[BL] Dear Hushand, I want divorce-Chapter 116: Will you marry me?
Chapter 116: Will you marry me?
Ash slowly blinked awake, the morning light filtering softly through the curtains. As his eyes adjusted to the soft glow, the first thing he saw was Elijah’s face, peaceful and relaxed in sleep.
A small smile tugged at his lips as he took in the sight of the man he loved more than anything in the world. Elijah’s features were softened in sleep, his dark lashes fanned across his cheeks, his lips slightly parted as he breathed evenly. Ash felt a warmth spread through his chest, a happiness so pure and profound that it was almost overwhelming.
For a moment, he simply lay there, absorbing the quiet beauty of the morning and the man beside him. Everything felt right. The storm that had once raged in their lives had passed, leaving behind a calm, a serenity that Ash had never thought possible.
They had been through so much—pain, misunderstandings, longing—but here they were, together, stronger than ever. It felt like a dream, one that Ash never wanted to end.
He gently reached out, brushing a lock of hair away from Elijah’s forehead. The love he felt for Elijah was indescribable, a force that had carried him through the darkest of times and brought him into the light.
Ash couldn’t help but silently thank life, the universe, or whatever force had brought them together and kept them together. Finally, his life was on track, heading toward a future filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities. He felt so grateful for this journey, for the way they had fought for each other, for the way their love had blossomed against all odds.
As he continued to watch Elijah, the man began to stir. His eyes fluttered open, and when they met Ash’s, a slow, sleepy smile spread across his face.
"Good morning," Elijah murmured, his voice deep and husky with sleep.
"Good morning," Ash replied while blushing slightly. "I was just watching you sleep. You looked so peaceful."
Elijah chuckled, pulling Ash closer to him, his arms wrapping around him in a warm embrace. "I’m glad you enjoyed the show. I could get used to waking up like this every day."
Ash nestled into Elijah’s chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath his ear. "Me too," he whispered. "I’m so happy, Elijah. It feels like everything is finally falling into place."
Elijah pressed a kiss to the top of Ash’s head, his lips lingering there for a moment. "We’ve come a long way, haven’t we? But it’s all been worth it—every struggle, every tear, every moment of doubt."
They kissed then, a sweet, lingering kiss that spoke of all the love they had for each other, all the promises they were ready to make. Ash’s hands threaded through Elijah’s hair, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. When they finally pulled apart, both were breathing a little heavier, their foreheads resting against each other’s.
"I love you, Ash," Elijah said softly, his eyes filled with sincerity.
"I love you too, Elijah. More than anything."
Elijah grinned, pulling Ash into a tight hug. Ash smiled against Elijah’s shoulder, feeling more content and fulfilled than he ever had before.
As they lay there, as they held each other close, everything felt perfect—like the start of a new and beautiful Chapter in their lives.
When the time came for Ash and Elijah to talk to Grandpa about leaving. Ash didn’t want for this moment to come but they both know that it’s meant to happen.
Grandpa sat in his usual chair, his wise old eyes studying them both, sensing that something significant was about to be discussed.
Ash shifted nervously, glancing at Elijah for support before taking a deep breath. "Grandpa, there’s something we need to talk to you about," he began, his voice gentle but firm.
"What?" Grandpa narrowed his eyes on them.
"Elijah and I...we’ve decided to leave. We have discussed this topic for a long while. And we have decided-" fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Grandpa’s face fell slightly, the sadness evident in his eyes as he processed the words. He had known this day would come, but that didn’t make it any easier. "I see," he said quietly, nodding slowly. "I always knew you’d find your way back. But I didn’t think it would be so soon."
Ash felt a pang in his chest at the sight of Grandpa’s sadness. He reached out, taking the old man’s hand in his own. "Grandpa, we want you to come with us. I can’t imagine going anywhere without you."
"What?" Grandpa looked at Ash, surprised by the offer. He hesitated, glancing down at their joined hands. "This is my home, and I’ve lived here my whole life. So, go and build your life kids. My blessings are with you."
"But you’re part of that life, Grandpa," Ash insisted, on the verge of crying. "You’ve always been there for me, more than anyone else. I can’t just leave you behind."
Grandpa’s heart swelled at Ash’s words. He had always seen Ash as the son he never had, the one who stayed by his side when his own flesh and blood had left him behind. His so-called son, who lived abroad, rarely even bothered to call, let alone visit. But Ash...Ash had been there through it all, and now he was asking Grandpa to come with him, to be a part of this new Chapter in his life.
Tears welled up in Grandpa’s eyes as he realized just how much Ash meant to him. He gave Ash’s hand a squeeze, his voice trembling slightly. "You know, I’ve always thought of you as my son. More than that boy who left me behind. If you really want me to come with you, then...I’ll go. I’ll go anywhere you go."
Ash felt a wave of relief and love wash over him. He pulled Grandpa into a tight hug, holding him close. "Thank you, Grandpa. I promise, you won’t regret this. We’ll make sure you’re happy wherever we go."
Elijah stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Grandpa’s shoulder. "We’ll take care of you, Grandpa."
With that, the three of them sat together, talking and planning for the future. There was sadness in leaving the old home behind, but there was also excitement for what lay ahead. And as Ash looked around at the people he loved, he knew that no matter where they went, as long as they were together, they would always be home.

Ash stood in the field, the golden light of the setting sun casting a warm glow over the rows of crops swaying gently in the breeze. This place had been his refuge for the last three years, a place of hard work, solace, and healing. He had poured his heart into these fields, finding peace in the rhythm of planting and harvesting. Now, as he glanced around one last time, a wave of bittersweet emotions washed over him.
Everything had happened so fast—the love he had found, the decisions they had made, and now, the impending departure from this place that had been his home. His heart was full, yet it ached with the weight of saying goodbye.
He heard the soft crunch of footsteps behind him, and before he could turn, strong arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him into a familiar embrace. Elijah. The warmth of his body, the strength of his arms, it all felt like home. Ash leaned back against Elijah’s chest, closing his eyes as he soaked in the comfort of the moment.
Elijah rested his chin on Ash’s shoulder, his breath warm against Ash’s ear. "We’ve come a long way together."
Ash smiled softly, his hand coming up to rest on Elijah’s. "Yeah, we have. It’s hard to believe that I’m really leaving."
Elijah tightened his hold on Ash, his lips brushing against the side of his neck. "I know it’s hard, but we’re moving forward together. And there’s something I want to ask you before we go."
Ash turned slightly, curious, but before he could say anything, Elijah gently spun him around to face him. There was something different in Elijah’s eyes, something that made Ash’s heart skip a beat. The love that shone there was deeper, more intense, than Ash had ever seen before.
Elijah smiled, a soft, loving smile that sent a warmth spreading through Ash’s chest. "Ash, these past few days with you have been the best of my life. And I’ve realised that I don’t want to spend another day without you by my side."
Ash’s eyes widened in surprise, his breath catching in his throat as he processed Elijah’s words. "Elijah, w-what are you saying?"
Elijah cupped Ash’s face in his hands, his thumbs gently brushing away the tears that had begun to well up in Ash’s eyes. "I’m saying that I want us to be together, forever. And this time. No contracts, no duties, no lies—just love. Pure, true love. Let’s start from where things began to crumble."
Ash’s heart pounded in his chest, overwhelmed by the depth in Elijah’s words. He could barely believe what he was hearing. "Elijah...are you..."
Before Ash could finish his sentence, Elijah took a step back, never breaking eye contact as he slowly lowered himself to one knee. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. Ash’s breath hitched as Elijah opened it, revealing a stunning ring that sparkled in the fading light.
"Ash Blackthorn," Elijah began, looking deeply in husband’s eyes, "will you marry me? Will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my partner for the rest of our lives?"
Ash’s eyes filled with tears, his heart swelling with so much love that it felt like it might burst. He looked down at Elijah, the man who had been his rock, his love, and his everything. And now, he was offering him forever.
Ash nodded, his voice choked with emotion as the tears spilled down his cheeks. "Y-Yes. Yes, I’ll marry you. I love you so much!"
Elijah’s face broke into a wide, joyful smile as he slipped the ring onto Ash’s finger. The perfect fit, just like their love. He stood up, pulling Ash into a tight embrace as they both laughed and cried, overwhelmed by the joy of the moment.
Elijah cupped Ash’s face once more, his thumb brushing over his cheek as he leaned in to kiss him—soft, slow, and full of promise.
"I love you, Ash," he whispered against his lips. "I’m never letting you go, my dear husband."
Ash’s heart soared as he returned the kiss, feeling the truth of Elijah’s words in every beat of his own heart.
This was it—the beginning of their forever. No more doubts, no more fears, just the two of them, together.
