At the same time that William, Canza and the other two were up against the Satcthalle, the survivors of their groups had gone to a safe distance to wait out the situation. As they couldn't participate in such a high level battle, the only thing they could do was hide and wait until the coast was clear. Also, since both sides were temporarily working together, the disputes between them were set aside for the moments.

On William's side, there were three survivors —excluding him and his bodyguard— out of the original team of eight. As for Canza's group, their casualties were much more, having lost more than half of their men with only two survivors —Canza and Cassie excluded— out of the initial ten men.

Despite William's group having more survivors, the two sides were balanced. This was because one of the three survivors was the severely injured fourth level stellar practitioner, who wouldn't be of much threat to anyone at the moment.

The other two were a third and fourth level stellar practitioners respectively; the same as the survivors on Canza's side.

Unknown to these groups of survivors, Lucas was hidden just a couple of metres away behind them.

A few minutes ago, Lucas had found the trail of the

Satcthalle on his way over. Adding what he knew from his past life as well as the current environment, Lucas surmised that the Heart of Silver wasn't unguarded as some would think. In fact, there was a significant chance that the first living thing to find it wasn't a hyuman but one of the desolate beasts living in the Millennium Mountains

In Lucas' first life, it was common for powerful creatures to guard treasures that could help improve their potential or strength. So logically, the same would apply here. And the markings he had spotted earlier made Lucas recall and confirm this fact.

Right after that, he found a dark place and hid until the Satcthalle made its appearance. During the commotion, Lucas then snuck closer to the scene, which led to the present.

'So that's the Heart of Silver...'

Lucas stared at a piece of rock that protruded out of the wall on the other end.

The typical Mystic Silver ores gave a dull green light. The Heart of Silver however, gave off a purple glow, making it stand out amidst the Mystic Silver ores. But the most interesting thing about it was the seemingly flowing liquid within it which could be spotted even from so far out. Despite the rock being stationary, the blue liquid within it was constantly in a flowing state which made it easy to be spotted from a distance away.

"System any idea what that liquid is?" Lucas asked.

Considering the question was harmless and won't affect his mission, Lucas believed that the system wouldn't ignore him.

As expected, he was right.

"The liquid within the Heart of Silver is a very important component and it is known as the Blood of Silver. Similar to the Heart of Blood, it is a very valuable material formed from the composition of rare metals with a planet's world source."

The system explained.

"It also has a unique feature that might interest the host."

"Oh? What could that be?" Lucas was both surprised and intrigued by the system's follow-up statement.

"When combined with the other materials in your possession, they can improve the efficacy of the final drug. So much so, that the final product would be one step closer to the Red Dragon Heaven Pill."

Hearing those four words, Lucas' eyes glistened.

The Red Dragon Heaven Pill was a miraculous pill he spotted the first time Lucas went into the system shop. It could form a peak quality body capable of perfectly manipulating and storing mystical energy. In other words, whether it was for stellar refinement, Qi cultivation, mage-craft, and so on, a body formed thanks to the Red Dragon Heaven Pill, could control all elements of mystical energy perfectly all at once and at the same time.

On the other hand, the drug Lucas has to make from all the materials he got while levelling up, was different. Although it could heal him, the drug was unable to form such a perfect body as the Red Dragon Heaven Pill does, there was consolation in the fact that it granted multiple effects.

But according to the system, if Lucas added the Blood of Silver into the mix, the drug would be capable of forming a pseudo-perfect body.

'I must get my hands on that.'

Lucas' resolve was now strengthened more than ever before. He didn't even mind failing the mission as long as he got a bit of Blood of Silver at the end.

He then reined in his greed and studied the situation a bit longer.

At first, Lucas was confused why no one rushed towards the Heart of Silver and tried to steal it. However, after monitoring the situation as well as the Heart of Silver, he came to the conclusion that it wasn't "ready" yet.

'But once it has, all hell would break loose. It would become impossible for me to steal it. I can't let that happen.'

As Lucas began to plot, the battle ahead of him was in full swing.

Thanks to Canza drawing out his Grade 4 vestige and with William utilising his hint of superpowers, the group was surprisingly able to hold off the Satcthalle. They weren't able to defeat it or gain the upper hand, but they were able to keep it at bay and hold off the Satcthalle. Considering it was a peak seventh level desolate beast, this in itself was already very impressive.

'Six minutes left.'

William, who was currently surrounded by bizarre tentacle limbs made out of an eerie black gas, took on a determined look on his face. This was his innate super power that was yet to be completely locked. However, thanks to his mixed blood, William was able to use an impressive portion of it, creating three tentacles that were almost as good as actual vestiges.

"Young master."

William's bodyguard silently approached William.

"Yeah. Get ready."
