Bride of the Serpent King-Chapter 18: she mustn’t get home
Chapter 18 - 18: she mustn't get home
Everett was finding it hard to control his laughter; this little Queen of his was too cute. But what exactly was she thinking to have come up with such a question?
He put on a serious expression and examined her breast with his hand, maintaining an unshakable seriousness on his face.
"They are indeed small," he responded also nodding.

Zaiyila's eyes became teary immediately. "Too small?" she asked softly.
Everett's gaze remained fixed on her chest, seemingly wanting to pierce through it.
Zaiyila pulled down her clothes so that he could have a clearer view.
Everett sighed. "I can't lie to my Queen," he murmured with a regretful expression on his face.
Zaiyila's breathing quickened, and she immediately hugged him tightly. "Eve, do you prefer bigger breasts?" she questioned.
Everett was now really finding it hard to conceal his laughter, but he still held still.
"What if?" he inquired.
Zaiyila pulled away and looked at him with her teary eyes. "Since you prefer them bigger, how about I make them bigger? I'll ask around on what to do," she blinked innocently.
Everett finally burst out laughing, confusing Zaiyila. "My Queen, what's going on inside your head is really unimaginable," he commented, making her face flush immediately.
Everett kissed her eyes and gently squeezed her left breast. "I love them the way they are this small. Look, my hands hide them well. It would be trouble if they became bigger and my hands couldn't cover them anymore. Every part of my Queen's body is just for me, and I love it the way it is," he declared, kissing her neck.
Zaiyila's face flushed even redder, but she didn't reject him; instead, she welcomed him readily.
"Then... then I will keep my figure like this, for you" she replied shyly.
Everett hummed in approval, his mouth not stopping its work while his hand started to travel. But before he could do anything, a bell rang loudly, bringing Zaiyila back to her senses.
"Ah, I almost forgot that I'm in school!" she panicked, quickly getting down from his lap, dressing up properly, and grabbing her mask.
"Break is over, husband. I'm going back to class," she announced and was about to run, but Everett grabbed her, pulling her into his embrace.
"What's the rush? You can use extra break and no one will stop you, they will even wait for you," he remarked.
Zaiyila chuckled. "I'm not the boss here; I can't go against the rules," she replied.
"I said no rubbish rules can tie you down," Everett reiterated, his expression turning sour.
"Alright, alright, my husband, but please let me go, okay? I just resumed," she smiled and kissed his cheek, her beautiful smile widening.
Everett sighed. "Alright then, I'll stay here till you finish class so we can go home together."
"That's right. Why did you suddenly come here? By this time, you should still be working," she frowned.
Everett chuckled. "Shouldn't that be the very question you asked me when you first saw me?" he rolled his eyes.
Zaiyila's face flushed. "I was just excited to see you," she murmured.
Everett shrugged. "No need to ask again, let it be," he remarked, pulling her closer for another kiss.
"I... I'll go to class now," she stammered and was about to leave when Everett stopped her again and handed her a pack of chocolates. "Your food is late already. Eat this slowly while you're in class," he instructed.
"Sure," Zaiyila smiled and was finally released.
After Zaiyila left, Everett's gaze turned solid immediately, and he looked like he was about to murder someone. "She mustn't get home," he stated calmly.
A shadow suddenly appeared beside Everett and knelt immediately. "She has already been taken care of. Should we go after her family?" he asked.
Everett smiled evilly. "No need. What she did today brought out the Queen's real self; even though it's for just brief moment, she still did great. Just kill her alone and spare her family. That's my thanks to her," he responded coldly.
"Yes," the man bowed. "Congratulations, Your Majesty," he added.
"Mhm," Everett acknowledged and sat down on the chair. Zaiyila's warmth was still lingering in his heart, and he couldn't help but smile. But this time, it wasn't a deadly smile—it was the kind of smile a lovestruck boy wears when recalling his lover.
"Your Majesty, we still have one family in Dairy," the man commented.
"The Xandra family," Everett smiled. "No worries, their fate is in my Queen's hands," he stated.
"But Your Majesty, the Queen is very soft-hearted. I'm afraid she won't want to seek revenge," the man expressed in concern.
Everett's smile grew wider. "That soft heart... I'll make sure to turn it into something else by then. Their blood must beautify her delicate hands," he declared murderously.
"The King is wise," the man acknowledged.
"Oh right, I want to give my Queen a party this weekend. Prepare everything—no mistakes are allowed."
"This loyal servant shall get to work immediately," the man lowered his head further before vanishing.
"My sweet bride," Everett smiled, looking at the leftover food on the table. With a wave of his hand, the food vanished.
...
Zaiyila went back to class and found it abnormally silent. Many people were even trying to avoid her gaze. She knitted her brows slightly, unable to understand what was going on, but she didn't dwell on it.
"I'm here to study; there's no need to care for others. Everyone else may avoid me, but my husband won't," she thought and smiled as she sat down.
Immediately after she sat down, Elizabeth rushed to her side with all her belongings. "I'm moving beside you now; we are seat partners," she grinned warmly.
Zaiyila was dumbfounded. "You... that's right. When did you leave the restaurant?" her eyes widened, but then she looked embarrassed. "It's all his fault; I didn't even know when she left," she thought.
"Ah," Elizabeth stared at Zaiyila longer before smiling. "I didn't want to disturb you and your brother, so I immediately left," she explained.
Zaiyila was dumbfounded. "Brother?" she blinked.
Elizabeth nodded. "Yes, isn't he your brother? You guys are quite close, and he looks so protective of you," her eyes sparkled as she spoke. "And he is too handsome! No wonder you're so beautiful—your family is just too great!" she chuckled.
Zaiyila frowned and opened her mouth to speak, but Elizabeth's next words stunned her speechless.
"Aiyi, is he married?"
