[BL] The Omega Boss Mafia is Secretly a Pervert?!-Chapter 102: Just The Two Of Them
"You won’t forget us, right?" Adrian asked, eyes a bit glassy as they stood at the dock.
Work had finally called them back. Even as freelancers under Ouroboros they still needed to remain active, and they were dangerously close to the three-month limit. Their privilege would be gone if they didn’t return now.
"What do you think I am? A goldfish?" Lucien lifted a brow.
Adrian only clung tighter, gripping his hand like he was being abandoned forever.
"Let him go, Adrian. I want to say goodbye too." Silas stepped in, calm as always.
"But we won’t see him after this!" Adrian complained and suddenly wrapped Lucien in a crushing hug that knocked the air out of him.
"For a couple of days? Let go." Silas pried his brother off as if he were peeling gum off someone’s hair. "The faster we arrive, the faster our work done, okay! So let me say goodbye too!"
Lucien sighed. "Silas is right, and don’t be dramatic. It’s not like I’m going anywhere." He paused. "For now."
"Don’t say things like that. Look at him, he’s already unbearable." Silas muttered.
"For now? What does that mean!" Adrian yelped. "You’re planning to leave?!"
"See?" Silas rubbed his temple and pulled Lucien into his arms. His voice dipped low. "Don’t act bratty or do something stupid or I’ll punish you."
A shiver ran down Lucien’s spine, but he smirked. "I’ll be waiting for it then."
The two of them laughed, which only made Adrian stare harder, suspicious as hell. Silas eventually had to drag him toward the ferry so the ship could finally depart.
Lucien waved until the boat disappeared over the horizon. When he turned around, he walked straight into someone solid enough to knock him back. A hand caught his waist before he fell.
"Done with that dramatic goodbye?"
Lucien looked up and groaned when he found Edmund standing there with that same irritatingly smug expression.
"What do you want?" Lucien stepped back immediately. "The five meters rule still applies."
"Don’t be like that. You know we’re the only ones on this island now, right?" Edmund’s tone dripped with satisfaction, as if he’d already won something.
"Whatever." Lucien walked past him without a single glance.
There was still so much unresolved between them. Too much. And for some reason, Lucien couldn’t let any of it go. It gnawed at him, that strange mix of hatred and longing.
It was killing him.
But when they returned to the mansion, Lucien immediately noticed the staff rushing around with boxes.
The sight dragged his mind back to the time Edmund prepared those chokers for him. An entire mountain of them. It was almost traumatic.
He looked over his shoulder and saw the alpha keeping a strict five-meter distance, perfectly obedient with the rule he was forcing himself to respect.
"What are you preparing?"
"I told you I would give you a gift." Edmund’s smile was gentle, almost soft. "Come with me. I prepared a new room for you."
Lucien narrowed his eyes. A new room. The last time Edmund announced that, it ended with leather straps and a very questionable chair.
’What kind of depravity is this Leopard planning now?’ he thought while following him.
Edmund’s walk was painfully proper. Hands behind his back, steps measured, posture immaculate.
Even his hair was annoyingly perfect, not a single strand out of place. His clothes looked like they were steamed directly onto his skin.
"What a control freak," Lucien muttered. The Leopard chuckled under his breath.
"It is strange seeing you walk behind me. You are not my subordinate, are you?"
Lucien flinched, only then realizing the way he had been trailing after Edmund like some loyal underling.
The realization burned his pride immediately. He strode forward and placed himself beside the alpha, closer than necessary.
Edmund noticed, of course. That slow, knowing smirk appeared, the one that made Lucien want to smack him and kiss him at the same time.
"Great. You did this on purpose, didn’t you?"
"I have no idea what you mean." Edmund tilted his head, leaning close enough that his voice brushed Lucien’s ear.
"Although I should remind you that your pride will destroy you someday." His grin deepened when the omega frowned.
He stopped in front of a door and opened it. Lucien stiffened the moment he saw the inside. His suspicion vanished, replaced by something softer, something he tried very hard to hide.
It was a music room. Or more accurately, an artistic sanctuary. A pristine piano, rows of instruments, and painting supplies placed with careful precision.
He knew those were for Edmund. The alpha loved painting. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The room faced the ocean, large windows letting in the wind that pushed the white curtains into a gentle sway.
For a moment, it felt like Lucero’s drawing room. The one from his childhood. The one filled with memories he didn’t touch often.
He stepped inside slowly, leaving Edmund at the door, and approached the grand piano. White and polished like untouched snow.
He pressed a key, barely, and the clear note brought back the image of his mother playing during family evenings.
Caesar relaxing on the couch, one leg crossed over the other, wine swirling lazily in his hand. Elena playing with elegance, the entire family wrapped in the warmth of something that almost felt normal.
"It brings back the past," he murmured.
"I know. I love hearing you play."
Edmund’s voice came from beside him as the alpha pressed a few keys. The melody was soft at first, then melancholic.
Claire de Lune.
Edmund’s hands were large, too heavy for such delicate keys. His pheromones drifted in the air, calm and addictive, slipping under Lucien’s skin.
The omega shuddered and forced himself to take a step back, needing distance before he accidentally let warmth soften him.
"I will play it for you. Sit down and enjoy," Edmund said with confident pride.
Lucien laughed and crossed his arms. "You and Twinster brats are tone deaf. Adrian is the least terrible, but he still sounds like a dying instrument."
"Make a bet with me then," Edmund said. "If I can play your favorite piece, that five-meter rule disappears for a day."
Lucien laughed harder. "Only a day? I thought you were a greedy man. Turns out you have a tiny shred of generosity."
"Yes. So do not be too harsh on me."
"Ah, so that is your goal." Lucien shrugged. "Fine. I can tolerate you for a day. Just do not expect me to feel sorry for you."
"I prefer it that way. I hate being pitied."
Lucien’s grin sharpened. He wondered if Edmund realized the omega fully intended to sabotage him from the start.
This time, he was the one holding the leash on the Gilded Leopard.
And he was thrilled.
