Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 549 - 471: Ten More Installments
"Joyina, stop messing around!" Mi Chenshuo laughed as he pulled Joyina into his arms. "Number Four already sorted out your filming location."
"He can be this nice?" Joyina pouted.
"When have I ever been bad?" Tong Airui, in a good mood, teased Joyina a bit before heading upstairs.
Yi Luowa was in the nursery playing with the baby along with everyone else. Seeing Tong Airui come in, she smiled and said, "Joyina didn’t eat you alive?"
"She wanted to." Tong Airui tilted his chin slightly toward his daughter. "Daddy’s home. Did you miss me?"
"Go change your clothes!" Tong Yao gave her son a shove.
"In a moment." Tong Airui laughed and looked at his son. "I have to greet our little prince first, or my wife will say I’m being biased."
Ziyan barely glanced at his dad, indifferent.
Sangyu, on the other hand, was quite cooperative, letting out a bubbly giggle.
Tong Airui fiddled with the buttons on his uniform. "My eldest daughter’s laughter is absolutely contagious. Sometimes, even in my office, I can hear her laughing."
"Sangyu loves to laugh, just like Luowa. That’s so different from you when you were little, always wearing a poker face," Yan Zi said with a laugh as she patted Ziyan’s head.
"Was I really like him when I was a kid?" Tong Airui chuckled and shook his head. "I was much more accomplished than him."
Yi Luowa laughed as she took the clothes he had taken off. "You more accomplished than my son? I’ve heard all about how when you were little, you talked the least, had the most devious schemes, and were ridiculously lazy!"
Tong Airui grinned and pinched her nose. "Who’s been feeding you these lies?"
"That’s none of your business." Yi Luowa laughed as she tugged him out of the room. "Don’t think stripping off your clothes earns you the right to hold the baby. Go wash your hands first."
Number Four had no choice but to follow his wife back to their room.
While he washed his hands, Yi Luowa fetched a set of loungewear and placed it on the bed. "Honey, arrange a filming location for Joyina. It’s rare to see her so motivated."
"It’s already arranged."
"Why the sudden change of heart?"
Tong Airui shot her a side glance. "I’m afraid of you nagging me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t take on such a hassle."
"Where did you arrange it?"
"Jianshan Base."
"That’s pretty far."
"The farther, the better. Watching her waltzing around in front of me every day—it’s impossible to describe how annoying it is."
Yi Luowa gave him a sideways look. "Tomorrow’s our day off. I want to visit the estate and see Second Uncle and Huo Li."
Tong Airui paused as he held the towel. "I can’t make it tomorrow. How about you pick another day and I’ll go with you."
Yi Luowa pursed her lips. "I can go by myself. I don’t need you to come."
"I’d feel uneasy about that." Tong Airui placed the towel back down. "There’s an optimal time for visiting the estate."
"Tch!" Yi Luowa started to leave.
Tong Airui quickly ran out and grabbed her. "Wait until Mom and Dad go to Haotian. Then we’ll take both kids to visit. They haven’t been to their grandparents’ house since they were born."
Yi Luowa laughed upon hearing this. "I wouldn’t dare imagine it. When Dad and Mom are gone, the house still has Grandpa, Grandma, and Auntie. Do you think they’d agree?"
"As long as Dad isn’t home, it won’t be a problem."
"Alright, then we’ll wait until Dad and Mom leave, and we’ll visit the estate."
Tong Airui slightly furrowed his brow. "So, you’re still planning to go tomorrow, huh?"
"I’ll go in the morning and come back in the afternoon."
"You won’t get too excited and decide to stay overnight, right?"
"You three men are at home. How could I bear to stay over there? I’ll definitely come back!"
Tong Airui pulled down his pants and changed into his loungewear. "You do as you see fit. But if I don’t see you back by four o’clock, I’ll send someone to drag you back!" 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Yi Luowa pouted and picked up his clothes that he had thrown on the floor. "Tomorrow’s a holiday. Where are you going?"
"Bert, that annoying guy, he’s getting married soon—tomorrow’s his suit fitting, and he insists I go with him."
"Then go keep him company."
Tong Airui sighed and flopped onto the bed. "Thud."
Yi Luowa cast a bewildered glance at him. "Why are you lying down now? Aren’t you going to check on the kids?"
"I already heard Dad’s footsteps. If I go now, it’ll be pointless."
"I didn’t hear anything." Yi Luowa, unconvinced, walked to the door and peeked out through the crack. Sure enough, Dad was heading upstairs. Smiling, she softly closed the door.
"Come over and lie with me for a while." Tong Airui reached out for her.
"I’m afraid you won’t be able to control yourself."
"I really don’t have that kind of mood right now."
"Your mood is always ready and available." Yi Luowa pouted and backed away a step.
"Come here!" Tong Airui, seeing her dodge him, propped himself up.
"I’m not coming."
"I’ll count to two. If you don’t come over, I’ll drag you to the hallway and handle you there!" Tong Airui said as he started to get up.
Yi Luowa burst into laughter. "I’ll go wait for you in the hallway right now. If you don’t come, you’re not a man!"
