, was quick in response. Since the three old men said Chu Feng won, whether it was by a slight advantage or not wasn’t specified by them; so however she said it wasn’t wrong.
However, Chu Feng really didn’t care how she said it. He had won, which was all that mattered. At least his first official appearance had been a victorious one. This would likely intimidate some people and save him a lot of trouble.
"Thank you for your three billion, I gladly accept it and hope you won’t get a spanking from your family when you get home," Chu Feng said with a bow and a chuckle.
