Billionaire Legacy: I Became Overpowered With My Spending System-Chapter 102 - Kill!
Chapter 102: Chapter 102 - Kill!
Derek’s expression quickly changed, surprise on his face as he slammed the back end of his spear into the ground.
Three large earth walls rose from the ground in seconds.
Jumping to the side, Logan quickly dashed around the walls.
Seeing Derek again, he frowned slightly, surprised to see lightning crackling under his feet. ’So that’s his second element,’ he thought.
Derek created several earth spikes, letting them spin wildly in the air.
’It should be manageable,’ Logan thought, narrowing his eyes. ’Even when I’m holding back.’
Three spikes shot towards him at lightning speed, barely giving him the time to dodge.
As he jumped aside, Logan pointed his glaive towards Derek.
Dark chains rose from the ground, binding firmly around Derek’s legs.
’’What is this?’’ Derek shouted, immediately slashing his spear down.
The chains were durable, not breaking after a single swing.
His expression paled as he realized his mana was slowly being siphoned away.
He hacked twice more at the chains, lightning crackles appearing around his spear after the second swing, when the chains finally broke loose.
In that time, Logan had closed the distance between them, grinning wildly.
’’Fuck,’’ Derek shouted, desperately raising his spear in front of him.
Logan leaned down, slashing his glaive up with powerful might. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Using his full momentum, Logan took another step, immense strength flowing through his arms as he sent Derek flying.
Derek landed a few feet away from him, cursing as he scrambled to get on his feet.
Coughing, his arms still trembling from the impact, Derek took a few steps back.
’’What?’’ Logan asked, approaching him. ’’Not so arrogant anymore?’’
’’Fuck off, you pathetic orphan,’’ Derek shouted, slamming his spear into the ground.
The ground under Logan shook as a stone hand rose from beneath his feet.
Having long expected this move, Logan quickly jumped back.
Derek grit his teeth and ran away to create distance between them.
As Logan chased after him, Derek suddenly turned around and slammed his spear into the ground.
’’See how you get out of this, pathetic worm!’’ he shouted, a cold smile appearing on his face.
Several earth walls shot up, covered in massive spikes, trapping Logan inside as lightning crackled over them and the ground shook.
The walls were closing in fast, and the lightning began to numb his legs.
Logan didn’t hesitate, channeling fire mana through his shoulder blades.
He firmly put his feet on the ground as two fire wings grew out of his back.
Crouching slightly, he used his full strength to leap off the ground.
At the same time, the wings on his back flapped down, launching him high into the sky as the walls crashed shut behind him.
The crowd gasped as Logan soared over the wall, two blazing wings on his back and a glaive covered in fire.
Derek’s eyes widened in shock as he watched Logan in the air—then a slow grin spread across his face.
He generated seven extremely sharp stone spikes with lightning crackling around them.
’Again,’ Logan thought, narrowing his eyes as his instincts screamed at him. Behind him, the wings on his back flickered and vanished.
This time, however, he covered the spikes in thin lightning energy, calculating where Logan would land before firing them away.
The spikes shot through the air, the lightning making them much faster than regular ones.
Logan’s eyes widened slightly, quickly spinning his glaive in front of him as the spikes clashed into him.
One spike slipped through, managing to scratch his shoulder.
Logan landed on the ground heavily, cracks spreading under his feet.
He glanced at the wound on his arm, feeling the fire in his body push out the electric numbness.
Even if it was just a graze, his smile faded.
’The protection badge did not absorb the damage...’ he thought, narrowing his eyes as he looked at the jurors.
None of them looked like they planned to interfere.
’I see...’
In the distance, Derek kept making more of those same spikes, a smug grin on his face.
’Fine,’ Logan thought calmly. ’I’d expected something like this.’
’But that was the last chance you had.’
Logan ripped the protection badge off his chest, throwing it on the cracked ground beside him.
The crowd gasped, murmurs spreading through the arena as the camera zoomed in on the badge on the ground.
’’Is he crazy?’’ Grant shouted in the box, looking at the others.
Livia stood up slowly, staring through the glass pane.
No longer holding back, fire ran rampant through his body as his skin began to glow with radiant yellow light.
The small scratch on his shoulder regenerated within a second, as even his eyes started glowing in a yellow color.
Tens of spikes approached him at lightning speed, but it didn’t matter to Logan.
He easily moved aside, letting them crash into the arena walls behind him with a loud bang while slashing through the ones heading straight for him with ease.
Leaning over, Logan shot towards Derek.
For the first time, he saw a fearful expression on Derek’s face.
Derek tried to raise another wall in front of him, but Logan sliced through it like butter.
’I’ll put an end to your shady bullshit,’ Logan thought, channeling his undead mana into his spear. ’Even if that means I’ll be expelled.’
The flame around his glaive changed rapidly, evolving into a black-yellow-like flame.
Logan gripped his glaive tightly with two hands, swinging it horizontally towards Derek.
Fear spread across Derek’s face as he tried to block it, raising his spear in front of him as a last-ditch effort.
To Logan, it didn’t matter.
His glaive disintegrated the spear on contact, slicing clean through it before continuing toward Derek’s chest with its full momentum.
A blue barrier spread over Derek’s body from the badge, just as he opened his mouth to scream.
Logan’s glaive didn’t stop.
The black-yellow flames devoured the barrier on contact, disintegrating it like paper before slicing clean through Derek’s torso.
Slowly walking forward, Logan put his glaive on his back as Derek’s voice came from behind him.
Logan didn’t look back. He didn’t need to.
’’Wha—’’ Derek tried to say, both arms gone and the top half of his torso missing.
The pieces of his body fell to the ground one by one.
