[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 341: Borrowed
Eden and Helen strolled through the bustling streets of the capital city that night. The marketplace was filled with endless things to see and even more to buy.
Eden wasn’t used to the scene, so Helen showed him around while Lenny sat on his shoulder, watching as they moved.
Eden enjoyed the view of all he saw—from performers doing dangerous dances, putting sticks of fire halfway into their mouths and breathing out flames, to the beautiful items on sale. There was really a lot to take in tonight.
"You haven’t been to a festival before?" Helen asked, observing Eden’s amused expression at almost everything they came across.
Eden smiled. "No, I haven’t..." The feasts in the real world weren’t like this at all. This was more... eventful.
"Ah, I guess wizards don’t have bustling festivals like this...?" she raised an eyebrow at him. Eden smiled as they continued moving.
They were halfway through their journey through the market when someone suddenly approached from behind and lifted Lenny off Eden’s shoulder.
Eden instantly turned, alert, but let his guard down as soon as he saw Marcus smiling at the cat, patting him in his arms. Lenny didn’t seem too happy with the attention.
"I thought you weren’t coming? Huh?" Marcus smiled, running his fingers through Lenny’s fur.
Lenny struggled, setting himself free from his grip but to no avail. "Hey, get away from me. I don’t want to go naked here!"
Eden and Helen stared at them. They couldn’t help but smile. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Can I borrow him for a second?" Marcus asked.
Eden shrugged. "Sure. Just keep him safe."
"Of course." And Marcus took off with the cat.
"Hey! You traitor!" Lenny cried as they carried him away.
Helen and Eden smiled as they watched them leave.
"Are you sure you should let him go like that...? Will he be safe?" Helen asked.
Eden smiled as he turned to continue walking. "Don’t worry. He’ll be safe. Marcus will protect him by all means, so let’s leave the bubbly couple to be." He added, "Besides, if anything happens, I can feel it beforehand and save him. So let’s continue looking around..."
Helen shrugged, and they smiled and continued their stroll.

Lenny walked out of the cloth store dressed in his first set of clothes ever—an expensive blue attire that Marcus had personally picked out.
"This looks amazing on you," Marcus kept admiring him as they walked. Lenny’s soft pink hair blended perfectly with the blue outfit.
Lenny folded his arms, looking down at himself. "I don’t think I need this, though... You didn’t have to..."
"A gift from me. So have it," Marcus smiled. "I insist."
Lenny sighed. "Whatever. But you didn’t have to kidnap me like that..." He glared at Marcus, who casually smiled back.
"I didn’t kidnap you. I only borrowed you for a second..." he insisted.
"Well, a second is technically over, then," Lenny said, arms still folded.
"You don’t have to put it that way," Marcus smiled. "Look, tonight is beautiful and there’s a lot to do and see. So instead of bickering, let’s go see it all, okay?"
They started moving, but Lenny suddenly stopped and turned to stare at Marcus. "Hey, do you like me?" he asked randomly.
Marcus paused. His expression stiffened as he looked down at Lenny, short of words. Their eyes locked for a while before Marcus slowly smiled.
"What do you think?" Marcus asked, but Lenny said nothing. He casually shook his head and continued walking.
Marcus followed behind. "Maybe if you become nicer to me, I might end up liking you then."
"No need for that," Lenny said, waving him off as he moved. Marcus followed him until they arrived at a store that sold bracelets.
Lenny stopped and stared through the collection.
Marcus picked a couple’s pair and asked for the price.
"What are you doing?" Lenny asked.
Marcus said nothing and made the payment. "Here, it’d look pretty on you," he said, handing him the pink one with a smile.
"Isn’t that a couple’s pairing? Why would I take it..." Before he could finish his statement, Marcus handed it to him.
"Just take it."
The female seller smiled. "It would look perfect on you two. Lovers always love purchasing this particular pairing so much because of the mythological story behind it."
They both stared at the woman.
"We’re not a couple," Lenny tried protesting.
"What’s the story behind it?" Marcus asked instead, curious.
The woman smiled as she explained. "You don’t know? Legend has it that it’s a bracelet given to the goddess by a god when he left for war. He asked her to wait for him. Though legend says they never met again soon—it took twelve lifetimes before they reunited in the mortal realm... all thanks to the bracelet."
She smiled as she added, "So lovers use it in hopes of never parting. And finding each other again even if they do part... even if it’s in another lifetime."
Marcus smiled at the red bracelet in his hands. "That’s beautiful."
But Lenny rolled his eyes. "All scam stories made up to get people to buy," he mumbled to himself. Only Marcus heard him.
"Thanks, we’ll make good use of it," Marcus smiled as he grabbed Lenny by the hand and took off.
"You’re holding my hand..." Lenny reminded him as they moved through the street.
"I know," Marcus said as he continued walking, Lenny’s palm tightly buried in his as they moved.
Lenny tried to remove his hand, but Marcus held him tightly.
"Let’s stay like this..." Marcus said as they moved. "For a moment. Let’s just stay like this..."
Lenny wanted to pull his hand free, but his body did otherwise. He didn’t retreat. He didn’t pull back. He simply let him hold his hand.
Lenny followed him, his palm in Marcus’s, and felt his heart fluttering as they walked. Everything he was feeling was contrary to what he wanted to feel, but he simply couldn’t help it...
