[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 359: Escape
Mr. Albert simply shivered at his words. The words stung him—words he couldn’t deny as truth, but words he didn’t wish to acknowledge at the moment.
"So..." the Emperor stared at him. "Go right now and begin making preparations. I don’t have all the time to wait. I want it handled as quickly as possible so I can focus on finding that wizard."
He was still giving instructions when they were distracted by a knock at the door.
The Emperor seemed frustrated as he looked up. "And who’s that?"
A guard made his way inside and went down on his knees. He had brought an urgent report.
"And what is it?" the Emperor questioned. "Speak now."
"The Imperial Princess has escaped," the guard said. He explained how they had found a rope by her windowsill and how there was no sign of her anywhere.
Hearing that, the Emperor closed his eyes and pressed his fingers against his forehead. "That useless..." He rolled his eyes. "I guess she’s smart after all. She took the opportunity during the chaos and escaped, huh?"
"How ungrateful. After all the care I’ve given her, she still decided to run away? What an ingrate," he said bitterly.
He stared down at the guard. "She can’t have gone too far. Make preparations and begin looking for her. Search everywhere and make sure you find and bring her back immediately. Understood?"
"Yes!" the guard said.
"And..." The Emperor thought for a while before giving further instructions. "Also make preparations to bring the Empress back. She should have learned her lesson after staying away long enough. So I think it’s time she returns to witness the mess happening in the empire," he said. "So go and bring her back, understood?"
"Yes!" the guard agreed as he got to his feet and made his way out. As he was leaving, another guard entered to bring further news.
He reported that some important figures had arrived who wished to help him in his fight against the Wizard of EL.
"...They’re here and wish to have a formal meeting with you. So they’re waiting outside," he explained.
The Emperor hesitated with a deep sigh. He stared at the guard and then at Mr. Albert, who still knelt before him.
"Okay... I’ll be there," he agreed, then looked down at Mr. Albert again. "And as for you... don’t even try doing anything funny, okay?"
Mr. Albert said nothing.
The Emperor added, "Just go back to your abode and prepare your son for me. When I’m done, I’ll come for you. So don’t try anything at all. Because if you do, I can’t guarantee your lives. Okay?"
Mr. Albert slowly nodded in agreement.
"That’s more like it," the Emperor said, his chin up as he turned and walked out of the room with the guard.
Mr. Albert remained there, still kneeling with his eyes down, endless thoughts filling his mind.
He gasped, letting his eyes dart around as he urgently considered what he could do.
He couldn’t wait, that much he knew. He couldn’t sit around and just wait for the Emperor to come and take his son from him.
He had spent years protecting his son. He had done a lot of unethical things to protect his son. He had sacrificed so much to protect his son. He had done a lot! So he just couldn’t sit back and watch the Emperor take him away.
He had come too far for this. And so he knew he had to do whatever it took to protect him.

The Emperor spent a long time in his meeting with the important people who had come to see him. He lost track of time.
In the end, he went to bed and left the matter with Mr. Albert for the next day. He was exhausted.
By the next morning, he had sent his guards to summon Mr. Albert to his room again. He sat on his bed, leisurely drinking from his golden cup while waiting for Mr. Albert to arrive.
But only the guard arrived with news.
"The Grand Priest is gone with his son! They’re nowhere to be seen around the palace!" the guard informed him, panicking.
The Emperor’s expression instantly fell as he stared at the guard. At first he was confused, but now he was simply speechless. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"What...?" The cup fell from his hands, the drink spilling. "What the hell are you talking about...?"
The guard hesitated before repeating it again.
The Emperor felt everything inside him shatter. He couldn’t form coherent words at the moment. All he could do was stare into thin air, shocked.
He never expected Mr. Albert to get this brave with him. He thought he wouldn’t even have the guts to do anything, since he had him under his control.
But he guessed he had made a huge mistake. He hadn’t given it enough thought, and now things were falling apart.
"That bastard..." He staggered to his feet as he stared at the guard. "Are you sure of what you’re saying?!"
"We’re sure..." another guard explained. "We went to call him but didn’t see him in his room. We looked everywhere but couldn’t find him at all."
Another guard added, "And then we discovered some clues that could be traces they left while escaping. Even though the clues were vague, there might have been some use of magic... And we think they escaped early in the morning or something. That’s how we came to the conclusion—"
"Shut up!" the Emperor snapped, not even letting him finish. "Set out now! Begin looking for them! Don’t let them off! Don’t let them get too far! Search for them and make sure you bring them to me today, or don’t bother returning! Go now!"
The Emperor knew he couldn’t lose them like that. It would mean his doom. So he threatened his guards to find and bring them back.
The guards all bowed in agreement and set off to look for them, while the Emperor remained in his room, seething over the escape for hours.
