[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 303: VOL. 2: What’s new?
Tears ran down Eden’s cheeks. He could feel it even in his sleep.
His heart hurt, even from the dream he was having. And he couldn’t help but respond to it as his cheeks grew wet from the tears.
Slowly, he opened his eyes as his vision blurred. He couldn’t see anything clearly for a while. But then it soon grew clear, and Eden could see he was in a room.
He stared at the ceiling for a while—the ceiling of a luxurious room—while feeling himself resting on a soft bed. A huge, soft bed.
He was confused. Thoughts ran through his head at that moment while he wondered where the hell he was. Lots of things were crashing through his mind, things he was sure he recalled happening, but he wasn’t sure in what order.
The flashback of the Wizard of El.
Him coming out of the portal leading to the Soul Mountain.
Him meeting the dead body of the old man of the Khan kingdom while hearing the footsteps of soldiers approaching.
The memories of him and Gideon...
He recalled them all while staring at the ceiling. But he didn’t understand what was happening or where he was now.
"Are you okay?" He heard a voice.
Someone spoke beside him, and he immediately turned to his side to see who it was. Lenny.
He caught sight of his cat sitting beside him on the bed, staring at his face. He was rather relieved to see him again.
"Are you okay? You seem to have been having a terrible nightmare..." Lenny pointed out.
Eden slowly sat up from where he lay. He didn’t respond to Lenny’s question, but his eyes ran through the room.
He was in a well-polished room. One he was certain belonged to a noble or a rich man.
But he didn’t remember coming here at all. So how the hell did he get here?
"Where am I?" Eden asked, looking around.
"It’s sort of a long story. But long story short, you’re in Adrian’s mansion. He kind of saved you from being caught by those soldiers. Or sent someone to save you," Lenny explained.
Eden ran a hand over his temple, calming himself while he tried to recall something. The memories came in pieces, and he found it hard to put them together.
"But that’s not important now. Why were you crying in your dream? What did you dream about?" Lenny asked.
Eden hesitated as the thoughts ran through him again. "Nothing much. Just dreamt of someone. Haven’t thought about them in a while."
"Are you sure?" Lenny asked.
"Yes, why?" Eden asked.
Lenny sighed. "Nothing. I thought maybe you also had a similar vision as I had."
"What happened? What did you see this time?" Eden knew his visions were always related to solutions and answers he needed to navigate this novel world—and potentially answers to him leaving this novel soon.
"Well, I guess you have a major task at hand now if you wish to leave this novel. And I think it has a higher chance of presenting the answers you’ve been looking for."
"What is it?" Eden inquired, curious.
Lenny hesitated before saying, "The author is in this world."
Eden paused. He blinked while he stared at Lenny, trying to digest what he had just said. "Huh?"
"It’s just as you heard it. I think the author of this novel, the one who wrote all you’re living through, is in this novel as we speak," Lenny said.
Lenny also added, "And to find answers to you leaving, you have to find him."
Eden blinked. He couldn’t stop the feeling of excitement that ran through him for a moment there. He was going home. He had a chance of going home. And all he needed to do was find someone!
He smiled. "Is that so?"
Lenny nodded. "Yeah. I had a vision of instruction like that. Seems like your major task at hand. The writer tried ushering you back into your character—making you the villain you are. He tried making an abrupt change to the novel by making you do what any villain would do: kill someone and breed war between two nations."
Eden slowly nodded. "So that’s why I found myself... before that man." Shivers ran through Eden’s body. "But did I really... kill him?" He was scared of that thought.
He didn’t wish to be a murderer. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Mentally speaking, you’re not the one. It’s basically the author working through the Wizard of El. But physically speaking, yeah, you murdered the man," Lenny explained.
Eden sighed. "That sucks. I bet everyone knows now. The news of the Wizard of El killing a man and inciting potential war between two kingdoms must have spread far and near."
"It certainly has," Lenny nodded.
"But..." Eden stared at his palms. "Even though I didn’t kill him mentally and still don’t have memories of all that happened... I still feel strange. It feels like I’m the one who actually killed him somehow."
"That’s because you’re the Wizard of El now. Fully," Lenny explained. "It’s a complicated concept, but the two of you are literally the same person now, but different people. You are him... and at the same time not him... You two share the same existence but in different universes..."
Eden stared at him. "Not another math problem..."
Lenny sighed. "That’s just it. You have a complicated connection. Maybe just view it as the same person but in a different universal font."
Eden sighed. "How is that possible if the character was never even written out of inspiration from me?" he casually wondered. But he brushed off the thought anyway.
"But..." Eden added, staring at Lenny. "Regarding the author, where the hell can we find him? You can’t tell me he’s just there without a destination and we have to somehow find where he is?" Eden dreaded that.
"That’d be a hassle. But luckily, we have a clue of where to specifically go looking for him," Lenny said. "The Military Academy at The Imperial City."
