Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 522: Plot
"One hundred million dollars. I need that much to make sure my adoptive parents die horribly. And my adoptive sister too."
Luna looked at her for a long moment, then smiled faintly. "One hundred million is too much."
She turned away. "I’ll send one million dollars to your account."
Just as the tension thickened near the river balcony, a cool, steady voice echoed through the narrow alley.
"There’s no need to continue this."
Everyone froze and turned toward the sound.
Aurora walked in, her steps unhurried, her expression calm.
This time, she wasn’t wearing any disguise.
She hadn’t planned to reveal herself like this, but she truly couldn’t stand watching it any longer.
Compared to her mother, who had already reached out once, Luna was indeed fast.
Still, her father could be protected either by her mother or by herself.
There was no need for anyone else to get dragged into this mess.
The moment Luna heard the unfamiliar voice, her body tensed.
Her posture straightened, and her tone turned sharp. "Whoever you are, it would be best if you leave."
Aurora chuckled softly. "If I say I’m Adam’s daughter?"
The change was instant.
Luna’s cold expression softened, almost melting away.
"Adam’s daughter?" she repeated, surprise clear in her voice.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at university?"
Aurora smiled faintly. "Of course I was going towards the University." she replied.
"I just happened to overhear part of the conversation. I heard my father’s name, so I stopped by. Who would’ve thought you were actually talking about him?"
Her gaze shifted briefly to Abby before returning to Luna.
"As for the money, it would be better if you don’t interfere anymore. I’ll handle it."
Luna immediately shook her head.
"It’s fine. I can manage this myself."
Aurora didn’t respond. She didn’t even look at Luna again.
She had a good impression of her, truly.
But Aurora couldn’t ignore one fact... once Luna got involved any further, Adam would inevitably be dragged into a deeper mess.
That was something Aurora would never allow. So she chose to take the matter into her own hands.
Aurora walked straight up to Abby.
A gentle smile curved her lips as she pulled out a check and held it up. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Would one hundred million dollars be enough?"
Abby’s eyes lit up instantly, desperation flooding her gaze as she nodded.
Aurora chuckled. "Good. I’ll give you exactly one hundred million."
Abby’s eyes dimmed slightly, as if something felt off.
Aurora then took out a contract and waved it lightly in front of Abby.
"This contract states that I will never reclaim the money I give you. I also won’t pressure you or lay a hand on you after the transfer."
Abby swallowed hard.
Aurora leaned closer, her lips near Abby’s ear, and whispered,
"But there are three conditions."
She raised one finger.
"First, you will never tell anyone about this deal. Not a single soul."
A second finger followed.
"Second, you will never use this evidence against Adam. You won’t hand it to anyone, file a police report, or leak it. Not you, not your descendants, not your friends, and not even a stranger you might accidentally tell."
Abby nodded rapidly, fear and greed mixing in her eyes.
Aurora smiled, her voice turning almost gentle. "The third condition is even better for you."
She straightened slightly.
"You will accept my help. As long as you let me swallow the Brown family’s assets completely, I won’t ask you to return a single cent of that hundred million."
Abby’s eyes widened in shock.
Aurora only smiled wider.
During her investigation, she had already confirmed it.
Abby was the exact girl the mysterious voice in her dream had warned her about.
That was why Aurora decided to intervene, not just to stop her, but to redirect her.
Abby clenched her fists, clearly struggling, then nodded reluctantly.
Luna watched from the side, displeasure flickering in her eyes.
She understood that Aurora had every right to interfere, yet she couldn’t help feeling dissatisfied.
Still, she said calmly, "I won’t leave first."
Aurora didn’t stop her.
She simply finished what she came to do.
Abby signed the contract. Aurora checked every clause carefully, confirmed the details, transferred the money, and left without another word.
Abby stared at her account balance, her hands trembling.
’One hundred million...’ It finally felt real.
A twisted smile slowly spread across her face. "Lily," she muttered darkly, "you’re done. And so is your family."
....
Back at the university, Aurora buried herself in a project assigned by the head teacher.
As she worked, she overheard a few students gossiping nearby.
"Did you hear? The Brown family’s stock prices are soaring again."
Aurora’s fingers paused.
Her lips curled into a cold chuckle.
’So it’s finally starting.’
She had never expected Abby to be connected to her life so deeply.
During her investigation, she had uncovered something shocking, the Brown family was one of the richest families in the country, true billionaires.
What stunned her even more was their daughter.
Her information was heavily concealed, but Aurora was a hacker. After digging deep, she uncovered the name.
Lily.
She was studying at the same university. The same major.
After considerable effort, Aurora finally obtained Lily’s photo. The moment she saw it, her breath caught.
It was the same Lily from Jessica’s group.
Who would’ve thought that the Brown family’s daughter would disguise herself as an ordinary girl?
What unsettled Aurora the most was how familiar everything felt.
In her original timeline, or more precisely, in the novel Aurora had impersonated Lily and bullied Lily relentlessly.
When Lily’s real parents found out, they took brutal revenge and destroyed Aurora completely.
Now, despite avoiding every major plot point, Aurora still ended up at the same university as Lily.
There were only two possibilities.
Either Lily was deliberately pulling strings behind the scenes, dragging Aurora back into the plot...
Or the plot itself had to unfold before it could ever be changed.
Aurora believed the second was far more likely.
After all, Lily had arrived at this university long before Aurora had ever thought of coming here.
Jessica suddenly turned toward Lily, her bracelets clinking softly as she crossed her arms.
"Wait," she said thoughtfully, "didn’t you once tell us to invest in Brown family stocks? You said they would definitely soar."
The moment those words left her mouth, every pair of eyes at the table shifted toward Lily.
Lily felt the weight of their attention pressing down on her shoulders.
For a brief second, her fingers tightened around her notebook, but she quickly forced a calm expression onto her face.
"I only mentioned it casually," she replied evenly.
"The Brown family is one of the registered wealthy families. Based on their structure and past growth trends, I guessed their stock would continue rising. That’s all."
"No insider information?" Jessica pressed lightly.
Lily shook her head with a small sigh. "I wasn’t completely sure myself and I didn’t invest too."
Relief flickered across Jessica’s eyes. "It’s fine," she said smoothly. "People make mistakes."
With that, she turned her attention to the others, laughing lightly as if nothing important had just happened.
Aurora, who had been quietly observing the entire exchange, lowered her gaze back to her book. ’Interesting,’ she thought. ’Very careful wording.’
...................................
After lectures ended, Aurora packed her things and prepared to leave. Just as she stepped outside the building, Lily appeared in front of her.
Aurora paused, a faint frown crossing her face before she replaced it with a polite smile. "What do you need?"
"There’s something I want to talk to you about," Lily said gently. "Are you free?"
Aurora narrowed her eyes slightly. "I am."
Soon, the two of them were seated in a small café near campus.
The air smelled of roasted coffee beans and caramel syrup.
Soft music hummed faintly in the background.
Once they sat down, Lily looked at her. "What would you like to drink?"
Aurora waved her hand dismissively. "No need for formalities. If you have something to say, just say it."
Lily hesitated, her fingers tracing the rim of her cup.
"I asked you out because I don’t really want to hang out with Jessica and the others anymore," she admitted quietly.
"I don’t feel comfortable with them."
Aurora nodded, offering no comment.
After a brief pause, Lily looked up again. Her gaze was steady this time.
"Let me ask you something. If one day you were given the chance to act as the daughter of the richest man, would you agree?"
Aurora stared at her for a long moment, then smiled faintly. "No."
Lily’s calm expression almost cracked.
She clearly hadn’t expected such a blunt answer.
"You haven’t even thought about it," she said quickly. "Why answer so fast?"
Aurora chuckled softly.
"Because impersonating the richest man’s daughter isn’t simple. She would have secrets. She would have acquaintances who’ve known her for years. Faces are recognized. Histories are traced."
She leaned back slightly. "And if the real daughter appears one day and exposes the truth, what then?"
