Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 521 - 447: With Them, You Forgot About Me (Another Update)_2
Madam Jing Ya still seemed a bit tense, "I’ll call Kaikai to ask. Shuoshuo, call your mom and ask them where they are now. Send a few people to escort them."
"Grandma, my dad and mom always have people following them when they go out..."
Joyina slapped Mi Chenshuo’s thigh, "Why so much talk? Just do as your grandma says, and do it quickly!"
You glanced disapprovingly at Mi Chenshuo, "No need to call, I’ll go meet them. There’s only one route; I won’t miss them."
Madam Jing Ya grabbed You’s hand, "It’s dark, don’t go out. Send more bodyguards to escort them."
Mi Chenxuan burst out laughing, "Grandma, even ten of our bodyguards might not be able to take on my wife in a fight."
"Grandma, you really don’t need to worry so much. There are always people guarding us. Criminals would think twice before trying anything." Tong Airui stood up, "I’ll contact the police station to ask about the details so we don’t turn our home into a situation of paranoia."
Madam Jing Ya nodded.
Seeing Tong Airui head into the study, Mi Chenshuo also took his phone out to the balcony. Just as he dialed the number, a familiar ringtone sounded nearby.
Yan Zi chuckled, "I’m already here, so why are you calling me?"
"Your son misses you," Mi Xiaotian said with a laugh.
Madam Jing Ya felt more at ease seeing her daughter and son-in-law arrive.
Yi Luowa also helped her grandma by dialing Mike Kaikai’s number. Upon hearing that everyone in their group was home, Madam Jing Ya finally felt completely reassured.
Yi Luowa noticed her grandma had calmed down and headed upstairs to carry the two children down. The family played with the little ones for a while and quickly left their earlier concerns behind.
Tong Airui stayed in the study for about half an hour before emerging. Yi Luowa, holding Ziyuan, glanced at him, "Did you find out?"
Tong Airui bent down to touch his son’s head, "Yes, I found out. The victims are all young women, and all of them were alone outside when they encountered trouble."
"Sigh..." Yi Luowa sighed heavily, "Losing life so senselessly. How much must their parents be grieving."
Sangyu, hearing her mother’s voice, turned her head from her grandaunt’s arms. Yi Luowa gently touched her little hand sticking out from the blanket, "Why are you looking at me? Didn’t I just hold you a moment ago?"
Sangyu pouted and began to cry.
Tong Airui quickly took his daughter from his aunt’s arms, "Poor little thing, Mommy didn’t hold you, but Daddy will."
"Rui’er, support her waist properly," Yan Zi corrected Tong Airui’s holding posture and then turned to her two sons, "You two, along with Rui’er and Nuo’er, try to stay with your wives as much as possible these days. Make sure they don’t go out alone."
The male relatives quickly nodded.
"Did no one call Qiqige? It’d be best to inform her and Lance too. They’re surrounded by tourists there; it’s not safe."
Connie quickly said, "I sent my sister-in-law a message. She replied, saying she’d be cautious these coming days."
Yan Zi turned to her mother, "Everything’s arranged, Mom. You should rest now, along with Uncle Charlie."
Madam Jing Ya nodded and left to the bedroom with Prince Charles supporting her.
Yan Zi turned to Tong Airui, "You all haven’t had proper rest in days. I’ll take care of the kids so you can all rest early."
Tong Airui grinned, "Auntie, I just called my dad. He’s not coming home tonight, so this is a rare opportunity..."
Yi Luowa burst into laughter upon hearing this, "The baby can sleep with us tonight!"
Tong Airui smiled and nodded, "Enjoy the moment."
"Hehe...," Yi Luowa cheerfully got up, "Everyone should head to bed early."
"Look how eager you are!" Tong Aino laughed, standing up, "Goodnight, everyone."
Everyone dispersed to their rooms, but Yan Zi still gave Yi Luowa some parting reminders before retiring to her own bedroom.
Yi Luowa placed her son on their big bed and laughed, "Honey, put Sangyu down too."
Tong Airui chuckled and gently placed his daughter down. The two little ones curiously looked around, and it wasn’t long before Ziyuan grabbed his sister’s hand, pulled it to his mouth, and started chewing on it.
Little Sangyu seemed to be used to her brother’s antics. She kicked her tiny legs and burst into giggles.
Yi Luowa lay on the bed watching them, occasionally letting out a silly laugh.
As she gazed at the children, Tong Airui gazed at her, silently counting in his mind, "... Nine, nine and a half... Ahh!"
Tong Airui shook his head helplessly. In the past, whenever he stared at her, she would sense it before he counted past three. This time, however, he was almost at ten, yet she was still absorbed in watching their two children.
"You’ve been staring at me for ages. Is there a flower on my face?" Yi Luowa leaned on her hand, grinning at him.
Tong Airui arched a brow, "You knew I was looking at you, so why didn’t you respond?"
"I wanted to see how long you could hold out," Yi Luowa said, pulling him closer, "Look at them; aren’t they adorable?"
Tong Airui lay down beside her, drawing his wife into his arms, "Now that we have them, you’ve forgotten about me."
Yi Luowa playfully patted his head, "You gave them to me—how could I ever forget you?"
"Glad you know!" Tong Airui gently kissed the top of her head and pulled out his phone, "Dad sent me a schedule. I’ll check what they should be doing at this time."
"Dad is truly an exceptional grandpa!" Yi Luowa laughed, reaching to free her daughter’s hand from her son’s mouth.
Left with nothing to munch on, Ziyuan turned his big eyes toward his mom.
Yi Luowa chuckled, "Why aren’t you crying?"
Ziyuan ignored his mom and turned his head back toward his sister.
Yi Luowa laughed while releasing her daughter’s hand, which went straight into her own mouth as soon as it was free.
"You don’t mind your brother’s germs, huh?" Yi Luowa quickly pulled her daughter’s hand away.
Clearly less patient than Ziyuan, Sangyu burst into tears the moment her mouth felt empty.
Yi Luowa hurriedly sat up in alarm, accidentally bumping her elbow against Tong Airui’s face behind her.
Tong Airui rubbed his cheek where he’d been hit, "See? Your teasing made her cry."
Yi Luowa shot him an apologetic smile, "Her brother just finished chewing her hand, and she went right to chew it next. It’s unhygienic!"
"Kids don’t care about that," Tong Airui said, sitting up. "They need to sleep now anyway. I’ll call the nanny."
"Make sure she brings over their blankets and pillows too," Yi Luowa said, lifting her crying daughter, "Mommy was wrong. I promise not to meddle anymore."
Before she could fully calm her daughter, her son on the bed also started crying. Sweat quickly formed on Yi Luowa’s face as she alternated between bouncing one and stroking the other.
The nanny soon followed Tong Airui into the room and carried away the two crying children.
As soon as the kids were gone, Yi Luowa collapsed onto the bed, "Dad and Mom must have a tough time looking after them."
"Dad and Mom have more experience. They know what to do before the kids start crying," Tong Airui said as he set several alarms on his phone, "I’ll prepare in advance too, so they won’t cry. In half an hour, they’ll fall asleep peacefully, and the nanny will bring them back."
"Then we’d better hurry and take a shower," Yi Luowa said, climbing out of bed and pulling out two sets of pajamas from the wardrobe, "Honey, is Dad staying out tonight because of the issue in R Country?"
"No, he and Mom are working on the same case."
"Dad is involved in this too?" Yi Luowa looked at Tong Airui with suspicion, "How big is this case to warrant Dad’s involvement?"
