Building The Strongest Family-Chapter 58: Having Fun [ 1 ]
The next day dawned bright and cheerful as the sun peeked out from behind fluffy white clouds, casting its warm light across the sky.
At the Osborn Family Mansion, the massive doors to Arthur's bedroom creaked open just a tad.
A sneaky shadow darted inside, glancing around cautiously before tiptoeing toward the enormous bed.
With a sudden burst of energy, the figure crouched down and leaped onto the bed with a thud!
Arthur, sprawled out and sleeping soundly like a log, jolted awake as an unexpected weight landed heavily on his stomach.
His eyes flew open wide in shock, and he gasped for air.
"Ahhhh! Cough! Cough!" He coughed violently, nearly choking on his own saliva as panic set in.
"Big brother! Wake up! The sun is already out!" came a cheerful voice from above him.
"Ugh! Cough! Cough! Liz, why did you do that?" Arthur groaned as he slowly sat up, grimacing at his little sister perched on his stomach.
Liz crossed her arms defiantly. "You promised to take me to the amusement park today!"
Arthur rubbed his aching waist and sighed dramatically. "Okay, but could you please get off me? My stomach can't handle it anymore, why are you so heavy?"
"I'm not heavy!" Liz huffed playfully as she hopped off him and stood beside the bed.
"Come on, big brother! Hurry up or we'll hit long lines at the amusement park!" she urged anxiously.
Arthur raised an eyebrow at her impatience.
"Why are you moving around like an old man? Even Uncle Julian isn't this slow!" Liz snorted as she glared at Arthur with impatience etched on her face.
His lips twitched in amusement as he watched Liz pace back and forth in his room with her cheeks flushed pink from excitement.
"Calm down; it's not like the amusement park is going anywhere," he sighed internally while shaking his head at her youthful exuberance. "And it's not even eight yet!"
"Hehehe!" Liz scratched her head bashfully before pouting cutely. "I just wanted to help you get ready!"
"Alright then," Arthur relented with a smile. "Go get dressed; we'll have breakfast first before heading out."
Liz pouted but quickly dashed out of the bedroom while calling back over her shoulder, "Big brother, you better be ready before I am!"
"Ahh! This girl!" Arthur chuckled softly to himself as he got out of bed, still rubbing his sore stomach.
"She's quite heavy," he muttered under his breath while making his way to the bathroom.

"Liz, slow down or you'll choke on your food!" Margaret chided gently as she watched Liz wolfing down breakfast with bulging cheeks like chipmunk.
"No time to waste!" Liz replied through mouthfuls of food, bits smeared across her cheeks.
"Why are you in such a hurry? It's Saturday, no school today! Where could you possibly be going?" Ashley, who was sitting across from Liz, asked curiously as she watched her friend.
Liz nodded slightly, her head still buried in the food infront of her.
"Oh! Where are you headed?" Ashley asked curiously.
"Big brother is taking me to the amusement park today!" Liz exclaimed with enthusiasm, her small head bobbing up and down.
"You're going to the amusement park? That sounds like so much fun!" Ashley's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Good morning, everyone!" Arthur strolled into the dining room, greeting them with a warm smile.
"Good morning, Arthur," Margaret replied gently.
"Big brother, Liz just told me that you're taking her to the amusement park! Is that true?" Ashley turned to Arthur with eager anticipation.
"Yes," Arthur chuckled. "I promised her yesterday. It's been ages since we had some fun together. Today is all about brother-sister bonding!"
"Oh!" Ashley's eyes lit up with hope. "Can I come too?"
"No!" came the simultaneous reply from Arthur, Liz, and Margaret.
"Huh?" Ashley pouted at their response. "Why not?"
"Ashley," Arthur said patiently, "you're now the president of a huge company. You can't just go off on a whim."
"And you still have tasks waiting for you," he added firmly.
"But I've been working hard for months without any break! Can't I have just one day off?" Ashley pleaded.
"If you want your position at Osborn Fashion and Cosmetic Group handed over to someone else, then sure, come along," Arthur teased with a smirk.
Ashley's expression shifted as she contemplated his words; after a moment of defeat, she sighed and waved her hand dismissively.
"Forget it! I'll visit the amusement park another day."
Arthur laughed lightly before turning to Margaret. "Auntie, where is everyone else?"
"They left for work hours ago," she replied cheerfully.
"So early?" Arthur raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Well, they have plenty of work to do," Margaret explained with a smile.
Arthur nodded thoughtfully before preparing to sit down for breakfast when Liz suddenly exclaimed, "Big brother! I'm done! Let's go!"
Before he could protest about not having eaten yet, Liz had already wiped her mouth clean and pulled him toward the door.
"But I haven't even had breakfast!" he protested while being dragged away by his eager sister.
"You can eat when we get there! There are tons of restaurants!" Liz insisted without missing a beat as they made their way out of the dining hall.
"Auntie, we'll be back in a few hours," Arthur called over his shoulder as he shook his head but smiled bitterly at Margaret's retreating figure.
"Okay! Just be careful out there!" Margaret reminded them kindly as they left.

Once outside, "Hey, big brother! Which car should we take to the amusement park?" Liz asked, tilting her head as she surveyed the rows of luxurious vehicles.
Arthur stood with his hands in his pockets, contemplating the gleaming cars in the garage.
After a moment, he pointed decisively at a stunning red sports car that exuded power and elegance. "Let's take this one!"
"Okay!" Liz nodded casually, though her mind was already racing ahead to the fun waiting for them at the amusement park.
Arthur grabbed the key hanging on the wall and pressed it.
Instantly, the sports car seemed to come alive; its doors opened gracefully like butterfly wings, a sight that made Liz's eyes widen with delight.
"Get in!" Arthur called out as he slid into the co-pilot seat.
Liz scrambled into the passenger seat and fastened her seatbelt with excitement bubbling inside her.
"Let's go!" she exclaimed, pointing forward eagerly.
With a smile on his face, Arthur pressed the ignition button.
The engine roared to life like a beast awakening from slumber.
With a few twists of the steering wheel and a firm press on the gas pedal, they shot forward like a red arrow, leaving their mansion behind in no time.
This trip was special, no bodyguards this time; just him and his little sister.
Ever since their parents passed away, Arthur had been juggling responsibilities and trying to stabilize their family life.
He hadn't spent much quality time with Liz lately, who was only twelve years old and still reeling from their loss.
Her vibrant spirit had dimmed significantly after their parents' death, especially since everyone else in their family was preoccupied with various obligations.
But yesterday during dinner, he'd suggested an outing to the amusement park, and when Liz heard those words, her eyes sparkled with excitement!
As they drove along, Arthur glanced over at Liz sitting in the passenger seat.
She stared out of the window with curiosity written all over her flushed cheeks.
"Having a sister is really great," he murmured under his breath as he focused on driving.

Golden Bell Amusement Park is one of Neo-Luminara's largest attractions located south of the city. Interestingly enough, it used to belong to Horizon Legacy Real Estate Company, the Sterling Family's legacy, but has now merged with Osborn Real Estate and Construction Group.
So technically speaking? It now belongs to the Osborn Family!
The Golden Bell Amusement Park boasts an excellent reputation for safety and enjoyment; accidents are rare here thanks to its top-notch facilities, making it a hot spot for thrill-seekers!
About an hour later, Arthur parked in an empty space and stepped out of the car alongside Liz.
"Big brother! We've arrived!" she squealed joyfully as she skipped ahead, her baby fat cheeks glowing with enthusiasm.
"I know! Now let's hurry up and get our tickets!" Arthur chuckled as he took her hand and led them toward the ticket booth.
