In the instant Shawn raised his hand, a massive clock-like array appeared at his feet.

In another time frame, entered through Shawn’s time spell, the Lord of the Underworld, walking to the palace entrance not far away, began to turn his head little by little. The Lord of the Underworld first turned his head slowly, then his speed gradually increased. Though still in slow motion, his head was now nearly halfway turned.

Even more bizarre, his body actually left a phantom in place.

Within this frozen time frame, the original form of the Lord of the Underworld was still maintaining the posture of walking out of the palace with his back to Shawn. But the instant he turned his head, the original head seemed to shatter, the skin cracking from the neck, followed by long segments resembling centipede limbs, and finally, like shedding a shell, the figure left behind on the spot had its head burst open, and a hideous worm head emerged from the cracked back of the head.

This hideous worm head was filled with dense sharp teeth, and within the split skull, the exploded flesh could be seen. By now, its original human head had completely disappeared, and the centipede-like neck, over two meters long, twisted 180 degrees to gaze at Shawn, while a horribly broken human face remained hanging on the back of its frightening head.

Droplets of black blood slid from the empty eye sockets of the hollow human face.

Divine creatures can resist the spell of time acceleration. Shawn’s time acceleration lasted less than five seconds, and once the other side synced into the same time frame as him, it was as if both of them entered the time-accelerated state simultaneously.

This was only because the Lord of the Underworld wasn’t of demigod level. If it were a demigod level existence, it would instantly sync into the same time frame as Shawn during time acceleration.

The battle seemed to be under another time law.

All around was frozen in time, while Shawn and the Lord of the Underworld simultaneously entered an accelerated time frame, beginning to cast in a ’bullet time’ like time stream.

Shawn’s accelerated time frame returned to normal, and a volley of explosive Alchemy Bullets hit the Lord of the Underworld before him, blasting his entire body into a wreck, with large amounts of dark green blood scattered inside the palace.
