Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game-Chapter 636 - 347 Is it you who will do it yourself, or should I do it?
In his world, no one else exists because he has always been a man who sees himself as supreme.
A man in control of wealth and power, a man with the highest lineage, a man with the most extensive background.
In the eyes of such a man, all women are divided into two types: those he wants and those he doesn’t. Yet, this woman named Avery Jane makes him want but hasn’t yet gotten.
Joshua Hughes remembers telling Avery Jane clearly in his office that if they spoke next time, she should come with all her clothes off.
Is she provoking him?
Does she think she doesn’t have to undress because they’re separated by a phone line?
Right now, all he wants is to strip her clothes off immediately and teach her a good lesson.
A woman becoming bold is not a good thing. Her courage has grown to the point where she dared to hang up on him.
Today he won’t just strip her, but he’ll also do it at the Yates family’s home to see if she’ll dare mess with him again.
When the black business car stopped at the Yates family door, the servant practically tumbled inside to report to Old Master Yates.
Arthur Yates was listening to his daughter’s tearful complaints and Harper Johnson’s gritted accusations: "Master, Avery said that if things don’t go her way at home, she’ll have Mr. Hughes buy out the Yates family. Master, doesn’t she have any respect for her elders? At first, you pitied her, and allowed this person from such a low social status to marry into the family, but she’s merely using our Yates family as a stepping stone to climb higher. Master, you must seek justice for Evelyn. She’s so young and ignorant, how can she be a match for Avery Jane?"
Harper Johnson rambled on, and Evelyn Yates accompanied her mother with low sobs, truly pitiful like rain-drenched pear blossoms.
"Master, Master Joshua Hughes is here, right outside the door, and he might be coming in..." The servant ran out of breath, cautiously reporting.
Upon hearing this, Evelyn Yates magically wiped away her tears and quickly stood up.
She went out to greet him, her previously low spirits instantly lifted. Was he here to see her?
As she stepped out, she instructed the housekeeper to have the driver take her back to the Yates family; indeed, he was here for her.
"Joshua, why are you here? Are you here to pick me up?" From afar, Evelyn saw the tall figure, the silver-lit buttons on the black suit marked with the signature "H".
Someday, she too would bear that distinctive mark. It was her greatest purpose for living.
"Where is Avery Jane?" Joshua Hughes glanced indifferently at her, completely ignoring her fervent rush towards him.
"Avery? You’re here to find her?" Evelyn’s face turned ashen.
He was here for Avery, just a call and he drove straight over, not caring about her status as the potential young madam of the Hughes family, not even caring that this was her home.
She had completely fallen for him, yet he came to her house to find another woman.
Evelyn stared in disbelief. Had this man completely disregarded everyone else’s feelings?
Her tears, once again, fell uncontrollably from her eyes.
"Tears are the least valuable things. Preserve some fluids for when I feel like having you serve me." Joshua Hughes coldly dropped this remark, leaving everyone dumbfounded, unsure of what to do.
Joshua looked at Evelyn’s tearful face, how foolish.
He detested seeing women cry. To him, a woman’s role was limited to providing physical pleasure in bed, nothing more. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Tears, as a cheap commodity, were worthless to him.
Glancing coldly at the people in the living room, Arthur Yates had already stood up: "Joshua, do you have business with Avery Jane? She lives in the back cottage, let me take you there."
Arthur Yates, the sly old fox, had long noticed Joshua Hughes’s unusual feelings towards Avery Jane.
But he believed that with Avery’s background, she couldn’t possibly enter the Hughes family. So if someone else could pave the way for his daughter to marry into the Hughes family, what’s not to like?
A man like Joshua Hughes can’t have only one woman. By that time, his daughter, as the legitimate wife, could enjoy all the glory while Avery would remain hidden in the shadows.
"No need." Joshua coldly rejected Arthur Yates’s kindness without mercy.
His dark figure slowly blended into the approaching dusk.
The twilight was enchanting. Avery Jane, draped in Wenyard Cooper’s gray loungewear, sat by the window with her hair loose.
Her long hair almost covered her tiny face, curled up by the window. Her lowered eyelashes quivered lightly, like delicate, powerless butterflies, revealing her inner sorrow.
Joshua Hughes opened the door and was met with this scene, so picturesque it seemed like a painting.
The sunset, like scattered gold, fell upon her, sad, dreamy, wandering, like a child lost on the way home, making one’s heart ache. But this damn woman didn’t want anyone’s care; she only provoked him, only ignored him.
The door’s creak startled Avery from her thoughts. Turning around, she saw that tall, strapping man stepping firmly and steadily towards her.
"What are you doing here? Why are you here?" Avery was taken aback, how did this man even get in?
This is the Yates family’s home. What does he plan to do?
A chilly sense of foreboding crept from her feet upward. Avery instinctively tightened Wenyard Cooper’s gray loungewear around her, but it seemed no longer capable of providing warmth, only a cold expanse.
The air, charged with a suffocating tension, slowly enveloped her.
"Will you undress yourself, or should I do it?" Her undeniably masculine clothes made his anger flare.
She was reminiscing about the past, causing her heart and eyes to be so blind she couldn’t see the man before her.
"Mr. Hughes, please leave. This is my room." Avery took a deep breath and, using all her strength, said loudly.
Looking at Joshua Hughes’s extremely violent eyes, red with the desire to tear her apart and devour her, this man’s danger level was rising uncontrollably.
She didn’t understand what he was saying, but she knew this situation was extremely dangerous.
The man before her had turned into the most dangerous beast. With even the slightest move, he’d immediately capture her and devour her completely.
"I never repeat myself. Will you undress, or shall I?" Joshua was losing patience, his narrow eyes gleaming with a bloodthirsty light, hinting at a mix of anticipation and indescribable excitement.
The room wasn’t large, but it was filled completely with his masculine presence.
Pure, domineeringly arrogant, these auras seemed to reach out, encapsulating Avery, not sparing even her softly fragranced hair.
There was a hint of panic in her expression, her bright eyes as pure as a spring, clean and warm, delicate and full of spirit.
She didn’t realize that looking at him like that would only make him want to tear off her clothes and see if beneath that beautiful face was a body equally enchanting and maddening to men.
