Manny cocked his head at Sara as one of her group members stepped over to try to break them up. Sara lifted her hand to stop her member from stopping them. She wanted to see where this would go.

"And what if I am? What're you gonna do about it?" Sara asked. She was arrogant as she indulged in Manny's comment. She knew him. She grew up with him and Lee Seng. She knew what they were capable of. She knew she could easily win. "I felt bad for Lee Seng after his accident so I gave him hope by being with me. What's so wrong with that?"

"You bitch." Manny's fist flew straight for Sara in an instant. His eyes burned with rage as the punch stopped short of her face. Sara flinched, pulling away as mutters grew. A fight was unfolding in front of their very eyes and it would be all over the campus. Sara frowned. Manny had stopped the punch itself to scare her. She pushed his fist away and took a couple steps back.

"Can't even hit a girl. Shame." Sara scoffed. "I don't understand you. You sleep around so much and they all say the same thing. You're dangerous in bed yet there's nothing dangerous about an Observer who can only heal. Why should I be scared of you, hm?"

"Sara… I think we should—" Her teammate began to speak when she turned to them.

"I should put someone in there place!" Sara shouted. She turned and looked back at Manny. "If you want to come and tell me I should be ashamed of what I did, you should at least make sure you're following the same damn advice!" She poked into Manny's chest, forcing him backwards.

"Damn it." Keng whispered, turning.

"Lee!" Ritsuka shouted.

"I won't do anything too horrible." Keng told him. He moved out towards Manny and pulled him out of the way. He blocked Manny from Sara and stared at her, annoyed.

"Oh look, buddy number two is going to protect you. You don't think I know how this goes?" Sara asked. "Whenever we fight, you always lose to me. Words, battle, it doesn't matter. I will always be better than you, Valentin! You need your little crush, here, to protect you every goddamn time? Why don't you—"

"I would stop if I were you." Keng quietly spoke. These seven words were enough to draw Sara's attention. These seven words were enough to give her goosebumps as she stopped mid-sentence to look at Keng. He was different from what she remembered. He was much colder and the way he quietly told her… Made her more interested.

"Why? I can't defend myself?" Sara asked, pushing Keng a step back. "You threw a fit when you were sick and found out. Why should I be ashamed? Why should I not defend myself? You used me to get better and now that you're better you don't need me. You threw me away."

"Didn't I warn you twice already, Evans?" Keng quietly spoke. He rose his hand and mimicked a mouth closing. "Keep your mouth shut. This is your last warning before I make you shut up." Sara gulped. There was something different about Lee Seng. He wasn't the person she knew at all. It was like… She was looking at a completely new person.

"Lee." Manny called out to Keng. "I think you should stop… Before—"

"We've gone through this for many years, Manny." Keng looked at his teammate. "She would throw a fit whenever things didn't go her way. She always wanted the best of the best. She was spoiled by Scarlet and Alex, so she thinks she's queen of everything. Her way or the highway and she always put you and I into a corner — you especially. You want me to stop after all of that?"

"Says the one who doesn't want his daddy's money." Sara commented, rolling her eyes. Keng's eyes flashed to her. For a moment, she didn't see human eyes, but animal eyes. Keng's killing intent had flashed for a moment and Sara found herself moving to the railing. She grabbed onto it for support as she gulped. "Y-you don't want nothing to do with the Creator's company! It's an easy life if you just—"

"Silence." Keng spoke in Fox tongue. He couldn't help himself as a strange rune flashed in front of Sara's lips. She began to talk but nothing came out. She grabbed her throat and frantically touched her mouth. Why couldn't she talk?

"L-Lee…" Manny looked at Keng. "What did you… do?"

"You want to know something?" Keng addressed the crowd. He turned to look at them, his cold aura making everyone uncomfortable around him. "When we were seven, we got caught in a place we shouldn't have been. Y'know who got us in trouble and ran off on her own? Sara. She wanted to break into the Creator's blocked off lab where the risky dangerous experiments were because there was a cute man there. She wanted to see him. Manny and I went along because she threatened us.

"Sara's as crazy as it can get and…" Keng's eyes landed on Sara. "It's probably better whatever feelings I had for you were smothered out years ago." Sara's eyes grew wide as Manny grew more uncomfortable.

'What does he mean by that?' Manny thought, taking glances at Keng. 'Does he… Remember? N-no, he couldn't.' Keng moved straight up to Sara as her teammates broke out of whatever fear they were under and rushed to aid their teammate.

"Hey, asshole if you're gonna attack a woman like this, you should—"

"This is between me and her. Why are you butting in? Did she blackmail you too?" Keng asked, turning to face Sara's teammates. A strange energy wrapped around them, holding them in place as Keng looked at Sara. He leaned in and whispered to Sara, "When Mom died, you and Manny left just like Jae and Jason left. Why should I take anything you say seriously? You used me? No, Sara… I used you. So if you want to act all high and mighty and run and tattle, go ahead… I'll make sure everyone see's the true you. I'll make sure you'll be as lonely as I was when I needed friends the most."

Sara's breath grew sporadic as Keng removed himself from her. He turned and looked at Manny. They didn't hear a thing and they wouldn't. If Sara wanted to play a game, Keng would play. He would play a cruel game where if he did succumb to the curse of the demon fox, he would kill her first. That was for sure. fre𝙚𝓌𝒆𝚋noѵel.c𝚘m

"Come on, we got a job to do." Keng switched his mood. He turned Manny and led him to his friends. Liz, Olivia, Ritsuka and Evan split letting the two go first as they followed.

"What just happened?" Liz whispered to Ritsuka.

"I don't know." Ritsuka shrugged. "You've been friends with Manny for a while right?"

"Yea?" Liz nodded.

"Don't you know anything about those three?" Ritsuka asked.

"No. He doesn't talk about that time much. Even if he did, he only talks about Lee Seng and him."

"Sara! Sara! Are you okay? What did that bastard say to you?" Sara's teammate asked, loudly. The crowd watched as Keng and his teammates entered one of the empty teleporter rooms and shut the door. The invisible rune on Sara shattered. Sara's angrily screamed as she bunched her fists together. Her angry screams turned to laughter. She was looking like a maniac in front of everyone.

"H-hey I think we should go." Another teammate spoke up. They were looking around at the crowd. The crowd seemed more interested in what was happening between them than themselves. "Come on."

"Ahh!" Sara screamed, storming off. "Threaten me?!? Like your threats have any poison in them! They're all fake! You won't ever do it!"

'I won't do what I say I'll do?' Lee Seng's voice popped up in her head. Sara stopped, whipping around frantically. Lee Seng wasn't here at all.

"How is he—" Sara began to mutter as Lee Seng's voice broke through her thoughts, again.

'You want to play the game, again?' Lee Seng asked. 'Let's see how long you last. The game we'll play is… Mind hunter.' Sara grew cold. She shook her head.

"Wh-what? Y-you can't even… Why should I be… Scared of that?" Sara asked looking around as her teammates surrounded her.

"Are you okay?" Her teammates asked. Lee Seng's laugh echoed in her head.

'That's where you're wrong. I can and I will…. Let's see how long you last. BOO!' Lee Seng screamed in her head. Sara clutched her head and began to scream as unwanted memories grew in her head.

'How is he doing this?' Sara wondered. Everything around her was starting to split and fragment. It was turning dark and Sara couldn't tell what was real and what was fake.

"S-Sara…" Lee Seng called out to her. She froze. "Can you just please choose me? Please?" A younger version of Lee Seng stood a couple feet away from her, head down. His eyes were wet and his eyes were red and puffy. "Please… I need you. Please."

"No." Sara involuntarily spoke. "I…" The unwanted memory grew as Lee Seng stopped acting in the memory. The scrawnier Lee Seng from that Summer looked up at her with a smile.

"Should we find out why you left me?" Lee Seng asked. He began to walk up to Sara as fear grew.

"H-how can you do this? You're not even like Number 1 at all! How can you do this?" Sara screamed. Lee Seng shrugged, raising his right index finger. He moved it slowly to Sara's head as the sinister red and blue eyes flickered onto the scrawnier Lee Seng.

"Why did you and Manny leave Lee Seng?" Lee Seng asked. "Well, it's not like you'll remember this anyways… So, why?"
