Chapter 96: Chapter 90 Second Master Suffered a Severe Illness After That 2_2
"Don’t talk about Oliver Turner like that. I don’t think he’s as bad as you say.
Besides, he helped me when I was in trouble, and I’m grateful for that.
And once again, stop talking to me about Hunter Warren.
You don’t know what happened between us because you weren’t there.
Everyone can give advice to others.
But the real truth is something only I know.
The idea that he cares about me is all a joke.
Six years ago, he didn’t love me.
So I certainly won’t believe that my leaving made him fall in love with me.
I won’t believe that divorced people can get back together, either.
I know you’re trying to be good to Hunter, but you don’t need to bother.
If you really care about him, tell him to stay away from Faye Townsend."
Roman Hughes looked at her in shock, "Faye, why have you become so heartless now?
I remember you used to say you’d never change your heart in this lifetime.
Are all women as fickle as you?"
"Yes, that’s right, I don’t know whether other women are fickle or not.
As for me, I am.
I used to love him, but now I don’t love him anymore.
I have someone new in my heart now.
I was young back then, and naïve, so just forget all the things I said."
Roman Hughes looked sideways at her and sighed, "You’ve really made up your mind..."
"Yes, I’ve made up my mind.
We’re almost at your place, there’s something I want to ask you.
Lately, are there any good real estate developments in Anchester?
I want to buy a small villa."
"For you to live in?"
Faye Townsend nodded, "Yes."
"Then why buy a small one? Big ones are more comfortable.
The new villa district with the best environment in the city of Anchester is on Stone An Road.
But it should be sold out by now."
"Then why recommend it to me? I need a ready-to-move-in house."
"You’re in such a hurry," Roman Hughes crossed his arms and propped up one leg.
"I invested in a villa there before, and it’s beautifully decorated, fully furnished, been two years now, so there’s no worry about air quality inside. You can move in with just a suitcase.
I’m not bragging about how great I decorated it.
The yard alone is over two hundred square meters.
You could build a small playground for kids in the yard.
I know the developer, so I bought it at a cost price of thirty-four million. You just give me thirty-four million, consider the decorations a gift from me."
Faye Townsend rolled her eyes at him, "Are you really that kind-hearted? This villa isn’t a deathtrap, is it?"
"Geez, this villa is worth at least fifty million now.
I’m selling it to you at a loss, and you still doubt me.
Here, these are the keys. You go see the house for yourself. Buy it if you want, don’t buy it if you don’t, better for me as I’ll save money."
Roman Hughes tossed the keys onto the dashboard.
Faye Townsend glanced at them, "Write down the address for me."
"One thing though, don’t flip it, or I’d really be at a loss.
The address is easy to find, 12 Stone An Road, no need to write it down.
You probably don’t have my phone number anymore.
I’ll write it down for you on a piece of paper, call me later."
He gave her the address, and Faye Townsend pouted, "I haven’t even seen the house yet, you’re worrying too early."
She dropped him off at the entrance of his current apartment and drove away.
Watching her car leave, Roman Hughes walked back while calling Hunter Warren.
Hunter Warren answered quickly, "What’s up."
"What’s happening between you and Faye Townsend?"
"Why are you suddenly interested in gossip?" Hunter Warren put down the pen he was holding.
Roman Hughes smirked, "Faye Townsend’s been treating you pretty badly lately, huh?
Are you feeling hopeless?
I’m telling you, you owe me a meal."
"What do you mean, you’re not making any sense."
Roman Hughes crossed his legs, "I’ll tell you, for your sake, I sold my villa to Faye Townsend.
I didn’t just break even, I sold it at a loss, isn’t that enough of a favor for you?
So do you think you should treat me to a meal?"
Hunter Warren’s lips curled slightly, "Does she know the villa is right next to mine?"
"Do you think if I told her that, she’d still want the villa?
She doesn’t even know it’s developed by your company, so rest assured."
"Alright, got it, when the new project is ready, I’ll give you a unit. You take care," Hunter Warren said before hanging up.
Roman Hughes was still hoping for some praise, but all he got was a busy signal.
Dissatisfied, he muttered, "Geez, this guy just uses people and then cuts ties. Giving villas is secondary; treating someone to a meal is more important, isn’t it?"
