[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 295: Back to Routine
Yesterday, Pere suddenly called Mona out in the middle of Offense Class. No one knew why. After class ended, Revan was called out too.
Langga only told them that starting today, Mona had been expelled. Her replacement would probably join Class S within the next few days.
When classes were over, the students of Class S happened to walk past Mona, who had just finished packing her things.
"Did Mona say anything?" Gara cut in while Miki was explaining.
Miki thought for a moment, then shuddered. "Yeah... she said something. She was... like someone possessed."
"Funny, considering she’s a Ghost. Can ghosts even get possessed?" Jett chimed in out of nowhere, with Revan beside him.
"You feeling better, Gara?" Revan asked.
Gara nodded, then turned back to Miki. "So? What did she say?"
"She laughed like a lunatic and said she was happy she got you into danger. And she said you were probably... dead." Miki lowered his voice when he said the word ’dead.’
"Insane," Gara muttered.
"After laughing, she suddenly burst into tears, screaming that she wouldn’t be able to see Professor Langga ever again. I swear, something’s really wrong with her head," Miki concluded with a click of his tongue.
"Of course something’s wrong with her," Gara agreed.
"When Professor Langga told me about Mona, he didn’t tell me the reason," Revan added. "I only found out that evening that it had something to do with you. Sorry... as class monitor, I should’ve noticed something was off about her."
"Even Professor Langga couldn’t handle her. How could you?" Gara replied casually.
They continued discussing Mona’s expulsion, but the question that had been bothering Gara —why she was expelled so easily— remained unanswered.
When classes ended, Gara decided to go straight to Langga and get the real reason.
"Was Mona’s expulsion because of me?" Gara asked, skipping all formalities.
Langga didn’t answer immediately. His blue eyes scanned Gara from head to toe. "Is your body doing better?"
"Yes. I can even do a backflip." Gara rolled his eyes. He was getting tired of hearing the same question over and over.
"So why was Mona expelled in just one day?" Gara asked again.
"I reported her to Sir Agus Soren," Langga replied.
Gara understood instantly.
Sir Agus desperately needed Gara’s dimensional space. If he found out someone had tried to harm Gara, there was no way he’d sit still. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
And if the request came from Sir Agus, especially when the evidence and criminal act were clear, the headmaster would almost certainly approve it.
"You’re not going to ask anything else?" Langga asked.
Gara shook his head.
"Then what’s your relationship with Sir Agus? What does he do inside your space?" Langga asked this time.
"I can’t tell you. That’s between me and Sir Agus."
Thank goodness, while he was inside the space, Langga hadn’t wandered around. He really had done nothing except play with the triplets.
Then Gara remembered his plan. "Oh right, this weekend..."
...
Ever since Gara’s identity was revealed to the public, he had run into Lio several times.
But the awkward atmosphere between them kept any real conversation from happening, or maybe they were both simply choosing not to talk.
Even Carla had become awkward, since she was the one who used to drag Lio along to talk with Gara.
Not just Carla, Fian also felt guilty every time Gara headed to Herbalist Class.
"If only I hadn’t saved him during the test..." Fian’s head drooped low.
Gara reached out and brushed a finger through Fian’s blonde hair. "Don’t overthink it."
Fian’s face instantly turned red. He kept his head down, trying to hide it, even though Gara could clearly see his ears burning.
Not wanting to prolong Fian’s discomfort, Gara stood up.
"I’m going to Herbalist Class now, okay?"
When class ended, no one left their seats. Today, they were holding a special meeting for first-year students only.
"Half of our second semester has already passed. Before we know it, this semester will end and we’ll enter our second year. I hope we can finalize our project theme soon."
Clara opened the meeting at the front of the classroom.
Gara sat in the front row. The seat beside him was empty; Clara had been sitting there earlier.
Meanwhile, Lio —who usually sat somewhere around them— now sat farther back.
Gara tried to didn’t think about Lio anymore. He focused on the meeting.
He raised his hand. "I recently finished a study on extending the lifespan of the one-night flower. You all know that flower, right?"
Clara and the other students stared in surprise.
Everyone knew about the flower considered a pest and it only lived for about twelve hours.
"Since one-night flowers are seen as pests, no one has ever tried researching them for potential uses. So I want our project to focus on that. With the amount of time we have and the number of people in our class, I think we can discover something."
"What do you all think?" Clara asked the rest.
Some agreed, while others felt it would be pointless.
After a long discussion, Gara’s proposal was approved.
"Our year-project will officially be: discovering the uses of the one-night flower and finding out how this flower is able to grow." Clara concluded.
The meeting ended not long after.
Unlike the others, Gara didn’t return to the dorm. He still had assistant duties in Professor Aura’s office.
Leaving the tower, he headed toward the professors’ building.
"Gara!" A voice from behind stopped him.
Gara had known from earlier that someone was following him. He could smell the person’s scent, or rather, the scent of that druid. Lio.
"What is it, Lio?" Gara didn’t bother with pleasantries. For all he knew, Lio could be carrying some warning from the druids.
But Lio’s words shattered the assumptions. "I support Lady Vita."
"Lady Vita? My mother?"
Bringing up Lady Vita in the academy felt completely out of nowhere.
Most students here knew Commander Gavin. Whenever people talked about Gara’s parents, it was always about the commander— not Lady Vita.
"Yes. I wasn’t born yet when everything happened, but my mother told me the story many times."
Lio looked straight into Gara’s eyes, but Gara’s confident gaze made him avert his eyes without even realizing it.
"You really are just like your mother, Gara. My mom always said Lady Vita was an incredibly strong guardian. Brave, confident, beautiful, and someone who truly cared for other druids."
It was the first time Gara had ever heard anyone talk about Lady Vita besides Wina.
Tristan and everyone else only ever spoke about Commander Gavin.
’Lady Vita was a powerful woman, but she used that strength only to protect the druids. No one in this world understands how incredible she truly was except the people of Wasyah Forest. And the saddest part is... they’re the ones who took her life.’
His birth mother’s story was undeniably tragic.
"What are you trying to say, Lio?" Gara didn’t have time for conversations that would only deepen his resentment toward druids.
"I... I just wanted you to know that not all druids hated Lady Vita. Not all of them hate you either. And that includes me. I know it’s hard for you to be friends with me, but I want you to know that I’m not your enemy."
Gara hadn’t expected quiet, reserved Lio to speak this much— or this smoothly.
"Alright, I understand," Gara nodded. "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be go—"
"There’s no one stronger than you. In Wasyah Forest, no one." Lio suddenly shouted, cutting him off. "And that’s why..."
"That’s why?" Gara stared, tired.
"They... they might send a lot of druids to attack you." Lio looked like he’d just bitten his own tongue after blurting it out.
’So he came to warn me?’ Gara guessed.
"Alright. I’ll be careful."
Lio’s expression softened with relief. He nodded, then awkwardly ran off, as if the confident speaker from moments ago wasn’t him at all.
For now, Gara could only contact Tristan and Ramun and notify them about the warning.
...
The weekend finally arrived, and Gara had a special appointment today.
He had reached the Alrova Shop Esapura City branch in the Esalavya Duchy, which hadn’t officially opened yet. Its grand opening was still a week away.
He wasn’t here to meet his uncle. His purpose today was something else entirely.
In front of him, a silver-haired man stared at him with hopeful eyes.
"Stop looking at me like that." Gara felt genuinely uncomfortable.
"Sorry, sorry. I didn’t expect you to agree this quickly." Langga’s handsome face was lit with a smile that just wouldn’t fade.
"It was you who changed my mind," Gara muttered.
"Changed what?" Langga blinked, not fully hearing.
"Forget it." Gara flicked his hand dismissively. "Let’s go pick up the triplets inside."
The two disappeared into the shop, and moments later returned— each carrying a baby high chair, plus the babies themselves.
They arranged the high chairs surrounded the table.
Once everything was set, Gara headed upstairs.
"No crying, okay? Daddy’s just going up for a moment," Gara said.
Aldwin nodded excitedly, Ava narrowed her eyes suspiciously, and Arion looked like he was about to cry.
Thankfully, Taly quickly soothed Arion.
Not long after, the shop door opened.
A red-haired woman in an elegant dress stepped inside.
Her gaze instantly fell on her son, and the three adorable babies.
"Langga, did you kidnap someone else’s children?!"
