Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 563 - 484 Beautiful! (Part 1)
Leon burst out laughing with a "Pfft," "Relax, we were just messing with you. Serves you right for being sick and going on vacation everywhere with your wife."
Tong Airui plopped himself on the chair next to his dad. "Was I really just loafing around pretending to be sick? When I asked for leave, I even sent over proof, okay? Saying I went on vacation with my wife—now that’s an injustice! My dad was worried I’d spread the infection to the kids, wouldn’t even let us out of the bedroom. We had no choice but to go find somewhere else to stay."
Tong Airui turned to his dad after speaking, "You’ve got to back me up here!"
Long Che glanced at him, "You two stop messing around and pay attention to what Uncle Muta has to say!"
Tong Airui froze. Wait, something serious was going on?
Muta chuckled, "You’re both fathers now. Why do you start bickering the moment you meet?"
Leon said with a laugh, "You and Uncle Che are grandfathers already, but you two still bicker all the time."
"Honestly, instead of studying properly, picking up all sorts of nonsense!" Long Che scowled and turned to Muta. "Get to the point already—I need to hurry home and look after my granddaughter!"
"I’m sitting so far away from Uncle Che, and I can still smell the baby scent on him. Haha... Super Grandpa!"
"Haha..." Leon saw Long Che shooting him a dark look and quickly stopped laughing. "Dad, let’s get to business, let’s get to business."
Muta stopped laughing and looked at Tong Airui, "Airui, I just got a call for help from Emperor Haotian. His son has run away to Xiawu, but no one knows where he is. You need to send some trustworthy people to search for him quietly. This mustn’t leak—the Emperor is worried if anyone finds out his precious son isn’t in the palace, they’ll try to assassinate him."
Tong Airui frowned slightly. "Isn’t he supposed to be sick? What’s he doing running off to Xiawu?"
Muta laughed softly, "Apparently his health’s been improving recently. Emperor Haotian found footage at the airport showing him boarding the plane. He walked into the gate on his own."
Long Che turned to his son and said gravely, "He snuck out while that banquet was still going on the other day. He’s already been out for a few days now. If Emperor Haotian wasn’t desperate, he wouldn’t have come to us. You’d better hurry up and find him. Whatever happens, he must not come to harm in Xiawu!"
"Got it!" Tong Airui paused. "Do we have any photos? This Prince has been secluded in the palace for so long—we haven’t even seen him. How are we supposed to find him?"
"I’ve got two pictures here; they were just sent over." Muta opened his phone and sent the photos to Tong Airui.
Tong Airui glanced at the photos, then handed the phone to Long Che.
Long Che looked at them and smiled. "This son of Emperor Haotian certainly takes after him."
"You’ve visited twice and still haven’t seen him?" Tong Airui shook his head helplessly. "Honestly, Dad, I was hoping you could tell me if he has any distinctive features, so I could narrow the search range a bit."
"Something distinctive, and you didn’t already notice?" Long Che chuckled as he handed the phone back to his son.
"What?"
"He’s beautiful! Stunning! Just one look and you won’t forget him."
Tong Airui laughed in exasperation at his dad. "I’m not having this conversation with you anymore. I’ll go organize the search now."
"Is your cold even gone? If not, you’ve no business going home and seeing the kids."
"Doesn’t matter whether I’m better or not—I don’t have time to visit them anyway. I’m off."
Tong Airui bid farewell to everyone and quickly left the palace, returning to the Eagle Unit.
When it came to finding people, Mi Chenxuan and Dapeng were the experts. Tong Airui instructed them to take some men and start the search.
Once everything was settled, Fourth Master glanced at the time, got up, and walked out the door.
Yuan Hang approached him, "Heading home?"
"Mhm. Yi Luowa and the others have already arrived home, right?" Busy since returning, Tong Airui hadn’t even had time to call and only now thought to ask.
"They should be home by now."
Tong Airui gave Yuan Hang a look. What kind of answer was that?
Yuan Hang gave an awkward chuckle. "Don’t look at me like that—it’s kind of scary. Earlier on, I called Kou’er. She said they encountered someone unconscious halfway home and took them to the hospital. It’s been some time since then, so they should be back by now."
Tong Airui took out his phone as he walked, dialing his wife.
"Where are you?"
"Just got home."
"You’re something else! It was just sending someone to the hospital—why did it take you so long?"
"Doing good deeds requires follow-through! Uncle Muta was looking for you... it wasn’t anything serious, right?"
"Big deal!"
"Huh?!"
"He and Leon roasted me for faking sick!"
Yi Luowa pouted, "If they bullied you, you should go make Bert’s life miserable instead."
"That’s a great idea!" Tong Airui laughed and got in his car. "The person you saved—he didn’t pass out because of you, right?"
"No, he fainted on his own. The record from the car’s dashcam shows our rescue clearly. There won’t be any trouble."
"No trouble, good to hear. Honey, I’ll hang up now. We can talk when I get home—I’ll be there soon."
After Yi Luowa hung up, Youyou and Kou’er ran over. Youyou said in a whisper, "Sis, when Fourth Brother gets home, don’t tell him the person we saved is super handsome."
Yi Luowa teased, "Why shouldn’t I mention it?"
"Men are all jealous types. If they find out we saved such a good-looking guy, they’ll get mad at us."
Kou’er quickly nodded in agreement.
Yi Luowa grinned, "I won’t even tell him the person we saved is a man or a woman. How’s that?"
"Good plan!" Youyou closed the campervan door. "Let’s go inside and check on Sangyu and Ziyan. Sis, I think our Ziyan is definitely going to grow up to be even more handsome than that guy!"
Kou’er nudged her, "You’re telling Sis not to say anything, but you can’t stop mentioning him yourself!"
"Go back to your own house!" Youyou pretended to hit Kou’er, who jumped away to avoid her.
"Kou’er, just ignore her. Hurry home—Yuan Hang and Tong Airui will be back soon."
Kou’er pouted as she looked at Youyou, indignant, and stamped off. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Yi Luowa sighed and tugged Youyou over. "How many times have I told you not to mess with Kou’er? You never listen!"
"I just love how mad she gets without being able to do anything about it! Haha..."
"Haha..."
Outside, Youyou laughed, while inside the hall, Sangyu laughed.
Youyou darted into the room, leaving Yi Luowa behind. "Little Sangyu, why are you so happy today? Did you already know your aunt is back?"
"Haha..." Sangyu waved her tiny hands, looking at Youyou.
Youyou eyed her own hands, "Let Aunt wash her hands first, then I’ll come back to hold you."
"Don’t hold Sangyu even after you’ve washed your hands; her uncle’s going to be back soon." Yan Zi stood up with Sangyu in her arms. "You lot keep saying how much you love kids, but you never have any of your own! Look at Connie—she’s been so persistent, and now she’s about to be a mom."
Youyou pouted, "I’d like to have kids, but Mi Chenxuan keeps saying I’m still a child myself and wouldn’t know how to take care of one."
"Always talking back!" Yan Zi glared at her. "I’ve told you plenty: if you have kids, I’ll help raise them. But if you don’t, tomorrow I’m heading over to your sister’s place to take care of Duoduo instead."
Youyou, indignant, turned to Yi Luowa, just as she walked in, "Youyou’s making Aunt mad again?"
"Youyou didn’t do anything—it’s Aunt choosing to get mad herself!" Tong Yao laughed as she pulled Yan Zi back down onto the couch. "There are already two of them; you focus on these for now."
Yi Luowa turned to look at the two children, grinning as Ziyan raised his little hand toward her.
"Mommy needs to wash her hands first; I’ll come hold you soon."
Ziyan let out a small grunt from his spot in Grandma’s arms.
Yi Luowa dashed off toward the bathroom.
Youyou followed suit, running after her. "Sis, your aunt must be feeling upset seeing that Connie is also pregnant..."
"Keep your voice down! If she hears you, she’ll start scolding you again."
"Sis, tell Fourth Brother to get Mi Chenxuan back here. I’ll have an entire litter for her tonight!"
Yi Luowa laughed and gave her a playful kick.
"Wah wah..." Baby Ziyan finally reached his limit. When he started crying, Sangyu joined in right after.
Yi Luowa shrugged off her coat and ran back out. She had just taken Ziyan from Grandma’s arms when Sangyu had already turned into a crying puddle.
"Hold one and the other cries—might as well hold them both," Yan Zi said, seating Yi Luowa and placing each child onto one of her legs.
The two little darlings, once nestled against their mom, gazed up at her expectantly. Not long after, they turned into giggling cherubs.
"You two change your moods faster than the weather!" Yi Luowa said, equal parts amused and exasperated, looking at her children.
Tong Yao pulled out a tissue and wiped the sweat off Yi Luowa’s forehead. "Kids recognize people—they know you’re their mom. The last few days you’ve been away, these two felt like something was missing."
Yi Luowa looked at the two children, guilt written on her face. "Mommy won’t leave again in the future."
"Beep beep..." Yi Luowa’s phone rang from the bathroom.
Youyou immediately dug her phone out from her coat pocket, seeing it was Mai Zekai calling. Pouting, she pressed the answer button.
"Fourth Sister, the person we saved seems to be causing some trouble!"
