Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel-Chapter 945 - 17: Bloodline’s Betrayal
"The extraordinary power of the Mireya World originates from the Primordial, and all Transcendents have long been branded with its mark."
"To ultimately defeat the Primordial, we must find a way to break out of this prison, to sever our ties with it."
"This is why I aim to forge a 'Blood Holy Scripture' that is entirely detached from the Primordial Power, in its complete form."
When the crisis of the Bloodline erupted, Artemis recalled the words her teacher spoke before falling into slumber.
In truth, once it became clear the Primordial had taken action, Artemis foresaw what was to transpire.
Despite going to great lengths to prevent it, ultimately, what had once occurred on the West Continent transpired again within the Bloodline—
The Primordial's Pollution... emerged within the Bloodline.
The Primordial, after all, remains the Primordial.
As the Bloodline persistently hunted the Primordial's followers, the Primordial adapted to the Bloodline's power, culminating in the Pollution of the Bloodline's power by the Primordial Power.
Initially, the Bloodline began to experience "the world's" rejection.
They started fearing sunlight, became intensely thirsty for blood, and their Extraordinary Power began to mutate, as if cursed by their blood.
Their temperaments turned extreme and chaotic, as though their souls were tainted by some force, until finally... this Pollution spread to the Bloodline Princes.
Artemis sought to purge this Pollution.
But Her power was far too weak.
Ultimately, Her own growth was also reliant on the extraordinary power of the Mireya World, and though She wielded the greatest Blood Divine Power, She was never the Blood True Ancestor and could only suppress the Primordial Power.
Suppression inevitably led to resistance.
And when the Primordial's corruption reached the Divine Souls of the Bloodline Princes, this resistance truly manifested as rebellion against the "Blood True Ancestor."
Some sought power; others sought "freedom"; others yearned for authority.
The Primordial Power had eroded the consciousness of many within the Bloodline, leading to internal downfall and division.
When Artemis realized She couldn't eliminate the Pollution and endeavored to create a similar "Blood Holy Scripture" to purify the tainted Princes—just like Her teacher had... the Princes chose to rebel!
A war ignited by the five major Bloodlines erupted across the Mireya Continent.
Artemis was powerful.
As the sole remaining Main God of the Elf Clan, She was already a Peak Divine Spirit among True Gods, and the Bloodline incarnation—used by Charlotte as a "Divine Descent Container"—grew to rival Her own level due to the burgeoning faith in the True Ancestor.
If purifying the Pollution was not a concern and only suppression or extermination of the Bloodline Princes was needed, She faced no threat.
That was how it should have been.
But Artemis overlooked one thing.
Just like other Bloodlines, She fundamentally benefited from the extraordinary power of the Mireya World during Her own growth.
Therefore...
The Primordial began to awaken within Her as well.
Benefiting from the Blood Divine Power left by Charlotte, She was aware of the Primordial's presence when it attempted to invade Her Divine Soul.
However, despite discovering its presence, Artemis could not stop it. Her power originated from the extraordinary Mireyan power, and though Her true body was somewhat shielded by the Blood Divine Power, Her incarnation couldn't suppress it.
Even after modeling a similar "Blood Holy Scripture" like Her teacher, Artemis couldn't halt the Primordial's invasion, leading Her to face a harsh truth:
On Her own, She was utterly incapable of opposing the awakening Primordial Will.
"Only the teacher...only the teacher has transcended as a Creator God, possessing power to confront the Primordial. Only by awakening the teacher can the Primordial be defeated!"
Yet Artemis couldn't reach Charlotte.
No, before Charlotte slept, She didn't even leave a means for Her to be awakened.
Artemis didn't know how long Her teacher would sleep or where.
She began searching, seeking the place Charlotte might be slumbering, searching for any communication failsafe Charlotte might have left.
But no matter how Artemis looked, She couldn't find the slightest trace of Charlotte.
Beyond that, as the Blood True Ancestor's name merged with Her identity, Charlotte's own "imprint" seemed wiped out.
No trace, no clue, and any relevant knowledge outside Her own was unknown even to deities. The feeling was...
It was as if...
"It was as if the teacher truly disappeared, ceasing to exist in this world, as if erased from everyone's memory."
Artemis murmured.
But only She remembered.
Only She, with the "True Ancestor Incarnation," maintained that "link" to Her mythical teacher.
"Where exactly is the teacher sleeping? Where did the teacher go?"
Artemis was bewildered.
Yet the Primordial Power continued its invasion...
"It can't go on like this. I...I must find a way to inform the teacher; somehow, I must warn that the Primordial has awoken early!"
Artemis clenched Her fist.
With that thought, Her gaze gradually steeled.
Indeed, the teacher may have vanished.
However, there was one last method to potentially contact the teacher.
Artemis lowered Her head, gazing at the "Blood Holy Scripture" in Her hand.
It was the Blood Holy Scripture She crafted in Her teacher's manner, using the Blood Divine Power left to Her by the teacher.
This "Blood Holy Scripture" did not devour the Primordial Power like the true Holy Scripture. However...the Blood Divine Power it carried could serve as an anchor point to the genuine Blood Holy Scripture.
If She also sacrificed Her True Ancestor Incarnation, leveraging its position to trace the time-space continuum...perhaps, She could, like Her teacher, tear open a temporary temporal rift to send a message.
"If I open this temporal rift along the path the teacher must traverse in the past, the future self will surely receive the message."
Charlotte gazed beyond the Dark Night Castle at the Bloodline Princes who were steadily approaching.
To sacrifice this incarnation was sufficient to briefly open a communication channel to her teacher.
However, the cost was the complete erasure of the identity "Lilith."
Besides this, her main body would inevitably be implicated; she would lose all Blood Divine Power and would no longer be able to resist the Primordial erosion, needing to voluntarily fall into slumber to prevent further pollution by the Primordial.
Until... the future when her teacher awakens her once again.
With a gentle sigh, Charlotte looked towards the approaching bloodline.
Crimson divine power blossomed on her body; at this moment, she unreservedly released all her Blood Divine Power, using the Bloodline Princes' siege as an opportunity to commence this sacrifice!
Divine Power surged, myriad mythic battles dimmed the heavens and shook mountains and overturned seas.
Ultimately, under the siege of numerous Bloodline Princes, the "Blood True Ancestor"... finally fell.
Crimson divine power continuously evaporated, the fiercely burning Divine Fire ignited everything, and the magnificent Divine Body gradually cracked and collapsed under the penetration of many divine powers.
Charlotte glanced at the platinum brilliance rushing in the distance and murmured softly:
"Brother..."
"'Lilith'... has gone ahead."
With a soft sound, the crimson body shattered with a bang, transforming into countless flying photons, manifesting a sky-covering blood-colored river stretching hundreds of thousands of miles across the sky...
"Blood True Ancestor" Lilith... has fallen.
...
The "True Ancestor Incarnation" shattered, and Charlotte's main body also suffered severe damage.
A strong sensation of drowsiness came over Charlotte, knowing it was a passive sleep from deep injuries.
But she still remembered her mission.
So, at the very last moment before the slumber, she used her remaining strength to activate the "Blood Holy Scripture" in her hand.
The crimson book shattered, pages flying in all directions, and as many Bloodline Princes pursued the pages, the last strand of Blood Divine Power drew Charlotte's consciousness up to the heavens.
It was a peculiar feeling, Charlotte felt herself being detached from her own perception, transforming into a pure spectator's perspective, beginning to overlook this world.
Time flowed.
But her time was frozen.
No, it was not her time that was frozen, but as she wished, using the sacrifice of both her True Ancestor Incarnation and her own strength, she successfully established a bloodline connection with her teacher, finding the path to communicate with them!
Charlotte saw a star river made up of countless spacetime fragments.
In front of this star river, the entire history of the world seemed cut apart, severed, becoming a slowly unfolding scroll.
When Charlotte saw this star river, she also once again sensed the presence of her teacher.
"Teacher... was once here!"
Her heart shook.
Charlotte didn't know where she was.
However, judging from the aura, Charlo must have either passed through here or had once been here.
Following the trajectory of the aura, she could trace the other.
Thinking of this, Charlotte began to burn her consciousness.
She had come here with just a strand of consciousness.
Consciousness was also fuel for advancement.
Apart from the message she wanted to convey to the other, in this strange space, she could use anything as fuel to move forward.
Of course, this was something she had long planned; memories were also carriers of power, and her memories that might be eroded by the Primordial needed to be burned away during the search for her teacher, lest they become a means of backtracking by the Primordial.
Yes, this would lead to her strand of consciousness forgetting most memories before reaching the destination, but as long as the message could be conveyed, it was enough.
Charlotte's consciousness continued to burn.
In the depths, she felt the aura of her teacher becoming clearer.
Unsure how much time passed, her consciousness finally reached the end of the path.
No.
Strictly speaking, it's not the end of the path.
Rather, it is an image that blocks all probing.
It was an illusory book, also a portal to the unknown.
It was the Blood Holy Scripture, or the reflection of the Blood Holy Scripture.
Seeing that illusory book, Charlotte was momentarily stunned.
As if realizing something, her gaze became complex, somewhat suddenly enlightened, somewhat excited:
"I see..."
"Teacher, is this your true plan..."
Charlotte looked at the reflection of the Holy Scripture with reverence, bowed in respect, and then ceased trying to advance further.
"We... have again been sheltered by you."
She murmured with a complex tone.
After speaking, Charlotte turned, looking at the path she came, without hesitation severing it and shattering all memories belonging to "Charlotte" within this strand of consciousness.
Thus, the road traced from the Mireya to this spacetime was completely severed.
"Teacher... I, too, await you in the future..."
Her final words, slowly dissipating with the burning of memories.
...
