[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 264: Ambitious Plans
To the north and east stretched open ground, dotted only with sparse trees.
From the height of the watchtower, they could see another wall in the distance— tall, but smaller and thinner than the mansion’s main wall.
They couldn’t see the southern area from there, which must be why a second watchtower had been built behind the mansion.
Instead of taking the front gate, they walked through the forest behind the mansion until they reached the back watchtower, which looked identical to the one in front.
Climbing up, they found the same view beyond the rear gate— open land, with no mist at all.
"It’s time we take a look outside," Gara said.
The other three nodded in agreement.
Together, the four young men stepped through the back gate. Before them stretched a wide, flat expanse of land. Perfect for building something.
"What are we supposed to do with all this empty land?" Gara wondered aloud, still trying to grasp the point of the dimensional home pocket the system had given him.
’Goddess, wasn’t this pocket dimension meant only to keep my children safe and healthy? Then why give me a space this huge?’
Gara often found himself speaking to Goddess Freya in his heart. Sometimes, she would answer, but other times, she gave him nothing but silence.
Unfortunately, this was one of those silent times.
"If the front field’s going to be planted with wheat, won’t we need workers? Farmhands could live around the area, right?" Ares spoke up.
Coming from a royal dragon family, where even his clothes were washed by maids, the idea of managing a huge farm with only a few people made no sense to him.
Gara and Madha, who were used to tending their own gardens, and Fian, who had worked for humans since childhood, didn’t see things the same way.
But Ares’s words did spark a thought in Gara’s mind.
’Does a land this large mean it’s meant to house many people? Who, exactly? My children when they grow up... or the people who’ll serve them?’
The word ’manor’ kept echoing in his thoughts. ’Could it be... once this place levels up again, it’ll expand even more? To the size of a village?’
An unfamiliar image of his dimensional home pocket formed in his mind. Something he’d never imagined before.
’If all of Alrova Merchant House’s factories were moved here along with the workers and slaves, the company’s secrets would stay hidden. The costs would drop drastically too, with no more rent to pay.
And if this pocket dimension keeps leveling up and expanding... that might actually be possible’.
Wild, ambitious plans began taking shape inside Gara’s head.
"Gara!"
He snapped out of his thoughts when Madha tapped his shoulder. "You tired?"
Gara quickly shook his head.
"This is the farmland," Madha said, pointing ahead. "The soil’s fertile."
Without realizing it, they had walked quite far from the back gate toward the west.
The ideas swirling in Gara’s head were indeed complex, but seeing the vast stretch of farmland before him made those ideas feel more achievable.
They lingered there for a while.
Gara crouched down and examined another patch of soil. "This land could probably be cultivated too, right?"
Madha stepped closer, nodding. "Yeah. We’d just need to clear out the rocks and roots, then turn the soil over."
After checking the farm, they made their way to the spring.
The crystal-clear water ran cold over Gara’s fingers. He quickly pulled his hand back. It was easy to forget how close winter was. His fingers had nearly gone numb.
Still, a bright smile spread across his face.
"This spring feeds the farmland, doesn’t it?" he asked, tracing the water channel with his gaze. "The pressure seems strong enough to supply another field."
"Another field?" Madha asked, already catching on to Gara’s train of thought.
Gara just nodded, offering no further explanation.
Madha didn’t press. He knew better than to ask when Gara wasn’t ready to talk.
They returned to the mansion through the front gate.
From a distance, they caught sight of the manor’s outer gate, but with the sky darkening and the air turning icy, they decided not to investigate further.
"The road outside is longer now," Gara remarked casually.
He shared the information with the others, but made no move to order them out. It wasn’t time yet.
For dinner, since everyone was tired and still shaken by the day’s surprises, Gara decided to make something a little more special.
Besides, it would be their first meal in the mansion’s brand-new dining room.
He joined Wina and Della in the kitchen, helping them prepare the dishes. Madha and Fian, seeing Gara cooking, offered to lend a hand too. But Gara quickly stopped them.
"Just take care of the triplets in the lounge," he said with a firm smile.
The two young men could only nodded, then went out from the kitchen. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Mom, I’ll go get the meat from the basement," Gara told Wina before heading downstairs.
He planned to bring up several kinds of meat from the cold storage— beef, lamb, chicken, and fish.
But when he looked for the lamb, something bright red caught his eye.
The frozen petals of the One-Night Flower.
"I didn’t move this here..." Gara frowned, his brow tightening. "One of them must have done it."
A sinking feeling settled in his chest as Langga’s face surfaced in his mind.
That disappointment still stung, the kind that came from trusting someone deeply and being let down in return.
Letting out a long sigh, Gara found himself thinking about Mona’s case again.
’I just hope Sir Agus Soren can help uncover the truth behind this.’
Their meeting with the vice headmaster happened the next day.
Agus Soren, with his pale, unwrinkled face despite being nearly five centuries old, looked genuinely confused.
Not only had three human boys come to see him, but his grandson was with them too.
"There’s something else I need to tell you, Grandpa," Revan said quickly before his grandfather’s confusion deepened.
