Building The Strongest Family-Chapter 54: New Idea
Inside a sprawling conference room designed to accommodate around a hundred people, a massive table dominates the center, flanked by sleek executive chairs.
The atmosphere is thick with anticipation as everyone in the room whispered among themselves, confusion etched on their faces.
"Gideon, any idea why the President called this emergency meeting?" asked Harlan, a burly man with glasses and an air of bewilderment.
"How should I know?" Gideon shrugged nonchalantly. "She just convened one not long ago. What could possibly warrant another?"
Harlan sighed, glancing around the packed room. "It's been months since our company launched, yet none of the subsidiaries have kicked off any projects."
Just then, the door swung open, and in walked Emily accompanied by her assistant and several employees laden with stacks of books and documents.
An immediate hush fell over the room; everyone straightened in their seats, eyes darting between Emily and her entourage.
Taking her place at the head of the table, Emily surveyed her audience before breaking the silence. "I know many of you are puzzled as to why I've called yet another meeting,"
She began with a warm smile. "But remember all those complaints about having nothing to do? Well, your chance has finally arrived! We've received orders from above!"
Excitement rippled through the crowd as faces lit up with hope and enthusiasm.
"Looks like our days of idleness are coming to an end!" Gideon exclaimed.
"It's about time! We've been twiddling our thumbs for far too long," Harlan added with a wide grin.
Emily tapped on the table to regain everyone's attention. "A few moments ago, work was assigned to us from higher-ups. Each CEO will receive specific tasks that need prompt execution."
She gestured toward Ffion, a bespectacled woman exuding professionalism.
"Ffion," Emily said confidently, "this is your assignment for Osborn Publishing House. I trust you'll handle it without needing further direction." Her assistant placed a stack of books before Ffion.
"I won't let you down," Ffion replied earnestly.
Next was Neville. "Neville," Emily continued, "this task falls under MangaSphere Publications, your job is to serialize this manga."
With a chuckle, she motioned for her assistant to deliver another stack of colorful manga volumes in front of him.
Neville blinked in disbelief at the vibrant covers. "President… isn't this geared towards kids? Who would read something like this?" he questioned skeptically.
"Honestly? I'm not sure what my nephew was thinking when he suggested it! Just get it done; no need to overthink!" Emily reassured him.
"Alright then…" Neville conceded with a reluctant smile.
Emily turned to Harlan, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Harlan, I've got five games on this USB drive. I may not know much about gaming, but my nephew assures me that there are more than three 3A games!
Don't worry about the budget; all the necessary information is already included.
The development timeline shouldn't take long, let's aim for completion in two months. My nephew will be visiting during that time to check on our progress."
Harlan's excitement was palpable as he accepted the five USB drives. "No worries, President! I'll make sure everything is ready on time," he declared confidently, patting his chest with a grin.
Meanwhile, Emily addressed Gideon, who was surrounded by a mountain of paperwork. "Gideon, there are countless TV shows, programs, cartoons, you name it, to fill our channels," she said as her assistant placed an enormous stack of files in front of him.
Gideon's eyes lit up at the sight of the documents.
He nodded seriously at Emily, ready to dive into the task ahead.
With a sense of purpose in the room, Emily turned to the other CEOs and department heads gathered from Osborn Media and Entertainment Group.
After about twenty minutes of assigning tasks and responsibilities to everyone present, she stood before them with a smile.
"Alright everyone," she began enthusiastically, "for too long we've been sitting idle without much work to do. But now we have a mission! Let's put our best foot forward and strive to become one of the leading entertainment companies in the country!" Her words resonated through the room as heads nodded in agreement.
----------------
As Arthur stepped out of his car and gazed up at the towering office building before him, he couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement.
This place was unlike any of the office buildings he had seen before, its sleek sci-fi design set it apart from both Osborn Real Estate and Construction Group and Osborn Media and Entertainment Group.
Taking just a moment to appreciate its uniqueness, Arthur strode inside confidently.
He hopped into the elevator and headed straight for his uncle's office on the top floor without missing a beat.
Arthur stepped into his uncle's office without any hesitation at all.
There sat Julian, deeply engrossed in paperwork behind his desk, exuding an aura of seriousness.
But as soon as Arthur entered, Julian looked up, his face breaking into a broad smile.
"Arthur! You are here!" he exclaimed, standing up from his chair.
Arthur chuckled softly and settled onto the sofa with his legs crossed. "Uncle, I can see you're swamped! How's everything going?" he asked, glancing at Julian as he took a seat across from him.
Julian nodded thoughtfully. "Everything's good, just wrapping up some documents. You know how it is; without any projects on the table right now, things can get a bit dull."
Arthur grinned mischievously. "Well, Uncle, buckle up because you're about to be busy for quite a while!"
Julian raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Oh really?"
Without missing a beat, Arthur pulled out several USB drives from the sleek black canvas bag slung over his shoulder. Each one was meticulously labeled.
Julian examined the labels: "Spectra OS," "Spectra S," "1nm Lithography Machine Technology," "CerebroX Chip Technology," "Sphinx Cloud Technology," "Spectra Fusion," "Spectra X," "Hivemind Technology...."
His eyes widened in disbelief as he absorbed the impressive array of cutting-edge technologies laid out before him.
"Arthur... you mean all of these are...?" Julian stammered in astonishment.
"Yes!" Arthur confirmed enthusiastically. "These USB drives contain groundbreaking technologies that are at least ten years ahead of what we have now."
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Julian looked back at Arthur with awe still evident on his face.
"What I need you to focus on first are Spectra OS, is a new operating system, along with Spectra S for mobile technology and both 1nm lithography machine technology and CerebroX chip technology," Arthur explained with a serious expression.
Julian nodded solemnly; he understood the importance of these innovations.
"There are also source codes for various applications, a video sharing app, messaging app, and other social media platforms that need development," Arthur added casually.
Julian simply nodded again but was clearly processing all this information intently.
"And Uncle," Arthur continued after a moment's thought, "I want you to collaborate with Oscar on launching a vehicle-sharing company."
"Vehicle sharing? What's that all about?" Julian asked curiously, momentarily taken aback.
"Imagine this: vehicle sharing or ride-sharing is a revolutionary service that allows individuals to access a vehicle for a short period, typically just an hour or even a full day.
Think about it! While many people rely on buses and taxis to get around, there are times when the destination is only 1 to 5 kilometers away.
In those cases, hopping into a taxi can feel like throwing money away and wasting precious time.
That's where ride-sharing comes in! With just a quick scan of the QR code through our app, users can unlock their chosen vehicle and travel wherever they need, all while paying a fraction of the cost." Arthur explained enthusiastically.
Julian's eyes lit up as he absorbed Arthur's vision.
You know, Panterra is an enormous world teeming with billions of people.
The transportation industry here is evolving at breakneck speed! Just take Neo-Luminara, a bustling capital city within the Aurelian Federation, home to nearly 1 billion residents!
The traffic chaos during rush hour is unimaginable , because of this there are daily complaints flooding social media about gridlock.
If Arthur's plan takes off, it could be embraced by countless people for relief, and also the profit they will earn wll be massive.
Just thinking about it filled Julian's heart with excitement. "Arthur, your idea is brilliant! I totally see the vision, but why do you want me to partner with that little brat Oscar?" Julian asked.
"Uncle," Arthur chuckled, "have you forgotten? Oscar runs Osborn Heavy Industries! You'll need his help to secure various vehicles, cars, motorcycles, bicycles!"
" Oh! I forgot about that ! " Julian tapped his forehead and said with a smile.
Arthur simply shook his head and then continue, " But uncle to make this work you will to have a further in depth conversation with Oscar and also remember this is a business deal don't go easy seeing he is family".
"Of course I know that how can I go easy on thwt brat" Julian snorted with a cold face.
Arthur lips twitch and he even started praying for Oscar in his heart.
