Broken Awakening: All My Weapons Are Legendary-Chapter 34: Arrival
"A Primordial Weapon? That sounds much more useful. That’s what my own class mastery was." King Gaëlf said curiously.
Levian had just finished explaining the recent events to the king, who sat in his tree as usual.
Does he ever do anything else?
"If you don’t mind me asking, what talent did your own class mastery unlock?" Levian asked, but Gaëlf shook his head.
"Nothing revolutionary like your own. Mine has no effect in battle."
No effect in battle?
He wanted to pry further, but the King had already moved on to the next topic.
"For you to reach platinum, you’ll first need to reach high gold. Only then can I help you break through. Normally, I would suggest that you enter dungeons to rank up; however, there is a faster method for you in these times."
Levian raised his brow towards the king.
"A faster method?"
"Yes. On the battlefield. With talks of the battle of peace arriving, most battles are ending temporarily and withdrawing their forces. Some, however, are locked so deep in battle that this isn’t an option. One of our armies is fighting a losing battle at a location named Dragon’s Mouth. Their commander is dead and most of ours are currently deployed. I’d like to put you in charge of their forces, and bring them back."

Only a few hours later, Levian found himself on horseback, being guided by two other knights towards the battlefield.
He had been given a plate of black armour which suited his black eyes and hair, alongside a red cape that flowed down his back with the symbol of the goldtree plastered on it. Apparently. This would mark him as a commander.
Nerves fluttered through his body. He had to leave abruptly, and thus wasn’t able to say goodbye to Diana, but the King had promised to deliver her the news.
He was sure that she wouldn’t be happy once she found out, but Levian wasn’t bothered. This was something that he needed to do.
I’m sorry Diana. I’ll make it up to you once I’m back.
Levian’s orders had been simple. Organise the elf troops on the field of Dragon’s Mouth and hurt the enemy enough so that they will be allowed to retreat.
He did not need to win the battle. He just needed to ensure that as many elves as possible survived.
A mission that aligned with Levian’s goal.
At first, he was surprised to be put in charge of such a vital mission, but it showed just how much faith the King had in him.
"We’re about as close as we can take you, Levian Bladeblessed." The guides called from ahead. "Any closer and we might not be able to return to Goldtree."
Levian nodded his head and thanked the knights. They turned their horses around and headed back towards their destination.
The battlefield wasn’t yet in view, but Levian thought he could hear a faint sound of chatter coming from ahead.
He pushed his horse towards that direction, and once the sun began to set, he finally spotted it.
In the distant fields ahead of him, he saw the giant skull of a dragon’s head, large as a building itself. Inside the skull, he spotted torch lights, and through the jagged teeth of the skull, he spotted the heads of worried faces peaking out and glancing at the fields surrounding them.
The forces wore green armour, which was the common colour of the elves. That meant that this was the force that Levian was sent to rally.
As he was about to head towards them, Levian suddenly stopped his horses in their tracks.
No... something’s weird about this place.
He scanned his eyes around the surrounding field, and then, he saw it.
Scattered around Dragon’s Mouth were multiple camps, blending into the darkness.
They wore blue steel, the common colour of the humans and they far outnumbered those hunkered down in the Dragon’s skull.
Somehow, the elves had managed to end up surrounded and outnumbered with no way to escape. This was why Levian had been sent to save them.
He cursed beneath his breath and dismounted his horse. If he drew attention, he would be bombarded and killed in an instant.
As he crouched down in the grass, he ran plans through his head.
There are two clear options for me to help them escape.
Take down the forces surrounding the Dragon’s Mouth myself and create an opening.
Or find a way inside of Dragon’s Mouth, rally the troops, and mount an attack as a larger unit.
After a few moments of consideration, Levian came to a decision.
He’d much rather fight in a group than try to take down the humans himself. After all, the elves would have information for him on who they were up against.
Levian summoned Nyx into his hand. Then, using Fade Between Realms, he became invisible and sprinted towards the dragon’s skull.
He passed many fallen corpses.
Six seconds wasn’t enough for him, so he had to find shrubs to hide in, wait for the skills cooldown 60-second cooldown, then go again. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
It was a tedious process, but after a few uses, he finally made it to the skull and dashed between its teeth.
The Dragon’s Mouth was even larger up close. The jaw’s roof stretched tall like a palace hall.
Torches were spread about the place, and Levian spotted many men and women sitting down with defeated looks on their faces. He estimated that there were roughly twenty of them.
The smell of urine and faeces stung his nose, highlighting the terrible condition that the army was in.
Fade Between Realms wore off, and Levian appeared in front of the troops with the flaming black sword in his hand.
In their eyes, he looked like death. In all black armour and red cape floating behind his back, they were certain that the reaper had come to claim their lives.
Many of the men reached for their swords, whilst others accepted their fates.
However, Levian withdrew Nyx and held up his gauntlets with open hands. The army paused for a moment, staring at him with wide eyes.
"Calm down, and keep quiet," Levian whispered. "I’ve been sent by King Gaëlf to take command of this army. I’m going to get you out of here."
